Looking at the speakers helps because I've managed to learn to read lips to a degree.
I read lips alot. Explains my moist hooker red lipstick fetishes. :P
Do you wear hearing aids?
Not yet. But my mom is helping me look into getting one.

They help immensely. Just shop accordingly. The Miracle Ears and Beltones of the world are gougers when it comes to the price. Truthfully, you shouldn't have to pay for more than $1500 for a single in-the-ear fittings. Digital too & with a telecoil, I may add.
The downside is that medical aid doesn't seem to be as flexible or forgiving for reimbursement when it comes to hearing aids as durable medical equipments as they do glasses or other necessary items. Cheeses me off to a degree though. Gorram insurance companies.

And on that note, my tenure here at work is done for the day (week). Time to brave the snow and do some errands on the way home. Thank goodness the woman allowed me to drive her SUV today. The roads shall fear me ... as well as the drivers who dare travel on them. :P
Later, FaWTLers!
Drive careful, talk soon.

I don't have the nerve too try to post at work.
The filters used by the DOD servers that operate on their parallel internet (all the addresses are https instead of http among other things but the regular internet can be accessed) are kind of picky on what pages they allow to be seen. They will not allow access to pages which the filter labels as "game", they also don't allow access to youtube and I would be willing to bet they do not allow access to "social networking" sites too. However, they are not too hard to get around. The filter does not stop cached files from being viewed. So, to view this site or say that of WotC, I can "click" on the cached link and then choose the "current page" option to go to the up to the minute page. However, I try to limit the amount of time spent bypassing DOD filters because I don't think it would be good for my continuing to have internet access which would require a transfer to a different job...Also, since there are a lot of rules in place to prevent the transfer of information out of the facility (such as not being allowed to use an outside email address...) I doubt they would take kindly to actually posting from their computers.
So, usually I won't post through the week before about 1700 (after I get home) and usually not after 2200 (after I go to bed).

Let the mocking begin. I just talked with the mechanic. He told me what was wrong with my car. The transmission fluid was almost empty and the oil filter was so loose that it was spraying oil everywhere. Other than that, the car is fine.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
But seriously, thats a good thing. Congrats on the good fortune!

Um, yeah. I'd laugh at you, but I'm likely to do the same thing. :)

Well, that all depends on what you're getting. You can get the cheaper -- decent ones even -- but in a sense you get what you pay for. It also depends on whether you're a kid, an adult, etc. as to what type of hearing aid you should be purchasing. If it's for a child, I definitely wouldn't spend the money on an in-the-ear version as they are still growing. Over-the-ear styles would be more suited for children as the flexi-plastic mould for the inner ear is much cheaper to replace as the child grows in age.
