The stone remains stubbornly in its fixings as Zeldin struggles with it, but he thinks he knows what the metal is. The claws appear to be laced with adamantine.
Assuming someone does help Nik up to reach the stone in the door: Nik tries to pry the stone out of its socket, but can't quite get enough leverage.

NIK will give the area where we are a carefull look around: any obvious way out of here?

Do the stones in the gate and bot look like Ioun Stones?
Samant helps boost Nik. After that doesn't work he goes an sees what Zeldin has found.

Calix, what time of day is it?
Now that you mention it, they are roughly the right size to be ioun stones.
It's about an hour before sunset.

My one concern, still prying the stone out 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17, Is the creature Zeldin saw in the sewers.

"Good point Samant! But are you in any shape to continue?"
Male Human Barbarian 1 (favoured)
I'm in good enough shape to sit here and guard a courtyard all night. Samant hands the Ioun stone to Zeldin.
Did we see if they have any equipment we can appropriate

Samant almost pries the stone out of its fixing, but the metal framing does not break. It's a DC20 Strength or Disable Device check, so I'll let you go ahead and take 20.
Other than the claws and stone that Zeldin has already noticed, the golem seems to be fairly uninteresting, the body is that of a tall, armoured man, the face concealed by a helmet and the arms ending in the vicious claws Samant is so familiar with.
do you want to take 20 searching the courtyard? Or do you want to roll?
Garion isn't quite sure how long the bodies have been there, but it is probably at least a week. The unarmored men are each carrying an official writ ordering the evacuation of the premises, along with badges of office proclaiming them to be officers of the council. They are both carrying a handful of coins, and wearing a few pieces of jewelry. The man wearing the ruined leather armour carries no writ, but the remains of his uniform imply he is a member of the watch. His short sword is lying at his side, indicating he died fighting, and a buckler is strapped to his left arm.

Sorry, thought I saw DC 15 somewhere. Samant will take 20 getting it out. Working it out with his dagger.
Male Half-Elf Cleric 5 HP: 50/50
Garion says a prayer to Desna for their souls, takes the badges and writs to return to the council, the jewelry to return to the families and the coins to help the party. "There is a short sword and a buckler here if anyone needs such items."
The stone pops from its socket as the metal holding it in breaks.
The coins that Garion recover are worth 5gp and 4sp.

Samant will hand the stone over to Zeldin, and then go try the key back on the door.
Is there any value in the admantine? Zeldin will take 20 to search the courtyard.
Knowledge (Arcana)1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 to give additional info on the stone Samant pried free.
Adamantine is a very valuable material, even while embedded into the claws it might fetch a good price. Amongst the rubble of the courtyard lay the battered remains of three other statues similar to the one you fought against, their metallic frames battered and torn. One has claws similar to the first you encountered, and the other two have arms ending in great fists of steel.
The rest of the debris is too damaged to be recognised.
As Samant turns the key, the outer doors unlock.
Zeldin sets to work at removing the scrap adamantine, or the pieces that have it embedded.
I am okay with going forward or waiting, though I see little value in resting here when warm safe beds are within easy walking distance. Me thinks we will all sleep better if no one has to play sentry. That said, I am okay with going forward as well.

I will go with however you vote, but I'm still concenred with the thing you saw lurking in the sewers. There's also the question of what destroyed those other guardians...
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
"Garion can I have that sword and buckler? Might be useful to have something more ... BIG ... and some protection wuldnt hurt! ... and about the coins u found: do we share? ... stay or go on, u guys decide I m ok with whatever!"
Adressing Samant, I had assumed the other guardians were destroyed by the officials sent here... Maybe I misguessed. I am worried about the lurker as well. Me thinks there may be 2 levels here... The guards of the lady and then something that bleeds a bit more that might have something to do with her disappearance, or at least has seized this place as a well guarded place for the time being.
The priest of pleasure, guards the coins, and the only objections are raised by the nimble fingered rogue. Zeldin says to the other 2 jokingly.
Male Human Barbarian 1 (favoured)
Do the others have Ioun stones as well? One guard, two officials... they sent two groups, but we never knew the size of the groups sent. Samant will look at the bodies of the other IGs, do they have wounds consistant with a shortsword?

They do have stones in their foreheads, to work out what sort of weapon caused the damage will require a Knowledge(Arcana), Craft(Metallurgy) or a higher DC perception check.
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
"Samant you are starting 2 be a REAL CHARMER!" giggle "Anything I can do to help in figuring things out?"
NIK will investigate the courtyard in GREAT detail just in case we need to rest here

Samant blushes again, but quickly recovers. I can't make out the details of what damaged these, but there are more Ioun stones, and if I recall correctly they will help our wayfinders
Calix how exactaly do the Wayfinders work? I don't think I have access to the book they're detailed in at work, I may not even have it lol
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
NIK finds that piece of news super exciting!
She takes out her rosy flowery Wayfinder and sees if one of those ion stones can fit inside
by the way guys I have NO IDEA wat those ion stone things are and I have a really hard time 2 imagine wat we are talking about exactli! is this one of those things u have 2 have played before 2 get?

Ioun Stones
That gives there none Wayfinder usage. They're basically magic gemstones that float around your head and give some effect.
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
ThanX Samant! so they re like basically lil gem moons that gravitate around us and gives us magical powers? so wat do they have 2 do with the wayfinders? and can u have more then one stone at a time?
Female Human (from the North- Ulfen) Rogue 2
CALIX from the map it looked like there was a door inside the courtyard (F3). Did I see it right?
If its a door NIK will check it out carefully (traps and locks and anythin hidden)

Help yourself, Nik, I agree, a little more protection is always in order. As for the coins,of course we split them evenly. Let's see," Garion thinks for a minute, "It comes out to 13 silver and 5 copper each. Our first treasure."
Male Half-Elf Cleric 5 HP: 50/50
So, everybody's willing to do whatever somebody else decides to do, huh? :) Ok, after we collect the stones (How many do we get, Calix?) we'll check the front door for traps and see if we can get inside. Sound good?

There were four guardians so we would each have one IIRC
Male Human Barbarian 1 (favoured)
Samant is going to pull out his Wayfinder and insert the Ioun stone.
Maybe this will help.
1d100 ⇒ 12
1d100 ⇒ 48
There is a stone in each of the golems' foreheads, along with one above the outer door. When Nik places one into her Wayfinder, it gives a small flash, indicating something has happened, though it is not immediately apparent what exactly that is. Samant's Wayfinder, however, does not react.
The doorway into the tower is heavily damaged, the doors hanging from their hinges. Nik can roll a perception check for traps if she wants.
