I will certainly not address your good lady in an inappropriate accent my friend.
But yeah ... I’ve noticed similar phenomena in other Americans (and to some extent Brits). Love it. ;-)
You would. lol

Mark Moreland changed the title, but a lot of people were still seeing the problem.
Closing my browser and restarting it seemed to have helped me.

May stop by this summer, depending on free time and cash. Thinking about swinging down to see you, as well as my dad in Augusta, and maybe even Moorluck and Solnes if they're not too busy.

Anyway,

But back to the topic on hand; if I don't have the problem why would I ever try to bring it on?
So a fellow Bugle listener.... His sister has an almost as funny Podcast called Answer Me This..

Hey Mothy stop posting pictures of me... I sure my beard was a more redish colour though.
Its funny being an Australian, I find our accent very unappealing... I love the melodic lilt of an Irish lass, or the seductive self assuredness of a Parisian woman, I even have a soft spot for the pseudo-chav of Lily Allen.

NO, clone Solnes, you don't have to pick that up. That's what we have all these CJ clones for. Hop to it, gentlemen.

Morning, all.
I won't drag him anywhere he doesn't want to go, but I don't think putting my life on hold any more than I already have is a good idea either. And if we stay put then we're both unhappy.
There's a realization that after 8 years, we may have to go to opposite sides of the country. Bear in mind that I think he would be miserable in Cali by himself with no immediate job prospects, but he doesn't want to hear it.
I think I would be miserable if I moved out there and had to do basically what I'm doing now for who knows how many years. I actually did that once already. I want to get on with my life, not stall.
Relationships are supposedly about comprimises, but what no one tells you is that a lot of the time comprimise is impossible. Sometimes two choices are mutually exclusive. When it's something so important, is that how relationships end?
Sorry if I'm a wet blanket. I just feel so alone.

Sorry to hear about all that, CH. I hope it's just a case of your partner feeling stressed out about his situation, and you can work something out.
When I was ready to leave my old job, I was so desperate I contemplated just up and quitting without a new job. My wife was supportive up to that point, and basically promised to kick my ass if I quit. Not exactly the same thing you're going through, I'm sure, but just trying to be supportive through rambling. Um, I hope it helps...

Aiya...I'm sorry to hear that, CH.
How long would he be in LA for, and to what purpose? Is he from there and wants to live there permanently no matter what? I know I get that way about Brooklyn sometimes, but I realize that if things really got bad here, I'd have to move, just like I did when I was a kid. Long story short, there's got to be a reason behind his gung-ho attitude- it's a matter of whether or not it's a reason that you can agree with or even tolerate.

So..on what's left of what I can remember, why the hell does he want to move to LA then? Yeah, it's got great weather most of the time, but there are things that are bad about it, especially if people discover you are former knickerbockers trying to do it up west coast style. Maybe you two should vacation there before moving across the country. I know what it is to be frustrated, but radical changes are very rarely happy ones.

It could also be that he's generally unhappy and is using this as an excuse to split. Making the partner the "unreasonable" person in the relationship is sometimes an exit strategy, though an unconscious one.
You have my sympathies. It's a difficult spot. How willing are you to sacrifice yourself for your relationship? It took me five years to answer that question. It's not an easy one.
My thoughts are with you. Stay strong.
