OK. Everyone else post your actions, then roll intiative. Make sure you roll Init after you state your action, I will roll it if you forget, to keep things moving.

GM Only:

Spoiler:

"Beauty" will attack the closest living thing. Initiative: 1d10 ⇒ 9
Landras will begin to weave the thread for Ethereal Darkness. 1d6 + 1d8 ⇒ (1) + (2) = 3 I:1d8 ⇒ 7

Garrett gives a sharp nod to Glotta Cha's cry to attack. He ducks in the cave and steps the side (to G6).

Init Roll=6

Nocking an arrow he levels it at the monstrosity and fires.

Ranged missle attack=6

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz advances toward the pool (K6) and throws a knife at the creature ("Beauty").

Dice Rolls:

Init: 1d12 ⇒ 5
To Hit: 2d8 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9 Explode: 1d6 ⇒ 6 More Explode: 1d6 ⇒ 2 Total: 17

That's a great damage roll, can I spend karma to make certain I hit, or is it too late for that? Not that I know exactly what I can spend Karma on...

Glottal Cha attacks the beast.
Init 1d12 ⇒ 3
Sword attack 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + (3) = 7
Kick attack 1d12 ⇒ 12
Sword damage 1d10 + 1d12 ⇒ (5) + (5) = 10
Kick damage 1d12 ⇒ 6

Unable to directly fight either foe, Solonchak prepares to either drag out and bandage a comrade, or jump in and try and deflect blows with his shield.

Move to somewhere like J4 - keep out of any missile user's line of fire, but close enough that a half move will get me in to help

Don't suppose Initiative really matters but it's 1d6 ⇒ 4

Edit: actually, what the heck, Solonchak will use what light is available to check the cavern roof. He's pretty good at Geology, maybe there's a handily placed stalactite that could be shot to drop on someone, or a fissure which might bring down a rockfall...

Knowledge:Geology check 1d12 ⇒ 9

Glottal Cha Cliffchaser wrote:

Init 1d12
Sword attack 1d8+1d6
Kick attack 1d12
Sword damage 1d10+1d12
Kick damage 1d12

That will have to be for next round, since all you could do on the first round is run. (it uses your standard action.)

Sytåz wrote:

** spoiler omitted **

Spoiler:

Thrown weapon isn't a discipline talent for you, I'm quite curious why you threw a dagger instead of shooting your bow. Missile Weapons is a Discipline talent for you, and can have karma spent on it. In fact, the dice you rolled for a thrown dagger were wrong, so you'll have to reroll either the dagger dice to 1d12, or roll damage dice on a longbow roll.

Groovy with that. I was jumping the gun... :]

Just so happens that Tartuk got Initiative, so Glottal you'll get your attack in.

Tartuk, aka Beauty, steps from the pool, leaving a trail of blood, he advances on the group of adepts, pure malevolence shows in his eyes. The troll begins gesturing, obviously beginning to cast a spell. Garret moves in, drawing his bow back and releasing an arrow, which the wily Tartuk avoids nimbly. Sytaz steps up and launches an arrow at the beast, striking it in the chest. Solonchak strides forward, looking toward the cavern ceiling. Fernswalder flits to the side of the cavern, waving his arms around, grasping at the air. Glottal Cha then advances forward confidently leveling a slice at Tartuk drawing a slice along his chest, and then kick him in the chest penetrating his defenses.

Sytaz I decided you probably would have actually shot your bow, I think you thought daggers were missile weapons not thrown weapons, since you rolled it as a missile weapon. (the karma roll pushed it over the threshold so it hit.)

Mechanics:

Spoiler:

roll 2d8 ⇒ (7, 4) = 11 bow dmg
explode Kick for Glottal: 1d12 ⇒ 8 =20 total (good result)
Damage inflicted:11 from Sytaz 16 from Glottal Cha.

Declare next actions

Glottal Cha moves to the side of the beast and attacks. If I can go all the way around it I will. I do know if there is 'facing' in the game but I am wanting to draw its attention to me.
Init 1d12 ⇒ 12
Sword attack 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (5) = 8
Kick attack 1d12 ⇒ 2
Sword damage 1d10 + 1d12 ⇒ (9) + (1) = 10
Kick damage 1d12 ⇒ 3

Init explode 1d12 ⇒ 4

Grimmacing, Garrett holds his position and fires another arrow at the beast. If he has to move to a different position to get a clean shot, he'll do so.

Using the Paizo Roller, if a roll explodes I'll put it in a follow up post like Glottal Cha did above

Init 1d10 ⇒ 2

Missile Attack (longbow) 1d12 ⇒ 7

Bow damage (if it hits) 2d8 ⇒ (5, 7) = 12

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz stands his ground and fires again.

Dice Rolls:

Oops, for some reason I was thinking I could use missile weapon with knives. Clearly I should have been using the bow the entire time. I just changed things up for variety.
Init: 1d12 ⇒ 3
To Hit: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

GM Actions:

Spoiler:
Tartuk will aggressively attack, and attempt a second attack on Glottal Cha. 2 attacks @ +1 action die, +3 to dmg, -3 to PD/SD
Axe2d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 1 = 5
Kick2d6 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5) + 1 = 9
Dmg (axe)2d10 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 3 = 10
Dmg (kick)1d6 + 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + (2) + 3 = 11
Initiative 1d12 ⇒ 4

Ladras will forgo the Etheral darkness and cast a spirit dart at Fernswalder.
Spellcasting 2d8 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
Effect 1d6 + 1d8 ⇒ (5) + (3) = 8
Initiative 1d8 ⇒ 8

Solochak:

Spoiler:
You locate several sizable stalactites, you think if you can hit one of them with something heavy, you can make them fall without collapsing the entire ceiling.

Fernswalder

Spoiler:
You see the troll staring with a malevolent grin at you possibly getting ready to cast at you. You're up.

I will puppet tomorrow night if actions aren't posted.

Well maybe Saturday morning, I'm going to see Bad Religion tomorrow night...

Male Windling Wizard first circle

Target the troll.

Init = 1d10 ⇒ 5

Thread weaving = 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

Fenswalder Twoflower wrote:

Init = 1d10

Don't forget you all started with Karma points, this BBEG battle would be a good time to use them. Getting frustrated with thread weaving you can also use certain spells that have no required threads.

Solonchak: Solonchak moves around, and sees a chance to drop a group of stalactites onto the Troll. He steps up and breaks off a chunk of a stalagmite and hurls it at the cavern ceiling above the troll.

Strength: 1d12 ⇒ 5
Dex: 1d6 ⇒ 4

The piece he manages to break off isn't quite sizeable enough to cause any damage though, and harmlessly bounces away. The Troll gives Solonchak a dubious glance, not quite seeing the danger in the action.

Glottal Cha gets in another strike against the foul creature, before it returns the attack. Glottal Cha's attack draws a wet line across the Construct's chest, a viscous black ichor oozes out.

The Beast formerly known as Tartuk attack with wild abandon, it swings an axeblade at the swordsman, but the move was broadcast so much an child could have avoided it, however, the kick from the horse leg caught Glottal by surprise, sending him reeling [make a TN11 knockdown check versus the kick. And take 11-Physical Armor dmg]. The untactical attack by the Beauty, allows both Garrett and Sytaz to track the location of it before it arrives, and two arrows bloom from their target's chest as well. It looks down at the arrows, arms falling limp, and collapses.

Meanwhile Fenswalder grapples with the magic of the area; perhaps it's the corruption in the cavern or the strain of casting in battle, but Fenswalder seems to be perspiring a bit. The shock of seeing his beast so easily defeated must have interrupted the fallen troll's concentration...

Glottal Cha surprised by the kick still tries to avoid being struck.
Avoid Blow 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + (5) = 13 plus Karma die 1d6 ⇒ 6

SWEEET!
plus Avoid explode 1d8 ⇒ 6
plus Karma explode 1d6 ⇒ 3

Total Avoid Blow: 28
Strain taken +1

If that didn't work... Knockdown test 1d12 ⇒ 7

A kick leveled at Glottal's chest misses due to the massive troll's surprising nimbleness...

M T'skrang Archer

Sytåz continues to fire arrows from his bow, turning his attention to the sorcerer.

dice rolls:

Init: 1d12 ⇒ 6
To Hit: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 8) = 16
I'm going to use another Karma to hit better: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

M T'skrang Archer

Didn't need the karma. Exploding tohit dice: 2d8 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10

Total to hit: 31

Glottal Cha moves to attack the troll spell caster.

Init 1d12 ⇒ 8
Sword attack 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (1) = 2
Sword damage 1d10 + 1d12 ⇒ (7) + (12) = 19

waiting on the other declarations.

"Impossible! That's just...NO!!!" The trolls seems flustered now "You promised me power!!!" he bellows.

GM Declaration:

Spoiler:
Ladras will spirit dart the nearest character. Initiative: 1d6 ⇒ 1 SpellCasting 1d6 + 1d8 ⇒ (5) + (4) = 9 Effect: 2d8 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7

Male Windling Wizard first circle

Init = 1d10 ⇒ 8

Casting mind dagger at the mage.

"Here's a little gift from my mind to yours you unclean bloodtainted freak."

spellcasting = 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7

Damage = 2d10 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4 /mystic

Waiting on our top 4 Watcher's actions[Gratz on making it that far.], and of course the rock'n Grufflehead. I'll PC Puppet tomorrow night if need be. Unless I'm too sick, I'm feeling pretty under the weather today...

Sorry folks, I'm struggling to see how to contribute here

Well you did take shield charge as a skill. That could be useful.

Male Human

I'm here agaain. Give me a few hours (like 1 or 2) and I'll post!

With a surprised look of relief when the abdomination falls, Garrett doesn't let up and starts to fire at the troll spellcaster.

Spoiler:

Init 1d10 ⇒ 10

Missile Attack (longbow) 1d12 ⇒ 8 plus karma die 1d6 ⇒ 2

Bow damage (if it hits) 2d8 ⇒ (7, 6) = 13

Init dice exploded

Init 1d10 ⇒ 5

will update later today, hectic for me today.

Solonchak you're cleared with your new character...engage....

Well just consider Solonchak to have an initiative of 1 this turn, and his action will come after the others, though I suspect and earth dart to be the spell cast.

Garrett quickly draws another arrow and lets it fly, it pierces the makeshift armor worn by Ladras as Fenswalder tears at the troll's mind. Glottal projects his attack too much in his haste and nearly stumbles as Ladras easily sidesteps the attack. Meanwhile, Sytaz puts an arrow deep into the troll's chest in an unarmored portion of the chest. Glottal feels a tear at his spirit as the troll makes a tearing motion across the air. (7 mystic dmg to Glottal)

Mechanics

Spoiler:

I15 Garret hits with an average result. 13 dmg vs armor 4. (9dmg)
I8 Fenswalder hits the troll with the mind dagger 4dmg vs 2 mystic armor (2dmg)
I8 Glottal misses.
I6 Sytaz gets an armor defeating hit. inflicting min step dmg 10.(dmg10)
I1 Ladras (harried) spell 9-2=7 vs 7 spell defense Glottal. dmg 7 21 dmg
I1 Solonchak

Solonchak had been observing the combat from a distance, preferring to hold in case he was called upon to aid one of his colleagues. Now it seemed obvious that it was a fight to the death with the foul necromancer, and the sooner he and his comrades defeated their opponent, the sooner they could return home with the rescued woodsmen.

Striding closer to the melee, the Obsidiman briefly reached down to the cave floor, and grasping a handful of small rock chippings, he began to chant softly, his bass voice sounding like the thunder of a faraway river.

Earth Darts it is! Threadweaving 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (5) = 6

As his chanting began to increase in volume, he threw the rock chips into the air. Immediately they began to swirl as if caught in some invisible vortex, faster and faster...

Declaration phase / Roll Initiative please

Solonchak Initiative 1d8 ⇒ 6

Statement: let fly with those Earth Darts

My post above still applies

No, your attack missed. It's in the end round description. reposted below:

M T'skrang Archer

A wicked grin shows on Sytåz's face when he sees arrow slip past the troll's armor. He continues to press forward, launching another arrow at his foe.

Dice Rolls:

Init: 1d12 ⇒ 5
To hit: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8
Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 8) = 9

M T'skrang Archer

I'll use my last karma to try and make sure I hit: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Exploding damage die: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Total to hit: 9
Total damage: 11

So missed that part. My bad.

Glottal Cha resists the urge to scream at the pain in his body. He steels himself and attacks the troll in silence.

Init 1d12 ⇒ 2
Sword attack 1d8 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (2) = 8
Kick attack 1d12 ⇒ 8
Sword damage 1d10 + 1d12 ⇒ (4) + (7) = 11

+1 strain

waiting on Fenswalder and Garrett, if nothing by PM I will Puppet him.

Ladras will attempt to spirit grip glottal again

Spoiler:
1d12 ⇒ 9 Spellcasting 1d6 + 1d8 ⇒ (4) + (4) = 8
Effect: 2d8 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

The troll bellows "I will tear out your soul and feed it to my master!", as Glottal feels more tearing at his very being. Solonchak finishes forming crystalline weapons from the earth and hurls them at the Massive troll, who's vision obscured, fails to see them coming. Fenswalder loses concentration on his target then Sytaz' shots compensates for Glottal's massive form in the way and slams home, while Garrett's arrows fly wide, in an attempt to not bury the arrows in Glottal Cha's back. As the troll begins to look worried, Glottal kicks him in the groin and then brings the blade down on the back of the troll's skull. The Troll collapses, you realize, the tainted troll is no longer breathing...

Mechanics:

Spoiler:

I9 Ladras causes (5-1mystic=3) versus Glottal
I6 Solonchak hits for (9-2 mystic=7)
I6 Fenswalder misses
I5 Sytaz barely hits versus 7+2 cover=PD9 DMG: 11-4PA=7
I5 Garret misses
I2 Glottal kicks Ladras(10-4=6dmg)sword (11-4=7dmg)

Hit his death rating exactly

"No you won't."
Glottal Cha then kicks the dead troll, puts his sword into the ground leaning on it, and says, "Good shooting there guys."
He wavers some and leans on his sword.
"Let's clean this mess up and get on home. We're going to need a fire."

He tries not to let his wounds bother him as he starts to drag the troll body out of the cave.
