...I hate doing backgrounds.

Recently I discovered a old drawing that I had scanned and cleaned up on my laptop that I had completely forgotten about.

So becoming re-interested in her, I have begun to color but I am one of those people that has the curse of drawing something in the blank void of nothingness.

I feel she deserves a better fate then that or whatever bread and butter background I would come up with.

So......any ideas on a background?

Centaur.

Oh. And excuse the watermark. I'm kind of nervous about putting artwork up on the internet, even unfinished ones.

I would go with a mushroom forest. Just seems to fit to me.

Wait. You drew that? How long ago?

I may have differences on the choice of coloring, but the drawing's pretty good.

@Moor-Huh. Mushrooms. Haven't considered that before. Might have to do some shroom research.

Urizen-Uh....*digs around for sketch* Not sure can't find original and the cleanup job erased original date/signature. But If I had to guess I wouldn't say more then 2 years ago.

I do understand the color job tastes but I was watching Fantasia while doing the original.

I understand the habit of placing the figure in a floating white void, it's one I have as well. Uri can attest to that, having seen some of my work while here on vacay. Whatever you decide to do with the background I'd love to see it.

I really like this picture and also the arresting non-traditional use of color for this type of subject.

Perhaps keep it non traditional. Shock us.

She could stand on the floor at dance club amidst a light show.

She could stand over a bunch of dead bikers in an Arizona Safeway parking lot.

She could stand inside a huge black oyster shell with a gothically twisted design, guard to a luminescent green pearl.

Oh I lied! I found the original in my 2008 sketch book! So 2008.

If you look at my other work all of it is like that. It's like pulling my teeth out designing a background.

Ok well....maybe not....I am starting to develop something in my mind from suggestions here.....create a story so to speak.

What is she doing?
Whats up with that bow?
Why is she there?
etc. etc.

I will make sure to up date ya'll when it's finished.

Thanks for the comments, feel free to keep posting until I update! May give me more ideas.=3

Your style, judging from this centaur, makes me think Elfquest meets anime meets an East LA tattoo shop. It's really cute but it also feels aggressive and youthful with its colorfully blatant street sense. Really nice.

Yea if you check out the rest of the album I do alot of the bright color pics with the heavy black out lining....(I think its cause I used to wear heavy black eye liner in high school and thats when I started developing as an artist).

Also.....I did design my own tattoo. =3

I think so.^^

Although my father complains about it when ever he has the chance.

Just it's size.

AAHA!

@dad-......its really not that big compared to most. =(

For what it's worth my daughter is training as a tattoo artist, and she has more ink than I do now, and she has made me a granddad twice. I wouldn't trade her for the world, but i thought I would put it out there for perspective. ;)

Woot!

:)

I will refrain from my standard response of Tattoos and women and rather just say I like the picture.

1. I didn't bring it up.

2. "Most" is irrelevant.

Ah I suppose you share Leafy's veiw on them then.

I have been told how er, unflattering tattoos look on women.
I am not offended.

I like some ink on a woman. It depends on what/where it is. Solnes has 3. Only one of which do I wish she hadn't gotten.

=3
My boyfriend is of the same mind. he doesnt care as long as its not on the face. XD

Mine.

Time to lavish her with a week of nightly back rubs then?

Gorgeous.

I am thankful my boyfriend does *not* really read the forms or else you might give him ideas. =P

That's not bad at all. Solnes has a fairy dragon about that size on each shoulder, those I like. She also has a fairy on her left leg, that one... not so much. My only one is the Paizo Golem on right shoulder.

I think I sent you the invite thinking I was logged on, the down side to my laptop being down. You should see when we post under each other here. :S

Haha, well if she wants to de-friend me I wont be insulted.

When visiting Leafy If I get on his laptop I always go to my account and see all those aliases, and go "Wait....I don't have that many aliases...."

I don't even need to take that one out of context. That writes itself; it sure does. :P

Be curious to see some current work. You may have a side hobby that could grab some dollars on the side. Your father would be very, very proud.

Must. Resist.

Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Safe! For now.
