Yeah, luckily there's only one and a half seasons that you have to catch up on. But you do have watch the previous episodes.

Exactly! Walter Bishop is one of the best characters I think ever invented. John Noble is awesome in the part. Plus, they've got Leonard Freaking Nimoy as a guest star! Kick ASS!!!!!
And Supernatural is cool. Sharp writing and a good long-term story that has built really slow for the last four and half years. For some of the monsters they really dug into various cultural myths.
Hm. What season is Fringe on now?
Supernatural...who's in it and what channel are they on? I don't recall that being a FOX show...or is it?

Fringe is on Season 2.
Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki. It's on the CW. One of the only shows they have that isn't mind-numbingly idiotic, IMHO.

Fringe kinda reminds me of the X-Files, but when I see Joshua Jackson, I can't help but think of Dawson's Creek....ick.Urizen wrote:But it gives me something to watch on Thursday nights ...What? I very much agree about Walter Bishop. The show wouldn't be nearly as good without that character.
I've heard good things about Supernatural. The marketing, as it's a CW show, seems to be more geared towards the attractiveness of the costars. I worry that someone would find me less masculine for watching it. :)

That was the initial impression I got. CW is notorious for that type of marketing .... which turns me off quickly.

I'm comfortable enough with my manhood to not worry about that. I like that show because it's got two dudes who hunt down monsters and other things that go bump in the night. Plus, like I said, it's got a really cool big picture story that they've been building up since the beginning.

Ah, the CW! I think that's why I panned it immediately...because it's the CW. :P Thursday nights at what time? I can DVR it.
Thursday nights at 9:00.
They've also been showing repeats on TNT at 10:00 am weekdays, starting with the first season. Right now they're about midway through season 2.

I'll have to check out the reruns.
