Man those Paladins would be on the tracks to losing their powers mighty quick if that was in my game.

The problem is, that in "Start Of Darkness"* it states that the Gods created the humanoid monster races (the Goblins, Orcs, Ogres, etc) for no other purpose then to provide needed experience for low level adventurers.
So in that setting, is not at all clear that those Paladins would be in any danger of losing their powers at all.

I think the two are fighters. If I remember it right, Thanh (the older guy with mustache) is the only surviving Paladin - and they just decided not to burden him with the tiny details :-)

One is a fighter and one is a rogue. But yes, if they were Paladins, they would be in deep trouble in my game too. IMHO the elves are also on the fast track to at least a CN alignment.

Clockwork pickle |

just in case anyone was interested in more insight into his take on paladins (or druids for that matter).
Rich Burlew take on roleplaying it is fairly lengthy, so the relevant section is "decide to act differently" if you want to skip a bit.
the OOTs story line about the paladin/monk is also pretty telling on that front.
