I start taiko lessons tomorrow! I'm doing the recreational track - the performance track requires you pass physical fitness requirements (I'm doing it to find an activity I enjoy doing to get into shape, after all...) and you end up performing publicly. Um...not sure about that yet!

Then tomorrow night a friend who's a little too busy with family stuff the last few months to game with us is throwing a party, so that will be fun. Then Sunday...Kingmaker!

Hrm. I will need time to work on Kingmaker stuff before Sunday....

...or I could just wing it! All the monsters attack Wolfthulhu!

TWICE!

LOL- I find this strategy works in Runelords too.

It's sausage pizza night. I'll send you the feed!

On the menu tonight: crab-stuffed flounder, oven-roasted cauliflower and brussels sprouts, and wild rice. Delicious.

Tasty! Mustard marinated salmon, Carribean-inspired jasmine rice (some spices, a little fruit), and perhaps some veggies here.

I'm making fish tomorrow too.

My partner won't eat it, so I'm taking advantage of him being out of town.

rant

Spoiler:
Roommate is pissed of at something, and is taking it out on everything. I am sick of his f!%$ing temper. He never thinks of prepping his cooking. he does everything at once and gets pissed off at the smallest thing. I am just sick of his explosive temper and there is a tendency for objects to start flying when this happens. I have finally had enough and refused to cave in this time. which only pissed him off more so I am just letting it settle on its own now. Good news is he is going to do something productive now and I am getting the place to myself

If we had the money, the missus had explicitly stated she'd go to Seattle if there were others that had 'normal' spouses to go out and do excursions while the rest of us got our geek on. Shooting for 2012 for certain and maybe make a week out of it.
That would be me. My wife would want to go and hang with "normal" people.

You could try Todd McFarlane's website.

Honestly, though, if you want my opinion on this, there are much better artists out there than Todd McFarlane. If you wanted, I could do a McFarlane-style demon in the style of, say, Dave Johnson or Mike Mignola.

If two of those three went away tomorrow, the entire world would collapse. The reality is, you can't live without those things without going all "Mad Max". 90% of everyone's money is in an electronic medium, only 10% of our total money is printed. Oh, and those pieces of paper would be worthless were the technology we have now to disappear.

I get what you're saying, but we really can't live without phones or the internet any more. An individual could (though their life would suck, prospective employers really hate not being able to get a hold of people, for one), but society as a whole would be FUBAR.

Or remember how much calmer life was without them. Or on the other hand recognize the usefulness or potential of this new found tech.

Between him and Joe Sinnott, I spent my childhood dreaming of drawing comics.

As an aside, Joe came to my middle school and I got to sit with him all day and draw, I still have a couple of the pics he did for me that day. One of the best days of my young life.

Liberty's Edge

I never got too into comic books (just TMNT, Tank Girl and JTHM, really), but I like the art.

Yeh-heh!

Despite the horrible movie, which I kinda liked anyway, I loves me some Tank Girl.

Comics were my escape, sitting around and daydreaming about super heroes, and crushing on She-Hulk, got me through some of the darkest moments. I can't get into them today though, I know I may be in the minority but if I want dark and depressing I'll watch the news.

Solnes is in the kitchen cooking breakfast. I got the kids all psyched up because she's making "Deathstar" shaped pancakes. :P

Liberty's Edge

I hated the movie. No club Koala, no Steve, Booga as a mouth breathing idiot, and I think the movie should have started with her as a bounty hunter, like the comic, chasing the one kangaroo, falling into the crater with him, shagging, then blowing his head off and collecting the bounty.

Instead, I get that annoying skank Lori Petty completely ruining TG.

Looks wise and voice wise, I think Pink would have been better for me, if she could act, and they waited five years to make it.

Liberty's Edge

But, man, Booga was freaking COOL. Smooth. Sexy (you know, for a dude. Who is also a kangaroo). He wasn't some brain damaged little mouth breathing kid.

Pink would be awesome. Who knows, with the resurgence of interest in comics, maybe we could see a better version. With Pink boobage.

.....what? I can dream.

Kids played rebel alliance and destroyed all deathstar pancakes. I am afraid none is left. But if you leave your place now, I can promise I will have more made by the time you get here. :)

Hey Freehold... I emailed you. Can you let me know if you get it?

Scarab Sages

I got a bit lucky yesterday morning when flipping channels - found the MGM HD channel showing one of the greatest pirate movies ever - Yellowbeard. Needless to say, I recorded and watched it last night. Awesome movie!

D&D session last night went great....sort of. I mean, Elijah Grace is now down yet more family members. In fact, all that is left alive is her niece and nephew. And now begins the debate of who to raise because we need at least one more person for the stupid ritual. And there's still most of a day left of yet more people and creatures trying to take out our intrepid heroes before the ritual can be completed. Yikes. I'm just waiting for the DM to start doing horrible things to her husband's family now that he's decimated hers. o.O
(20th level encounters are really freaking crazy. Just saying.)
