I guess the LPM paid the FAWTL bill in the nick of time. It's what our taxes go for.

And the World's Series headline looked like my upcoming D&D session results: "Giants crush Rangers!"

Okay, let me see. He signs his SOUL to the DEVIL and complains when he's not as GOOD as he was before then. I agree with PirateDevon, if you want to be good, you don't trade your soul for power -- suck up the level loss and move on.

At first I was thinking that it might be borderline because he might have felt he was being force to change by DM fiat. Then, I realized (thanks to Ashe's comment) that he had a choice, and he had to have known the consequences of the choice he made. As long as he has an "out" that involves something more than an atonement spell, then I think it's fine.

I would see it as an interesting roleplaying opportunity, myself. :)

So I was thinking of having a cleric of Asmodeus appear in the middle of the night and appear only to the fighter for an opportunity. Basically give him a map, a ruby hilted dagger, and a small holy symbol of Asmodeus. The job is to follow the map to the end and kill the guy in the room at the end. Then place his body on the altar in the room driving the dagger through his heart and placing the holy symbol on his head. With that the contract will be fulfilled. Except the "room is a secret meeting place to Saranrae. The "guy" is an eladrin and if he does kill the eladrin and place the body on the altar with the dagger through it's heart and the holy symbol on it's forehead, it desecrates the temple and sets it on fire. What do you think too evil?
DMs can never be too evil, but the guy already whined about you 'pushing' him to LE so be prepared for more whining. I like the idea tho. Especially if the secret temple to Sarenrae is 'encroaching' on Asmo's turf.
+1 to what E7 said.

Well my thought is, I'd give him a chance to earn his freedom from hell. But this is the church of Asmodeus we're talking about. Not just the church of Asmodeus but also in Egorian in Cheliax. So the church of Saranrae thats there is an underground movement with a few vigilantes and the asmos are just helping to get rid of some social strife. I know he may b~*$& about it now, but it's a little solo mini adventure. He may be pushing closer to evil but he has his soul back and the asmos have dealt a blow against the small rebel group of Saranrae worshipers.

lovingly clicks on halloween photo link, sees they lead to facebook, escapes window popping open at last minute *whew* Shouldn't have clicked on that at work.. And oh yeah, facebook is evil, etc. etc.

Now, in this case, my reaction would be to warn the target and find out what's going on. In which case, I'd inadvertently help the secret temple of Sarenrae. :)

The only problem is that high level "Bestow Curse" used on him, it'll kill him if he tries to renege in anyway. His only hope is the The sanraeans (am I saying that right?) have a high level cleric with them that can remove or otherwise it's curtains.

Morning, FAWTLies.

Another challenging day at work. Too much to do, too little time. Prepping for another underway period. The combination of stress and impending separation has the depression settling in a bit early, which of course, sucks.

But, I can't afford to give in to it. (Reference "too much to do" comment, above.) I'll muscle through the day and look forward to dinner out with the family tonight.

The girls' kindergarten teacher (and one of their favorite people in the whole world) will be coming over to tutor them. The recently-developed ritual is for everyone to go out to a local burger shop for dinner, afterward.

I hope everyone else is having a good day.

Happy Birthday, CJ!

I used time travel one in a game to get PC's to sell their souls to themselves. The look on the players faces when they figured out what was going on was priceless.

My oldest just started Highschool and he went with his younger brother in middle school. Mainly just so I could go and get my nieces and take them. I informed them though that this was the last year and that my youngest can ask his little cousin if he can take him Trick or Treat while the older kids stay at the house have a small party and hand out candy. Thankfully around here you see highschool kids out trick or treating anyway. Last year some of the costumes were a tad on the small size for a highschool girl. This year it was a little chilly out and you didn't see any of that.

Augh! Frustrating but not too horribly bad day. Had to wait extra half hour to take extra long test because computers were down and lost one of my favorite scarves. :(
But I did really well on said test, and the kidlet is almost done with his homework from yesterday and tomorrow (today is a no school day, and he is getting testing done tomorrow at UM autism center, so we got his homework ahead of time) so he'll be able to just enjoy the rest of the day off.

Well, I did get Thanksgiving off to go home and visit family. We're celebrating my grandmother's 90th birthday this year, family coming from all across the US and even beyond to celebrate. I think having to be on call Chrstmas is worth being able to celebrate that.

I love being on call during Christmas / Thanksgiving / Hollidays. Either time and a half or double time. Plus I can usually get in there, get the trouble fixed, and get out of there pretty quickly.
