Love the series. It's really well done. But DEAR MERCIFUL GOD NO MORE!!!

Er, sorry about that. The kidlet was home sick from school yesterday after being sick all weekend. And he doesn't want to do anything other than watch repeats of Clone Wars when he's sick.

It could be worse .... like sparkly vampire worse.

It's easy for you to sit there in judgment.

You don't know the pain in my soul.

I wrote a poem about it:

Dressed all in black, like the stain
on my soul. It grows in festers,
feeds on loneliness like a gluttonous
otyugh. No one understands its depths-
no one except for...
Oh wait, that was just my mascara running.

Afternoon, FAWTLs!

Sorry to hear that Moorluck and Solnes's progeny are unwell and that Solnes seems to have fallen prey to the bug, too. I will send happy, healing vibes your way.

Today's been a typically crazy one, but it's almost over. I'm in the process of redoing the work that someone else should have done correctly the first time. Hopefully, I can get it finished before I have to leave this afternoon.

I have to get home before 5:30pm tonight, because Natasha has her first "cartooning" class. We're trying to get the girls to try different activities so they aren't always involved in the exact same things. This causes much stress for us as parents (and chaufeurs), but we hope it will contribute to happier, healthier Crenshaw girls in the long run. They spend so much time together, as it is, we want them to be able to do their own things. (For the record, Tatiana's "thing" for the moment is drumming lessons. She'd also like to take cartooning, but we're trying to steer her away from it for a bit longer, so Tasha can have something that is just hers.)

LOL. Diane is very generous. ;) I can only seem so because my wife and I are perfect partners. I certainly can't say that we do everything right, but I do think we work really well together, especially as parents.

Actually, we've started Tatiana out with an electronic drum set (with volume control!). She's been using that for the past year or so. If she keeps up the practice until March, when the girls (tentatively) get their own rooms, then we will look at getting her a real drum set which she can have in her room...and practice with the door closed.

If Natasha decides she does like the art classes and wants to continue pursuing that, her room will be equipped with an art table.

During my high school years, I took three years of drafting. Although I eventually graduated to Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software (which explains why I love Campaign Cartographer so much), I still have fond memories of the huge drafting table I got for my room, on which I created many massive maps of castles and dungeons during my high school gaming years.

The Worse, Riley is a sick little boy today. :(

What's going on in that house? Are we going to have to paint a great big X on it to designate it a plague house?

In all seriousness, I hope little Riley and Solnes get better quickly. This cold season seems particularly nasty for some reason. I know very few people who are completely well right now.

Thanks Allen, things like this always make a circut around the house. I'm next on the list, then it will be Arden's turn. :S
Hopefully it doesn't then make a new circuit or a new virus doesn't enter the mix. I swear John and myself have been trading colds back and forth for a month now.

You know how to avoid that right? ;P

I still miss the drafting desk I had in high school myself. Although I have an easel now that does the same job in less space. I was never about creating things on a grand scale. :)

Smart plan.

My daughter is a drummer too. Center snare for her #9 statewide marching band. Caution on the drumset. Doors aren't enuf. My boys are the cartoonists, but my daughter's not too shabby on that front.

Ahh, the days when they were little, sitting at the table drawing and laughing.

Cool. How old are your girls? My grandson is 2 and my granddaughter is about 9 months. Bless my daughter's heart; she has one in pull ups and one cutting teeth. She has her hands full, but I'm very proud of her. Diane's grand daughters who are living with us are 9 and 13. I'm surrounded by females, but they are good kids. At least we are way past diapers and projectile vomiting. ;)

My girls are 8...blonde-haired, blue-eyed twin girls. Eep!

I know what you mean about being surrounded by females. The only other male in my house is our 11-year-old cat. It's us with my wife, the girls, and the two younger cats (sisters, too).

Honestly, I don't know how parents with kids of multiple ages manage. The twins experience is all I know.

spoilered for length.

Spoiler:
As you can tell I am at home right now. I had a scare today after taking my new meds. I took both just to see what would happen. I got to work and all was fine. then about an hour and a half into my shift the trouble started. I was getting a little nauseous, then followed by a feeling little light headed. at 5:30 local time I went to the break room feeling extremely light headed, cold sweats, and very wiped out. The two remaining supervisors came in to discuss what I wanted to do, and asked if I was ok to drive home. Then one of them mentioned that I looked really pale. Decided to go the emergency room to check it out. One of them took me there. When I was admitted and my vitals were taken my blood pressure was 137/85, then shortly followed by 124/77, the lowest was 122/70 and when I was released it was 124/83. Looks like the blood pressure meds are working only 5 hours after taking them. That doctor said to take the meds again tomorrow before bed and if this keeps up see my doctor at the end of the week. So he sent me home to rest, and stick to liquids for food just to ease the nausea. If this keeps up my blood pressure will kill, but for not being too high. what a lovely day.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you taking? And yeah, definitely go see the doctor for an alternative. It took three different meds before I end up finding the right one (which I no longer take since the surgery).

And what really got me was I had actually crossed the obese line, I'm now just overweight, and my ultimate gym goal will to be to not have a gut someday. 7 months til Europe, I wanna look awesome and be the hawtness. Proud of you Jeremy! I had lost some but put it back on. I think I am back down another 10 or so. I am still down two pants sizes but it is beginning to be tight again.
