Slipped on some ice on the way home from work Friday night, it's been immobile and in pain ever since.Had to call in sick to work because my knee still isn't any better. I feel like such a tool for doing it, but by the last hour and half of my nine hour shift last night there were tears in my eyes from all the pain.Whats wrong with your knee?
Be careful, I tore out my left knee about 14/15 years ago and it still causes me pain.
Had to send hubby out...in desperate need of Zantac...hurt very suddenly and badly. I think maybe I overdid it on the cake. Not supposed to have so much sugar... :(4 am, was up till 4am. :(
My sweet hubby was with me the entire time, even sleeping on the floor next to the couch when I came out here.

But I would not suggest drinking an entire bottle of Mylanta....does horrible... volatile...things to your tummy. :\

And finally, I'm trying to debate on a good trait. I already picked up Reactionary as one of them (a +2 to initiative is always good), but I'm being indecisive on the 2nd trait. I don't want to go with the Rich Parents and beef it up to 900 gp to spend even if it is the easy way out. Heh.Suspicious is always one of my favorites if you're going straight ranger; there is an Andoran one that gives you acrobatics too, IIRC.Ah yes! Pick up Sense Motive as a class skill. Good point. But I could use Acrobatics too.... hmmm... Considering I may take a level dip in Rogue for obvious reasons.
Does anyone know whether an Andoran Eagle Knight has ever became a PrC in any of the APs (as the Hellknights emerged in CoT)? I'm thinking of having him be an Eagle Knight of the Twilight Talons for role playing purposes.
I believe the Andoran Eagle Knight appeared in the Andoran player companion.
By the way, I will throw in another vote for Precise Shot. The ability to fire into combat without a penalty is always a good choice.
You're right. I saw that just an hour ago as I was collecting material to bring to the game tonight as the I'm the only one with wealth of material in hardcover form.

So while I am on sick leave, I had an awesome character concept. I am making a new Pc for my next PF game (whenever that may be) he's a LN Human, Garundi(Osirian) Sorcerer/Cleric of Nethys. Third son of a noble house sent to the clergy, (first son was sent to conquer{joined the army}, second son trained to maintain the houses holdings, 3rd son sent to the clergy). Plan to maybe make him a mystic theurge someday if he's lucky.

Yeah, restrictive diets suck. A lot. Why is it that the stuff you're not supposed to have suddenly becomes the yummiest food in the universe?

Second, if you decide to go the archer route for your combat feats at 2nd lvl, I've heard two different schools of thought arguing between picking up Precise Shot vs. Rapid Shot. Thoughts?Sometimes I like to grab precise shot at 2nd so I don't have to get point blank shot. Unfortunately PBS is a prereq for most archery feats any way. I say unfortunately because shooting things at a range of 30 feet pretty much invites the melee counter attack. Of course ranged sneak attack is normally limited to 30 feet, so this might be less of an issue if you're going to have rogue.
I always like rapid shot, but not necessarily for the 2nd level ranger feat.
I figure PBS won't be necessary if I can take any archery feats as a combat feat w/o being required to meet the prereq. So that is pretty much how I will spend those. I figure he'll be a 2H melee combatant who has the means to pull up a ranged weapon if necessary. I know that PS would be necessary to avoid hitting your opponents when firing into melee, but if we're coming into a campaign like RHoD, I figure RS would be convenient to pick off approaching opponents not in melee in the beginning rounds, drop the longbow and then wade into melee combat. Later, I can pick up Manyshot on the next combat feat.
EDIT: Since I only have 300 gp to spend and I dropped 250 of it on just the breastplate armor and greatsword, that leaves me with 50 left. I'll be working toward a composite longbow that's strength enhanced once I collect some loot. Hopefully that'll come into play by 2nd level.
Cool. That's not a bad way to go in my opinion. Improved Precise Shot (6th) and pinpoint Targeting (10th) can be fun too.

I reckon someone will change something before it's all over. Not sure if anything will actually launch this evening since aside from the GM having the core rules, I'm the only one with hardcovers. Fortunately some folks have PDFs on their electronic devices.
If I do the rogue dip, it'll just be for one level.

Second level rogue gives evasion and a talent. I like to take combat trick, and the BAB tax was paid at 1st, so you don't lose BAB for taking the second level. I really like evasion.

LOL! Organizing a group that size can be challenging like herding cats depending on the group. Where are you guys gaming?

I've created a trait for one of my players. He's playing a dwarf ranger and has chosen Magical Beasts as his favored enemy. The problem was that he didn't have Knowledge (arcana) as a class skill, which made it kind of tough for him to identify the creatures he's supposed to know the most about.
I came up with a trait based on the Mathematical Prodigy trait. The new trait grants a +1 bonus on Knowledge (arcana) and Knowledge (nature) checks and makes one of them a class skill. Since he's already got Knowledge (nature), the choice is obvious, plus he gets the +1 bonus to both skills.
My question is, what should I call it? I've already named it "Zoologist," but that seems too broad, since there are living creatures that would need knowledge (dungeoneering) to identify them, too.
Any ideas for a better name? Or should I just leave it as it is?

Arcane Naturalist or perhaps Arcane Hunter?
You could also make it a trait that gives a +1 to KNO:nature or arcane or dungeoneering and make the choice a class skill. That way it could be handy for aberration foes too.
