Where do you hail from? Just trying to keep mental notes of where people are in case I'm ever in the area. I've had lunch with Sebastian a few times and that's always fun. And a couple of posters are from here (Colorado Springs) that I've met up with -- like Bitter Thorn. Putting real faces to fake names is (usually) fun for me.
I enjoy getting to know the folks from the boards as well. Or at least as well as I can on FB and E-Mail. I have a hard time remembering who's who though. :S
At 34 I enjoy the fact that there are plenty of folks here who are wiser than I..... of course, that could mean a 6 year old some days.

Moorluck and I am in Myrtle Beach SC. And 40 is hardly old. ;)

I'm sawwwy.
:(
I just don't like people insinuating (bluntly or attempting to do so in a subtle manner) that I am an idiot. Things like that set me off.
:(
Well you've seen how well I handle it. ;)
You and I are good, I've never seen you get rude unless provoked first, I would never count you as a troll.

Here's a trick that might help; you know you're not. If someone does/says something that would upset you, try to let it roll off your back. If for some reason you need to defend your honor, do it with class, but don't insult the person in the process. This isn't always possible (we're all human beings and entitled to our faults) but the reward is showing those around you that you won't be bullied, if even if they press it, you show them that they are the idiots.

TAD, I respect your stance. I prefer, however, to collect their teeth in a jar. ;)

Personally, I find it very bad taste for people to be younger than me. Unless they are women. But all men should be older. Spread the word for people to start drowning those puppies.
Don't wanna be the old man in the room eh? But you know, some of us womens like the old man in the room.
So how's your day Professor? ;)

Pretty good. Enjoying life more now that I don't have OH MY GOD I MUST FINISH MY DISSERTATION IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE LAST MONTH hanging over my head.
Also, liked my daughter's boyfriend. Might be okay if she married a gamer...but let's not rush things.
I have one more week and three papers left to finish out this class. I am trying to decide whether to continue with my current schedule (1 class every 5 weeks) or if I want to double up and finish early.
I am glad you liked your daughters boyfriend. I hope both my kids find gamer types, when they are much older. We seem to be more.....well, fun. :D

I am sorry that I did not respond to your suggestion sooner, TAD. I appreciate the authentic offer of advice.
My problem is that I WILL often be so lenient (sp?) as to let myself be walked all over. Until I realize I am allowing it... Basically, I bounce from one extreme to the other of allowing myself to be walked over or willing to act in a fashion similarly to Moorluck with the few things that truly anger me.
Basically, once I reach the point of not being willing to put up with something (fuse length varies with whichever thing it is that is drawing my ire...), I care nothing for honor or class. If someone calls me an idiot to my face, my fist is going into his mouth through his teeth. If said person is not ready to defend himself, it is his fault. He should have been if he spoke to me that way. Some people I might not want to get in a fight with and that is what a gun is for. Just kidding on the last part. My rule for carrying a gun is that you walk away when you can and do not even bother responding to verbal assaults that do not contain physical threats.

Joking? Suuuuuuuure.

I know. Believe me, if you had feelings of ire for me, I'd like to think I'd be aware of it and try to rectify the situation.
Edit: spelling error (lie --> like)

<stuff>
We live in a civilized society where violence is touted as a bad response to emotional distress, so take it as you will. I understand and respect that people have rheir own opinions on various subject matter. Anyway, it's just an exercise worth considering.

The remake looks like it actually might be worth watching. Besides, I like Jackie Chan.

Ditto. The movie is Will Smith's excuse to break his son into the acting business. My respect for Will isn't what it used to be because of this.

~shrugs~ I just plan on having some mindless entertainment. Jackie does a good job at that. Besides, he does do some good fight movies.

Don't worry, Sharoth. Your judgment in this matter will do nothing to lessen my respect for you.
