So, I work on lot of homebrew stuff. And I troll these forums and get plenty of good ideas: luck points, house rules, rule clarifications, etc.
I figured that I could share some of my ideas and get some feedback.
I've put together a Priest base class. The idea of it is to have a divine full caster (meaning a class that relies on casting spells as their primary ability, as much as, say, a wizard or sorcerer).
Here it is:
Go to The Priest Class
I'm looking for comments, criticisms and suggestions on everything from grammar and typos to balance and playability. PEACH.
Thanks,

The 4 Skill points seems a little out of left field, since both clerics and full spellcasters of all types get 2.
Might want to change the flavor text of Deific Scorn to better match the name.
My group tends to ride high on the power curve, nor did I get to test-play the Witch, so I might not be the best judge of game balance... but I don't know if the Prayers make up for the loss of the spontaneous curing. Ramping up the Channel Energy "damage" might be a good idea. From my experience playing, the Cleric spell list doesn't have the same versatility as the Sorc/Wiz, so another spell slot may not be game-breaking for someone relying almost entirely on them and single-target standard-action debuff effects to support the party.

The skill points were suppose to represent a more studious type than the armor wearing cleric, but I see your point.
Yeah, I got lazy on Deific Scorn...
Domain spells will dramatically affect how a priest is played. Unlike a cleric, a priest with the fire domain can mem fireballs all day.
I dropped spontaneous curing to make the healing touch prayer more appealing.
I feel that the cleric spell list has plenty of options for control, debuffing, buffing, etc. I think it only lacks high damage output. Domains can accomplish this if chosen wisely (assuming that's how the player wants to run the character).
Still... good points for me to mull over.
Thank you for your input. It's greatly appreciated.
