Well that is over the space of 4+ years.

And it's serious small fry compared to say Heathy, who's probably only been posting here about 6 months longer than I have, but has amassed something like 50,000 posts.

I have not been beck to any of those sites for so long, especially wizards that I bet I have maybe a few hundred at any given site. Except for shadowrun, never cared for it.

I've always been a fan of Shadowrun, but the new forums were kind of a wake-up call to me. I didn't realize how much I had to say on the subject until I look at the stats (they just started up in September) and realize I contribute 12% of the entire forum's posts.

What?!?!? You make it sound as if I do nothing but sit around and ruminate on how much I hate/dislike stuff.

pauses to sip Freehold DM brand Haterade Ah. So very, very good. Why I don't bottle and sell this stuff is beyond me.

Besides, even the most hardcore fan of Shadowrun in it's current incarnation has to admit something's a little off with this edition, *primarily* due to the state of technology in the world today with respect to technology in the fiction. Also, mages and shamans have become too similar(and the new totems too awkward/silly, although this is purely my opinion), and the death of popular shadowspeak terms(no more deckers, or even the use of the words chummer or frag in the fiction) results in a setting that has the name on it, but doesn't feel like Shadowrun. This isn't to say I don't want the setting to grow and evolve or time to pass(unlike in another forum/game setting I could mention...), but I feel they've updated in the wrong areas.

I am going to have to take a look at Shadowrun again, I haven't played since 2nd edition. And now to crack out Cyberpunk 2020. (More crack for you Emperor7).

...

To me, 2nd has the best "feel" and 3rd was a good update, although there were a few misses there.

See, I *like* 4th Edition because the stuff you're talking about is the fluff. If I wanna have runners that say frak and chummer and drek, that's easy to do. I think the rules are just easier to play with. Yes, they made Mages & Shaman more alike, but they are still different. Instead of having two sets of rules (or more if you played other traditions), you have one set that's modular to the traditions.

Anyway, back to regularly scheduled program.

I assumed that we were so loveable that some dark sadistic so and so would naturally oppose us. I can handle being universally loved and adored.

The original title was seriously messing up the appearance of the boards.

Mark Moreland changed the title, but a lot of people were still seeing the problem.

Closing my browser and restarting it seemed to have helped me.

Weird. It never threw me off at any point or messed up my formatting or whatever so it was hard to "see" the trouble as it were.

I was so worried I would be a lonely pirate...that's the worst kind!

Hah! The site is fixed! Now no one ever post in that thread again, or at least have someone edit a few spaces into the title.
