Well, it happened again tonight, only this time, they called one of the RAs from down the hall. Apparently, this was my "warning," and next time, there will be "consequences."

I hate living here.

The plot thickens. Apparently this particular RA is not even from our building, and she's been knocking on doors all over the floor, serving "complaints." A bit of setting:

Our building has three floors. The first and second floors are all freshmen, ages 17-19. The third floor, my floor, comprises all of the first-year undergraduate transfer students, ages 20-25. Alcohol IS allowed on our floor, but the rules regarding the few under-21 students are very fuzzy.

Last night, the same RA who has been knocking on doors for the past week, received a "noise complaint," and found four students, ages 25, 22, 21, and 20, in a room with alchol. None of them were drunk, and there was only one open container, a can of beer held by the 25-year-old. Believe it or not, these people were actually drinking responsibly.

These four students, along with three others that had been in the hallway outside the door, were "reprimanded and taken for questioning" by the Office Residence Life. I'm not entirely sure if ORL can actually do anything about it, but the fact that there are these kinds of shenanigans being perpetrated by ORL members does not speak well of their character.

I think my roommate Steve put it best: "They shouldn't put a group of adults in the same building as a group of teenagers and expect both groups to act the same. Either they should stop treating grown men and women like kids, or let us at least move into upperclassman housing. It's ridiculous."

Also, this proves that it's not just me--it's everyone on the floor that this particular staff member has a problem with. Actually, the problem is more with her than with us.

Totally unrelated, but I was going through the xkcd archives, and found this particular comic to be FAWTLworthy.

You have done well with your offering. Next time illustrate it for us. ;)

Congrats you made me laugh hard enough to cry. People think I am strange enough here.

taig's awesomeness is consistent across many short posts, making him a good performer and lead-off poster, though he really shines in the number two slot. You only award the cleanup-posters who get the occasional home run shot in. You should look at OB percentages.
Nah, I look for single, mind blowing posts.
I am kind of fond of this one. Not sure if it qualifies, but it certainly spoke to me. :)
I forgot...it was CH who liked a lot of my posts. He has better taste. :)

You are correct, sir. I am a fan of the taig-humor.

On another note, BEST ext, has seen fit to lie to the Unemployment commision about my termination, so I was declined my partial UE.

I went down there today, spent 3 hours waiting in line to schedule an appeal, on the grounds that I have a written statement from them that contradicts what they reported. My hearing will be set in 10-14 days, then it will be about 10-14 days after that to process it again, and a week before I get any money. Yay, I love bureaucracy at work.

Stick with it. Don't let them win.

Tell her if she keeps sexually harassing you, you're going to have to report it.

Hey, speaking of your general frustration with Syracuse and the dearth of game stores there, when are you road-tripping to Rochester?

Silver Crusade

Hi all! Hope all is well. I made chicken marsala for dinner tonight and it was excellent. We also went to the public market today, and I got some fantastic produce.

Does that make me old? That I get excited by fantastic produce?

I ate lots of Democrat chili tonight. And let me tell you, not all Democrats know how to make chili, just because they're Texans. But there were a couple of real winners in there. Oh yeah, I also heard political speeches and pressed the flesh. VOTE JUDGE D'METRIA BENSON FOR DALLAS CO CIVIL COURT #1!

Perhaps at some point after I get the fuel pump and gas gauge in my truck fixed?

It's my evil plan to find FAWTLies everywhere I go...

Fair enough. We could hit a game store and do lunch or something. It's only an hour drive.

Sorry Mairk about the post removal. I decided not to involve myself in the alignment discussion. I have a good enough idea on my own on what I allow in the game I run I don't need to discuss it.

Leafy is like a crusader. And not those ones that eat babies or what have you. But a real crusader, riding down from the hill to smite the soulless infidel. He can't help himself. It really is a sight to behold.

Heh. Thanks, Jeremy, but don't worry. I knew I was being half Don Quixote half Bugs Bunny.

Wow, Allen...now I feel kind of noble about the whole thing instead of pushing the jerk envelope.

Yes, thanks Jeremy. Unfortunately, it's going to be awhile for me.
Sorry to hear it, if I ever get a double (I need to get a bebilith or 2) I'll send it too you :)
WHAT?
Come on Urizen it's his favorite all time mini. It's now in the new ultra rare category, I opened 3 cases and only saw 1. So when I buy another case next week the least I can do is give him an extra mephistopholes if I get it.
Yet you have extra Orcuses and I don't see you being as giving.

Foe the record only 4 came into my possession, and 1 went out of my possession as I gave it to my best friend Malcolm for a birthday gift. Not too mention he's poor cannot afford any D&D stuff, so over the years I've got him all 5 of the Icons produced by Wotc minis.

I think I'll go write about that in OpenOffice. Which I've used TWICE today already. ::Flips off Microsoft::

Thats sweet of you Jeremy....the Mephestopholies for Leafy....:)

Hey Jeremy, we have found that the kids do enjoy playing with teh mini's and it keeps them very busy for a long while, so if you do have extras, of like the warriors and all, they are wonderful play things for the kid. :)

Still very sleepy. I have decided that at my current age, I should not try pulling all nighters. Even without the alcohol I is draggin ass. :\

Well it's one of those types of minis and it's in the new ultra rare mini, if I see a second one I'm not going heartless about it. I'm only heartless with Urizen. I am now going to go take pictures of my Tiamat in various places and then put them on facebook and tag Urizen in them >:)

4th store now a bust. They decided to change the zoning as soon as they realized what kinda store we were. Sucks. :(
