Silver Crusade

I'm headed home. Later all.

Scarab Sages

Take it easy CH!

Scarab Sages

sigh

Lost my Will save vs Troll.

@ AZ

THERE ARE NO WILL SAVES IN FOURTH EDITION! Try it. :P

On another note...

Oh well, I am just waiting to see if I will get hit by Earl.

How is it looking down there in Myrtle Beach???

You should have been standing closer to me: you were outside my spell radius.

Scarab Sages

Alrighty folks, gotta go for now. Got a Town Watch Patrol to walk.

Probably the same reason many Shadowrun fans don't. It's hard to convince non-fans of its über-coolness. I can usually get fantasy gamers to play by using the line "Haven't you ever wanted to shoot a dragon with a bazooka?"

I know why I don't play much: the setting is AWESOME, but I need to take extra Dramamine for the dice pools.

Liberty's Edge

Time for the all-new MORON OF THE WEEK AWARDS!!

Third place: What do you mean, 'organism'?

Second place: Book rental center

First place: Rubbing alcohol on the rocks

Liberty's Edge

Also, watch out Sebastian. Cleverbot wants to nom on you.

Spoiler:
I'm sorry to hear that. I described how it *should* be. Sounds like academia is still behind industry. At least technical industries have realized the value of the specialist over the manager and allow higher salaries for tech people than the ones managing them, in good companies anyway. The push for the "upside down pyramid," with management serving its employees, came out of academia. How ironic that they have not implemented it themselves. That sucks!

Ah, you gotta do what I did. I find a block of mini six siders at GenCon a few years back (they came at 70+ in regular dice box).

So the dance studio is back in full swing. The doors are rattling on their hinges and my head is pounding. Grrrrr!

Somebody make me a grilled ham and cheese sandwich!

Scarab Sages

Methinks we've got a new sock puppet on the boards.

Awk?

Who is the "new Sock Puppet"?

The original is so good, it needs to be preceded by "The".

~sighs~ I eventually need to read the Bible.

If you do, don't begin with the King James. Beautiful in its prose of its time, but it's not an easy read if you want to enjoy it as a novel and/or a series of short stories.

It's really blown up without you. You should get back in there and show 'em how to swing.

It started moving too fast. With less time, I can't handle too many supergrowth threads. I'll try and pitch back in from time-to-time. Feel free to link any that you especially want me to riff off of, take on, note, or whatever.

Sharoth: better yet, move to DFW and sign up for one of my classes. :3

Teach an online class so we don't have to move. ;-)

Oh, so noooooooooooooooooow you're interested.

Dum dee dum.

Just sitting around smoking crack and mutilating myself with rusty steel wool.

Good times.

Me as well. Had my annual review today. Something like this -- "We haven't given you what you needed and we know that you are not ideally placed and that we've pretty much ignored you for the past two years, but we need more from you and so you're not getting a raise."

Nice.

I have grown very cynical of my former profession.

I trust everybody sees the connections between these problems and what Tarren Dei may have done or not done.

That's appropriate. He specializes in organizing and managing educational professionals, you focus on the subject and don't get bothered with the paperwork and politics. Everybody's happy.

Yes, but there are attacks vs Will Defense. That would mean that instead of rolling Will Saves, we'd be letting the trolls roll against us, and I don't know if I trust that.

I would need to make head way on the education front first. Obviously, I adore it when I am there, but there are some obstacles in my way. <sigh> And I let those obstacles wield too much power over me.

It takes a lot out of a joke when you have to thoroughly explain it. :(
