He will be all the happier for a less-stressed mommy. Unless of course he becomes a source of stress.

okay...I fully admit I did not have my glasses on when I first looked at this post- I thought you said the cookies were FLESHLIGHT flavored. Which just made me retch. I don't want cookies flavored like individual servings of passion! But then I put my glasses on and realized the post was okay. And that my mind goes in straaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaange places at times.

Heh. I read it that way at first, too.

Misfit Monsters jumped to the top of my precariously tall Paizo reading stack.

GAAAH! Curse my escapist tendencies!

I hate the fact that I develop the highest levels of creative energy when I am in the worst position to use them!

I'm busy as all get out, right now. It's not like the soul-crushing workload I was facing earlier in the year, but it's busy and it's work. For some reason, that means all I want to do is work on the writing projects I've been putting off for the past nine months.

For the record, I do realize that this is a VERY minor issue compared to the things some of my fellow FAWTLies are facing. I just felt the need to vent. I fervently hope everyone's burdens are lightened very soon.

Hey Mothy stop posting pictures of me... I sure my beard was a more redish colour though.

Its funny being an Australian, I find our accent very unappealing... I love the melodic lilt of an Irish lass, or the seductive self assuredness of a Parisian woman, I even have a soft spot for the pseudo-chav of Lily Allen.

Doesn’t look like your style of hat 8th, and I’ve never known you to get amorous with reptiles either.

I don’t mind an Aussie accent on a girl, but I much prefer something exotic sounding. Spanish, French and Eastern European accents tend to get me.

Two and a half hours. I mean, I know the work needs to get done. I know that the kidlet had a bad day today. But rlly? All of it had to come home tonight? We couldn't maybe try spacing some of this crap out? And why is it that the kidlet always comes home with a mountain of homework when I'm on my own with him? It's fifteen minutes to his bedtime and we haven't even had supper yet because I can't supervise his homework and cook at the same time. (He has issues with handwriting, so I often have to transcribe his answers for him.)

Sorry to hear your tale CH. In the end I think you need to make the choice(s) that are best for both of you in the long run, even if those end up being different things. Life sucks like that sometimes. Good luck to you both, I hope things work out for the best.

Gah! Homework. I hated it when I was in school, and I am not looking forward to it in a couple of years when my son is old enough to start getting it.

But really, two and a half hours worth in one evening? That cannot be good or healthy for child or parent.

Five years is an eternity when you recycle stories, er, revisit classics in comic book universes.

Just wait until 2015's "Final Crises on Infinite Multiverses".
