Sorry, Swiv... I'm feeling a tad brain dead at the moment. At least I had your posts to remind me of what happened last lol
If anything that is the reason to read it. I thought that posting something for yourself would help that process along, but it's alright if it doesn't. I'm here, too.
Last time we fought what was something like 11 dragons or so in a staggered combat with a couple of battlefields. Up ahead is the citadel of the weeping dragons and the hunters of Tiamat's children. How we proceed from here is up to you guys.
| Hazard Stormwalker |
If you had a kingdom for your own, how would you rule? Would you change much, or follow the old guard? Would you work hard to make a good life for your people, or would you make your subjects make a life for you? These are questions I haven't given much thought to, mostly because I never needed to, though that will change in the near future.
I'm not the only one to see this as a bit out of place. I've always been a half-breed, with no real home. Wandering suited me fine. Now it seems I have a place among the Bandit Kings not too long from now.
We, as companions, have placed on our shoulders the weight of the world as we dare to save it. As our struggle goes on, it shows us that the responsibility of our task left us stronger in character. Perhaps this is what the old man Achaime sees in me, aside from his blood.
The dragons of Dragotha have lost this day, to the Curse and the giants of Kongen-Thulnir. The citadel was in good hands as well. It will be interesting to meet the great defenders themselves.

So we proceeded rather quickly through the citadel and negotiated our way into the right direction to the vault, where we found Alastor Land one last time. Inside only lie the phylactery, which was promptly dispelled and smashed to bits on the spot. From there we traveled invisibly, flying through the air into the canyon below sea level (avoiding the eyes of several villains in the process). We encountered the exiled Lillend, her lich want-to-be lover (gross), his experiments and Balakarde, but not before locating the fragments of his spirit in a few items of interest, one of which inside a great cave marked by large cracks in the earth (and there was much mockery of my drawings, deservedly so). After facing some traps and centipedes and such in the cave (which no man has ever entered. ahee hee hee hee! /python), we fly to the innermost, and most dangerous part, of the wormcrawl fissure, Dragotha's Lair.

This session ended with us just stepping into the massive natural castle known as the tabernacle of worms, greeted by many priests of Kyuss. The battle outside of the ToW killed Arathana via overworm. She also lost quite a bit of her equipment in the process (no worries, you'll get a lot of treasure that you can use pretty soon). Infiltration has pretty much gone out the window now, so it's all out war in the ToW next time.

Okay so our little experiment proved useful and all but Hazard faced an encounter by him/herself for the most part. We proved that even on our own we could hold up versus some tough fights but we all could use some help from time to time (in unanus's case, just to speed things up).
Up next is the main event we've been waiting for quite a while for: Dragotha. Don't think for a second that this will be easy; if it turns out that it is, I will have failed. I'm not at all interested in that.

Okay, this post is for the last two sessions we had. Things are still pretty exciting, we had defeated Dragotha after some initial struggling and maneuvering. After that we headed towards Magepoint to meet with Manzorian and discuss the endgame scenario. One night's rest, and we head to Alhaster to save the capital from utter destruction, and prevent the final phase of Kyuss' apotheosis. In short, we are on our way to save the world.
We had faced a new foe out here that seems to be covering the land in a sickening, concealing fog, giving the undead free reign in these areas as none are able to stand up to these monsters but us. I believe a few more surprises await us before the game is done.
We had come across a situation involving the citizens looking for refuge. There were conflicting measures taken for the citizens' safety. Just as we were making ground on fixing the matter, some knights of Kyuss had gotten too bold and starting attacking citizens on the soil of the churches of other gods. Taking fast measures we saved most of the people from a grisly fate.
We should find a way to commemorate our first complete 1-20 (well 21, really) game. We're actually going to make it. I know I'm going to post Hazard's final stats as a start, but I think maybe something more celebratory is in order. Let me know if you think of anything.

So we find the complex housing the unlife vortex under Lashonna's mansion. Moving along through this place, we face multiple ghosts and liches, and finally a pit fiend. Destroying the machine that was maintaining the portal, we set our sights on saving the rest of Alhaster, acquiring the help of some Blessed Angels to take out the remaining Broodfiends and protecting the churches as they were the citizens' sanctuaries. We found the Deluxury under attack before we broke to do it next session, and here we will make one more daring rescue before the only obstacle left in our way is a massive monolith.
| Arathana |
That slimy bastard just had to do it, didn't he?!? Took my damned head off in the final battle just micro seconds before he was finally bested!! At least the clerics could bring me back to bask in the glory of our triumph. But Rendul as the new ruler of the area? I guess it's a step to the better.....

Well we had a fun game.
Rendul is the new King at Alhaster, Hazard is the new King at Kongen-Thulnir, Arathana, as master of all battle, has her own militia at her command, and Unanus follows his destiny as an eternal being wills it, going to where his past and future collide.
It was an epic time I had with this group, and this game. Many thanks to Paizo, and my players for making this the most fun "job" I've ever had.
