No, D&D/Pathfinder has never allowed class changes the way you are asking. Once you have levels in a class, your character will always have them. You can add levels in other classes when you level up instead of increasing the level of your current class, though. Your only other choice would be to start a new level one character in the class you want if you really do not like the class of your current character.

When PFS converted from 3.5 to PFRPG, you were allowed to change everything but your name and faction; there was a guide put out concerning how to accomplish the conversion.
Since then, though, you are not allowed to change anything about your character once it has been set in stone; except through organic progression, of course.

tyvm everyone....I changed from bard to alchemist when the pathfinder converted from 3.5. The reason it was to a later released class AFTER the conversion is because my friends and i started to play year 0's right as year 1 got underway. So, I figured that since there was a rules change that one class change would be allowed like I was thinking. Thanks all.

Now, you do know that the conversion process was only done if you made your character with the D&D 3.5 rules, right? Even if you started playing your character with the season 0 scenarios, if you originally made your character with the PRPG rules, then there is nothing to convert and you do not change anything about your character just because you started playing season 1 scenarios.
