NIK bursts in, making a bit too much noise for a library cuz she s so excited! When she finds Zeldin and Samant:
"Guys! Guys! Desna DID bless our task! You know that potion? well it will make me into a magic cloud and I will be able to pass thru the door like a ghost and open it from the inside! Isnt it just soooo AWESOME AMAZING?" giggle
"But just in case opening the door from inside doesnt work I wanna take a rope with me to tie it inside so you guys can come in through one of those small windows we saw"

Samant Blath'tan |

Excellent Nik. Samant will try to get her to calm... and quiet a bit... before the libraian gets aggrivated. We're still searching for the sewer maps through all of this fun. Let us continue our search here so we can continue to have contigencies. After that we can approach the council, if they say yes then I'm sure that potion of your will come in handy sometime in the future. Sometimes the gods don't give us the keys to the lock we see now, but for the ones ahead of us.
Can't access them at work will take a look at home and post on the maps later this evening
The window's aren't on hte keep itself. Is that what I'm understanding?

Nik aka Nicephora |

I m off to the Gym I ll try and post later if things are rockin n rolling! giggle ... NIK is ready 2 go but is willing 2 wait 4 night ... but NO talking with the council please now we have a way in! ... oh and NIK will ask 4 the guys to get a rope or get one herself if need be!

Once Nik and Garion leaves... after we've found the sewer map, but before examining it.
Zeldin, I think we should still go to the council, but I'm willing to go it alone if you agree with Nik. I put all my eggs in the basket last night, and didn't like how that worked out. We're smart enough to have multiple layers of flexible plan, rather than one static one. My knowledge of magic is limited, but I'm sure there are several scenarios where something could go wrong. I for one refuse to act in haste since it's not needed on this mission.

I didn't have time last night to look at the sewer maps, Calix. I'm fixing up a house, and last night was bathroom demo, and the bath tub took 2 hours to get out. Then ripping up the lfoor was an even bigger pain. By the time I made it home it was sleepy time.
Did it seem like there was a sewer entrance that could possibly lead into the Lady's house?

Samant Blath'tan |

Thanks Garion
After pouring over the maps with Zeldin. about an hour
It looks like the sewers can get us into the walls but not into the complex proper. Unless there's an inconsistancy in the map, but that would take more time and exploration.
Rolling up the maps and placeing them back where they belong.
To Zeldin:Shall we go discuss things with the council then?

Zeldin Tarr |

To Samant: I totally agree, I think having as many options open to us as is possible can only help. Plus, if we work this right, having the council on our side in the future could be a really good thing. Lets get a bite and then head over to the council.
One final thought... While we are here, what are the chances of finding plans for the actual keep itself?
I am at work and cannot read the maps, but earlier when I saw them, it looked like there was an entrance right under the keep... Did I msread that detail?

We can discuss this while walking to that district's council chamber.
I'm open to either one of us speaking, we're both capable. I'm looking at the pitch like this. We know the council had sent some people in after the lease expired, they never returned. This is why they've closed it off. They want to get that property available for re-lease I'm sure, but they can't afford to send in any other of their people. Since she was a pathfinder member we're interested in figuring this out as well. So if they will let us we can clear the house of any hazards, clear it of her belongings so when she returns she can claim them, and leave the house for them to do with as they will. They have nothing to lose by saying yes, and everything to gain. Any thoughts on what else we might be able to add?

Both Samant and Zeldin are aware that while the provincial council meets only once a week to discuss business, minor concerns can be brought to the council offices, near the centre of the district. Less-mundane things however, would need to be brought before a council meeting, or presented directly to the Nomarch. Neither of you is quite sure of the identity of the Nomarch, being quite cloistered within the Grand Lodge, and not having spent much time in the city before joining the Society, but it should be a simple matter to ask around.

A dozen please. I've been there just didn't realize the who the owner was. Give her a gold for a dozen and another gold for the info.
Break out my knife and shuck some oysters with Zeldin on the way to the Inn where it all began.
I really need to not post when I'm hungry... lol

Reaching the Crimson Coin in the early afternoon, Samant and Zeldin find it to be bustling with activity. A large crowd is formed around the central pit Samant saw on his first visit, with bets being taken by members of the staff. Up on a high seat, providing a clear view of the pit despite the crowd, sits a massively corpulent man feasting on a plate of meat and flanked by a pair of half-orc women in low cut dresses.

Watching the fight in the pit, Samant and Zeldin can see, through the occasional gap in the crowd, a dwarven man stripped to the waist and wrestling with another half-orc woman, this one dressed in simple cloth bound tightly so as to allow easy movement. A small hourglass on a table near the huge man's seat runs down, nearly half empty as the woman grabs the dwarf's head in one hand and viciously slams it against the side of the pit, splattering fresh blood onto the old stains, and sending a handful of teeth falling to the ground as her opponent slumps limply after them.
"Another challenger fails to last even a single minute against our house champion!" announces the man who the pair have guessed to be Iates, "can anyone withstand the assault of the mighty Ulvalga? Just a single gold coin to test yourself, last until the sand runs out and double your money!"

Samant Blath'tan |

Samant takes a deep breath, I'll make this brief. We understand you've had issues clearing out the previous tenant, and we would like to offer our services to handle this for you. No risk to you or your men, and at worse you'll have some missing Pathfinders, at best you'll be able to make some money off the property again versus it sitting vacant.

Iates frowns and spends a few minutes chewing on the thought, and some more chicken, before looking down at Samant again, "that does sound tempting," he concedes, "but it wouldn't look good if I just sent you in there to be slaughtered by her guardians..."
A sudden glint appears in his eyes, giving his otherwise flabby face a sharp edge, "how do I know you can handle yourselves?"
