We're getting together regularly to play Pathfinder Society Open Play sessions in the northern and western suburbs of Denver (from Lakewood to Boulder). Setting is either at VALHALLAS in Wheatridge or The Book Alley in Lakewood.
If you live locally and are interested in Playing and/or GMing, please post here in support and join the scheduling discussion group at:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/lakewoodpath
If you live in CO Springs or the southern suburbs, there are game schedulings more local to you at:

Jay,
Why would you want to split the community? There is no need to have 2 different groups for the Denver/CoS community? I don't see the advantage of having 2 groups as most people are willing to travel to any PFS event.JP

Jay, Why would you want to split the community? There is no need to have 2 different groups for the Denver/CoS community? I don't see the advantage of having 2 groups as most people are willing to travel to any PFS event. JP
JP, I like the guys from the distant 'Springs, Aurora, and Highlands Ranch, but I'm really keen on developing a "local" pathfinder community in the north (which remains 100% unserved). We've lost our gaming community on the north and west side (including Boulder).
Secondly, although I don't intend to split the greater metro area community, we need room at the local events for local players. Filling a table isn't a problem. Growing new local players in my area is the problem.
Never fear. It will all turn out ok as long as we're growing the new player base and cultivating new GM's. I'd like to see more GM's be available at the next convention for games as well.
Thanks,
Jay

This all sounds very nice, but what will happen? Organizers will have to post to two mailings, creating useless spam.
Unless by "local" you mean "me and my close group of friends", I think you are duplicating efforts Dave, Dustin, Jeff & I have been doing to grow the Society's availability in and around the Front Range.
Creating a larger community leads to more play opportunity, creating smaller groups result in less.
While I doubt I would travel up to Valhalla's for a weeknight, I might for a weekend. Also, there are many in the Metro area, not in Longmont/Boulder who might attend your events.
Again, I see no point in what you are doing, except split the player base. One group is MORE than enough.
