One of the half-orc women at the Nomarch's side looks over Samant appraisingly, then leans behind Iates to whisper something to the other half-orc, who lets out a surprisingly delicate giggle through her small tusks.

Sir Iates, Zeldin interrupts,I know I am as eager to see this fight as you are, but sending my compatriot bruised to pursue this task puts us at an immediate disadvantage.
So far as letting us go... We are asking only for the key. We are willing to perform a valuable service, and have not asked for recompense. It will only serve to show your resourcefulness if we are allowed to perform this feat with no cost to the taxpayer.

"Nonsense!" Iates says brashly to Zeldin, "surely healthy Pathfinders such as yourselves won't take long to recover."
As Samant lowers himself into the pit, Ulvalga moves away from the wall of the pit and readies herself to meet her latest challenger. She still carries a few bruises from her fight against the dwarf, who has now been lifted out of the pit and is having his wounds tended, but she seems unconcerned by them.
Iates looks between the combatants to confirm they are prepared, then turns the hourglass, "Begin!"

Samant rushes forward and catches Ulvalga hard on the jaw before she has chance to react, raising a surprised gasp from many in the crowd as she reels back. The muscular woman doesn't fall so easily though, and launches a punch of her own, but fails to land the blow in her disoriented state.

Samant's fist narrowly misses the half-orc's head, and she takes advantage of his unbalanced position by bringing her hand up against his arm, then forces her elbow forwards into his chest, but he manages to step back with her second blow, absorbing its impact safely.

Samant will strike defensively this attack.
Zeldin sighs in a slightly exaggerated manner. I am still not seeing what this fight has to do with an exploration of the tower. This is entertaining but in the end, if he is badly hurt then we have no deal. You will have to figure this tower out yourself and the people of this quarter will know that you passed a free opportunity to handle this and instead chose one that will expend their tax money.

Ulvalga easily sidesteps Samant's cautious attack, responding with a pair of blows aimed at his now exposed flank, , but only connects with a single fist.

"oh very well," the Nomarch grumbles, "I can hardly end the fight now that it has begun, but I see the advantages in having your companion in full health if he is to enter the keep... I'll have my healers take good care of him after he's finished."
Much appreciated. It does occur to me that we are going to tackle this tower as a team, so perhaps I should jump in and give my compatriot a hand.
Zeldin's serious tone has gone, replaced with a more teasing one. He begins to take off his gear as if he were to enter the pit.
Tossing his gear to the side, and grinning widely, Zeldin climbs into the ring.
Samant will back up and cover up (read Total Defense) for a round as to catch his breath.
Garion knocks on the door of Nik's chamber, Nik, wake up, it's time to get going.
NIK springs out of bed, gets dressed quickly
"I'll be there in a moment!"
Of course Garion better be a litle patient cuz even quickly a girl DOES need to look good! giggle

Can you think of anything we might need if we enter the keep via the sewers, Nik? I have rope and Desna can give us light. Can you think of anything else?
"I don't think the sewers is the way to get in. I think Lady Anita was wise enough not to have any dangerous connections between the sewers and her place. I think we should go in through the main door using this potion Great Desna was gracious enough to put in her humble dancer's hands!"

"Had enough, little boy?" Ulvalga teases through a tusky grin as Samant eases his assault, following up her words by sweeping her legs around to trip him, , but thanks to his defensive posture he keeps his feet.
Zeldin climbs down into the pit and makes his way across towards the fray.

"That would be easiest, but I wanted to make sure we were ready for anything. Shall we go to the tavern and wait for Samant and Zeldin?:
"Good idea! Let's go! ... the only thing I can think of would be like tools to break through stuff if we cant do it subtle-like ... like maybe a crowbar, big hammers, that kinda stuff ..."

Samant's desperate blow lashes out, but Ulvalga moves to intercept his arm, , but she fails to prevent his blow from landing.

Ulvalga senses victory is imminent and sends an open handed punch towards Samant, her attention entirely focused on him as Zeldin moves behind her, . Zeldin wraps his arms around her just as she leans into her blow, his interference enough to throw off her aim, but he is unable to hold on for any longer.
