I get that whenever I watch Beethoven. He wasn't really a dog.

Awright folks...I'm outta here. I've got one evening at the night job and then I'm off tomorrow to prepare for the con. I'll be checking with my buddy to see what needs to be done, but I think I'll spend the bulk of the morrow in Chinatown(which I have not been to in FOREVER) and attending a quick meeting at the second job. Still, I'll post more before then. Here's hoping everyone has a happy one.

This month my partner and I have been together for 9 years. For various reasons we do not have an exact anniversary date. We keep meaning to choose one, but it kind of slips our mind after the fact.
Congrats! You should pick a day. If only so that there is a day that celebrating occurs, and sometimes that celebrating comes with gifts. :)

*double-checks the Oxford History of Music*
That depends on whether German composer is the same thing as a German Shepherd. Either way his portrayal by a Saint Bernard was completely unrealistic.

We don't have a day either. Congrats though! We'll be 8 years sometime in November-ish.

This stuff I really don't get. How are colleges charging this kinda coin? My wife went to a Cordon Bleu program for one year, and came out of it with $60,000+ in debt. That's $512 a freakin month for 10 years. She got one of the best local jobs at one of the top restaurants and was the envy of her peers. The pay rate? $10/hr. And found out you'd have to work at that level, busting your ass for about ten years before ever getting a chance for a higher-level job.
I wonder if there's going to be an 'education bubble' like there was a mortgage bubble ...
ughh I am not as bad as Shiny, but my overall is somewhere near that 1 year. I am going back to get into a trade program because that is the easiest way to get through school, and head out for the workforce. I am really starting to think what a waste some 4 year institutions are.

Well, seeing the ju-e-chi pronunciation clinched its fate. For a guy who has only 40% of his hearing, I have to go with the path of least resistance. Occam's Razor and all that.
Besides, I'm going to enjoy this. :P

Well, there is no way I'm reading two thousand posts. I don't have that kind of time. :)
It's been a mixed week. The bad, well, the kidlet has been in constant trouble at school this week. :( And today was home sick with a head cold. :(
The good: The kidlet got approved for the research study at the UM Autism center. Woohoo! And I got perfect scores on both my chemistry and algebra tests this week. :)
Looking forward to gaming tonight. My poor character is having the worst week of her life. But it's made for some truly hilarious in-game moments so far. We'll see how this plays out....
Anyhow, hoping y'all had a good week. And now that I've given up on having to read the back posts, I'll start checking in again.:)
