Just a lack of scholarly perspective of experts in relevant fields. Cherry-picking facts and putting them with certain assumptions so that you come out sad ass WRONG in your conclusions.
Well, I gotta go to class. Was I drawn in by the tall attractive brunette? May-be...
It is the same reason I do, part boredom, part that sensation that causes intelligent people to pay more attention to the car wreck on the side of the road than to actually driving and not causing another wreck. Plus at times its fun to throw popcorn or other food items easily clean at the TV and scream at the little people inside asking them WTF are they thinking.

The thing is, I'm sure many would say the same if you got your own show on another channel. Perspective is a weird thing. Still, I'd be interested in a rebuttal program, if you were to make one.

Sleepy cuteness, indeed. How am I supposed to be productive when she's doing that?

Good morning FawTlies.
Thank you all for the kind words, and M for asking after me later. I was at work and unable to get online. Things got better as the night progressed. As long as things today hold out we will have a good weekend. Its payday, which is a blessing. :P
I love you all!
Good to know things are slowly getting better. I will continue praying that your days continue their upward momentum.

squee! Cute kitty! :)
It's pretty near impossible. You realize she's really there because of the heat the laptop kicks out, right? Or it could be jealousy. My cats have a definite love/hate relationship with my electronic equipment.

Maybe some giant, plush dice.I reccomend a nice plushy Cthulu- the one that growls when you squeeze if it's still available.
Heck, I'd want one of those. I wasn't aware a variant of that existed??
I was suprised, too. I got a plushy from the flgs and gave to a friend's little girl. She grabbed it and fell over on it. When it growled at her, her eyes got big and she started running around the room, bumping it into things, and giggling.
So I went back to the store and got myself one. The owner had just restocked and didn't even know they growled.
He hasn't been able to get them since.I'm curious whether it has a tag that indicates who the manufacturer is?
It was by Toy Vault (products avaiable here at Paizo), but they are prone to limited editions of my beloved Cthulus.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a combination of warmth and jealousy. She's old and creaky and always seeks out the warmest possible spot to nap. And she's my little velcro-kitty. Every time I sit down, my lap sprouts a Maya. And if she can't be in my lap, she wants to be as close as possible otherwise. It's terribly cute, if a little difficult to work around. :)

I understand. How old is little Maya? My kitties are elderly themselves, as Hikari is nearly 11 and yami will be 10 in a couple months. Our old family pet Charlie lived to be about 21. I'm hoping these little guys live a good long life too.
Sometimes I feel guilty keeping them indoors and depriving them of so much freedom. But Hikari was abandoned in the wild before I rescued her, and has some nasty scars from something on her nose right next to her eye (it actually damaged her tear duct an nose so her eye's always tearing and she has a hard time breathing on one side of her nose), so I think all in all I did a good thing. Yami's been a pet a whole life, and I don't think he could ever have survived in the wild.

I think it's probably for the best. My older kitty Lola was pretty insistent on going outside (refused to use the litter box ever) so she was indoor/ outdoor. She was about 19 when one day she just never came back in :(
We found her a few days later, she'd just found a tight corner to hide in and just never left it.
I like to think it was her choice but still feel terrible about it.

My understanding is that cats tend to do that. We'd rather they spent their time with us when they feel it's time to go, of course. When my cats are feeling under the weather, I don't get worried until they hide in a corner - that's when I'm in a panic, afraid for them. :(
It's so hard to lose pets - but it's only hard because we care for them and them for us. All in all I'd say it's a pretty good deal!

They'd find things to argue with, for certain. But here's the thing about areas of religious studies: everyone thinks they have a valid opinion on the matter, in spite of the fact that they are as just as well-informed in advising the mechanic of a contemporary automobile (assuming they are not a auto-mechanic) who is attempting to fix a complex problem with their car or just as skilled as the brain surgeon who will be trying to save their life with an operation. They in fact are not so skilled or informed, but many would be out raged if it was suggested they were not.

Sadly, I've been conditioned since I was a wee lad to be an early riser. My Highschool actually went from 5th to 12th grade. When I was in 5th grade, my two older brothers were a Senior and Junior,a nd each had a 7:30 am class. So we all had to get up very early.

People need to learn to *read* non-fiction again. You can watch Top Shot or IRT all you want, but it defeats the point of naming your channel "History". I wish they'd just go the SyFy route and just make up some new name, then they could put wrestling on for hours and hours. >:(

Actually, the history channel is just one information venue that has been co-opted by a more advanced human civilization from an alternate universe. They discovered the existence of the multiverse long ago, and realized that they could seize control of all existence by slowly changing the other earths to be just like them. Thus, they've infiltrated organizations like the History Channel, using them to re-write our history to more closely resemble theirs, thus slowly morphing our own space-time continuum into the same frequency theirs has and overwriting our reality with their own.

Because in their reality, Firefly is still on the air and the show's fans are the rulers of humanity. Their main goal is to ensure the multiversal spread of the show.

REALLY! (Syfy channel parallel?)
It's possible to find a good show on the Hiztery Channel, that actually is historical, but it's disturbingly difficult to do so.
Unfortunately, good and historical do not always travel in the same circles.
There is also more than a bit of "it's historical/factual/okay when I do it, complete and utter bunk/wrong when you do it" in the field from what I've seen.
