Taking things slow n steady. It's kinda frustrating how slow my brain works these days, but hopefully this problem will teach me to pace myself and my mind better. Off work 'til at least the 24th so that's good too. :)
Well you take it easy, things will getback to norm soon enough. You had us scared there for a bit.

Scared everyone, including myself. These things are usually the fault of a injury. This popped up out of nowhere.

At least I found out I've got a strong ticker, though maybe a bit of sleep apnia (sp?).

Have they figured out why?? Thank goodness for that strong ticker.

Do you have a little Irish in you?

Would you like some?

Gnight folks!

Now I am out. E7, will look for answer in the morn. :D

Nope. I'm in that 10-15% that heals itself before they find a cause. I'm OK with that, as long as the chance for a repeat is low.

Of course they didn't like my cholesterol numbers, so the Endocrinologist wants to follow up with me too. *sigh*

Pea-CAN, I hear pea-KAHN alot.... we got too many damn transplants here. :/

I'm surprised you never choked the shyt outta them.

They say Pea-can in New Jersey. Tell ya what, son, let's have the state that supplies most of the pecans name it. PEH KAWN.

Yep, but it is satisfying when the nurses and docs find out you're not on a bunch of meds. Makes a bunch of stuff a lot easier. Of course the low tolerance for meds makes for other probs. Like the stuff they gave me for vasospasms making me hurl.

Did you ever figure out which one were the head nurses?

Spoiler:
dirty knees.

And my Tues night gaming group is pushing for me to run for them. But handling 9 players is too much for me to handle right now. Still, it's good to be liked as a GM.

OK, so I do have a double garage outside, but I'm never out there and do all my stuff inside, so the most I'm allowed in here is my desk (which is pretty much all computers) and part of a hutch. :/

BBQ here is sausages, steaks and onions (amongst other things) done on the Barbeque. hmmm... sounds like last night's dinner!

Yeah I also gave some advice about stating your intended end point when you have a map, since without a visual representation sitting in front of you it can be hard to keep track of where everyone is if you just write "I attack that guy".

Why is it when the good lord is feeling randy, yet he's run out of astroglide, the first ass he sees is mine? Seriously, I must have some type of invisible sign on the top of my head informing any and all deities of the aphrodisiacal properties of my tears. It's only 9:04 and yet...

  • The bike that I spent 45 dollars getting fixed this weekend got a flat in the same tire that was flat when I brought it to the repair shop. And to think, I brought those guys candy to thank them for fixing my bike post haste on such a miserable day. Did I mention this happened when I was halfway to work? And that while I was folding up my bike, the bus that I finally caught up with decided to take off into traffic despite the fact that I was pounding frantically on the door? I finally caught another bus which wasn't too long behind that one, and I get off at the stop to transfer for another bus that will take me right in front of my job, shaving precious minutes off my trip. I wait, and wait, and wait, looking down the street all the while to make sure no buses are inching their way down the street. No bus. I decide to take the 5 minute walk to my job, dragging my bike behind me, and just when I'm across the street and too far away to walk back to the stop, not one, not two, but THREE buses uncloak(using technology that is in CLEAR violation of both the Metropolitian Transportation Agency AND The United Federation of Planets) and drive down the street at an impressive clip. I make it to work only 13 minutes late, but my boss wonders why I didn't let him know I was late. I told him that I had called my immediate supervisor and informed her, in accordance with what I thought was the rules regarding lateness; but he didn't want to hear that. He wanted to know why I didn't come directly to his office and tell him why I was late, as I had to pass his office on the way to mine and it would have only been polite. Green flaming fury coursed through me at that moment, and I would have unleashed the balefire on him if I could have, but I instead apologized and went to my office. Once there, I discovered that...
  • My USB has gone missing. I don't have stuff on it that isn't already backed up, but what is on it is of importance to me- early drafts of Freehold! The Saga of Wune stuff, my resume, and at least one movie that others would be embarrased to have in their possession. I can only hope it's in the house, but if I lost it outside, it was during the monsoon that we experienced over the weekend when I was picking up my bike and it is probably in Posideon's possession now. I'm agonizing over this, when...

There goes my appetite. I give her some tips on how to handle it so she doesn't have to go the emergency room like she did last time. She calls me back 5 minutes later with victorious news, and I give her a few more tips to avoid exhaustion and dehydration, but by that point in time breakfast is nothing more than a vague, nauseating idea. But it's good that I've lost my appetite because...

If I ever lost my USB hard drive, I'd be agonizing over it too. It's got Sarunia and my 3.X Tale of the Twin Suns on it (months upon months work).

And the hitting the back button, well it's worse when all you have to do is tighten your gip on the left side of your mouse by accident. I have learned to copy my posts in the off chance of losing it.

Sorry to hear about your day, Freehold. Here's something to make you feel a tiny bit better. Takeout breakfast in Dallas is about twice the cost it is in NYC. WHY? Almost everything in Dallas is cheaper except nail salons (this I know thanks to a wife who used to go in almost weekly and now maybe every other month) and takeout breakfast. Two things that are better and cheaper in NYC thank Big D.

Yeah, it accomplished nothing. But why did Woodsy have to die on his second blog pic? I mean what the hell? One day he's strolling through the woods, happy as an aberration offensive in the sight of God can be, the next he's a face down pin cushion. I was hoping for a string of Woodsy in life pics. Next up: unlife.

Repeat of a post in my update thread -

Scared myself a bit by reading up on my injury. Bullet dodged

Recovery looks intiminating but I have to keep myself from focusing on where I am today versus where I hope to be down the road.

Haven't gone stir crazy yet, but kinda bummed that I can't bring myself to pick up a book to pass the time. Also, I can't bring myself to jump back into a PbP. :(

I'm worried about long-term cognitive issues, as that's my bread n butter. A third dodge these issues and I'm determined to be in that 3rd. Still I'm better off than another 3rd of the people that get this problem. I just have to keep telling myself that what I'm experiencing is short-term. Can't exercise yet either, but I sure would like to continue the much needed weight loss/muscle gain.

Sure could use some BttH. ;)
