First full day with a functioning computer. Unfortunately, it's the first FULL day with a functioning computer- I work from 8:30 to 6:30 today. No fun. I leave a few hours early tomorrow, but that's not exactly going to help me today. Here's hoping my lunch break has some dancing girls or giant robots or a portal to Golarion or something...
Taig, I just left Charlotte a few days ago. If I could have, I would have altered my vacation plans- I know we haven't met or anything, but I know you could use the company or at least an extra pair of hands.
Bring her to MB next year, we won't tell her about your secret life as a gay dude magnet I promise.
~crosses fingers behind back.~But Freehold if you bring those gamer girls you know you can come too! ;)
Nothing would surprise her at this point. Even Dexter. :)

ACTUALLY....
One of these gamer girls has family in Georgia, and MB is a family vacation spot, I think. It MIGHT be possible to work something out, but it's an outside chance.
[EDIT}WOOT! Naked gamer girl event planning for TOP!
Sounds like a plan, Solnes would welcome nekkid playing..... that didn't come out right, never mind, yes it did.

I will have to come up with something for next year that warrents a return of Mr Bates. :D

I'm sure he gets offers like that all the time.

I had a dream that I visited my mom at the nursing home. I don't remember any of the details.
I also had a dream I was at my old job, and it was one of the most mundane dreams I've ever had. A friend of mine microwaved his lunch, sat at his desk, and told a coworker he could go home, since the guy was really sick.
Weird.
I have really mundane dreams all the time. One time I spent an entire dream looking for the spaghetti in a grocery store.
Sometimes my dreams are so boring they make me fall asleep.

I have no tits. I am a lean mean booby luvin' machine! Ok so I'm not quite as mean as I used to be, but you get the idea.

What is up with that? If dreams are a way for one's subconscious to process things, why the heck would it want to deal with something so trivial?

DOO EET!
GenCon's about the only Con I'll be getting to next year (unless I become more financially free), and we could blow out a couple of places with FAWLTy-ness.

Did I miss a memo? When did I regress back to kindergarten?
An email from HR:
Ice Cream Treats will be distributed by your manager today at 1:30.
Managers-Please pick-up the treats for your department in Administrative Services between 1:20-1:30.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm as likely to turn down free ice-cream as Sebastien being offered a sparkly unicorn horn. But this is just ... what's the word I'm looking for?

A wee bit condescending perhaps?

I'm gonna wrap up stuff at work. I'll post later from the pool.
Well, considering last week the iPad broke my fall right on the dock, and I ended up having to replace the device which cost way more than I wanted to spend, I don't want to repeat the experience.

I, for one, want my workplace to be as kindergarten-like as possible. I'm still waiting for naptime.

Dude, naptime is everytime if you train yourself right. I learned back in high school how to fall asleep with my eyes open. Just a matter of propping yourself up right so you don't faceplant on the keyboard. ;)

BT: Sorry about your furry pal. We have two pups who are still young adults. I still hate the idea that their lives are so short. It's gonna kill us when they go, especially the Sophie. I can't imagine life without her anymore.
Solnes: Did you ever get a diagnosis for your stomach troubles? What did they want you to do for it (besides Dr. Mairkurion's patented club soda and snake oil drink?)? I had a fun episode of upper back pain last night after dinner and am scared to eat something wrong.
Congratulations to the successful auditees and ice cream recipients, and dry thoughts for the floodies.
Taig: I've had dreams of work, especially during major projects, in which I got a bunch of my task list done. They've been so realistic that I go in that day and am surprised the work ISN'T done because I just freakin' did it! Then it has to be done over and I weep with despair.
We had a lady come in to the store and buy a magnetic travel game for her granddaughter, who had developed an affection for her iPad. Last week, the little tyke dropped the $1300 device and destroyed it. Grandma hopes the magnets will keep her preoccupied and away from its replacement. At least the dealer gave her a $200 credit toward the new one, which he didn't have to do.

Indeed. I suspect that's why the campaign guide lists for triple digit prices on Amazon and ebay.

I don't know if they actually sell at those prices, but that's what people have been asking anytime I searched for it.

To be clear, I am talking about the campaign book for Star Wars Saga RPG, not the walkthrough book for the video game.

She was diagnosed with an ulcer, the placed some dietary restrictions on her such as no soda, tomatoes, spicy foods, reduce starches, and greases. She is taking Prilosec OTC as well. :/
