When I was training I learned about something like this... I think Zey called it an Arcane Lock, but for the life of me I am not sure what he said to do about it... I know I do not have any magic that would help.

I am assuming we have moved a good distance away from the keep at this point.

I like the idea of the sewers and I am okay with talking to the council if Nik does not want to. To alleviate Garion's concern, I could go alone and present the case for the group.

To Garion: We attempted to strike tonight, only to be rebuffed by a magical lock. We can always try the sewers tomorrow evening, even if the council watches the house I doubt they'll watch the sewers.

The wall that they are on top of is about 20 feet tall, so even with his boost you'll need to climb about 10 more feet before reaching the edge. You can try, but there aren't many foot-holds.

I assume that you'd be waiting for the patrol to pass before going back?

One parting idea... I wonder if anyone back at the lodge would be able to help us with an arcane lock, assuming that is what we faced.

Is approaching the council in the afternoon an option? This will give Samant some research time, unless he prefers we do this first.

NIK is FOR Zeldin asking around some more, Samant doing his research and the city council meeting in the afternoon (NIK wuldnt go to that). NIK still remnds the guys she is not for going to the council even if she will go along with the decision if the guys wanna do that.

The night passes. In the morning, the group slowly make their way to the Linnorm's Scales, only to find that the tavern is yet to open, the door closed tight, and the room beyond the windows lifeless except for a single maid sweeping the floors.
