Pretty much. It's my daughter I have to worry about when it comes to the stealth department. She's really good at seeing what works and what doesn't with her older brother. I'm kinda dreading the next 4 years.

How old are your brood?

My son is 15 (sophomore in high school) and my daughter is 13 (7th grade).

Riiiiiiiiiight. ;)
The humor from the whole thing comes from the fact that Solnes, the PC, is quite shy. She gets uncomfortable about her sexuality and has been pretty much chaste by elven standards for most of her life.
'chaste by elven standards' means she doesn't go greek? ;P

less than 30 or so lovers in 100 years. Elves live waaaaay to long to commit to monogomy. :P

That reminds me...I probably have the picture packed away, but a psycho ex of mine and I were driving back home up I-77 and remember seeing this mountaintop in Northern Virginia just before heading into WV and it looked like there was a nipple at the top as the peak was isolated from the rest of the range. We called it 'Tit Mountain'.

Is it unfair that fathers worry more about what might happen to their daughters instead of their sons?

I don't. I expect my son to behave himself, and if I catch him runnin' around with some little girlie, I'll kick his ass. And I'll do the same to any kid that thinks he's gonna score with my princess.

We took a page out of Tolkien, elves live for 1000 years. When you live that long, 'till death do you part' takes on a whole nother meaning. lol

I was actually pretty good. I never really got all wrapped up in sex, untill I was alomost out of my teen years, and even then I always felt it was something special.

And on that note, the missus arose from her slumber, so I need to spend some quality time. Talk to you later, drow bro from another mo.

from what I learned in my Human sexuality and gender roles class a while back, it is more or less based off of traditional/typical gender perception. In most circles(here in the U.S) it is shameful to be labeled a slut/whore for females. In the male circles it is the exact opposite, the shame comes from being a virgin.

As you can tell that was one class I paid attention in ;)

However Tolkien elves were virtuous and very monogamous.

Made it to work by the way. Unlike yesterday there was not a wreck every 2 miles. Kinda nice and quiet.

Glad you made it safe and reletivly sound.

I've always thought that was BS. I've know girls who some would say were tramps, that just enjoyed sex. Just as I have no reason to mock a guy that hasn't taken that step, I felt no need to judge them either. Once you reach a certain age, it's your life, live it as you see fit. But always make a mature decission based off of all possible consequences.

I agree with that, but I always find it funny to view society cast it's double standards that way. Don't even get me started on innuendos for the genitalia, or masturbation terms. Those just get hilarious

Attitudes and worse still societal attitudes on subjects generally taboo ones change over time. As a society progresses they generally become more open and more willing to look at things in a different perspective. There is a backlash when things go too far too fast but if done slowly over time then you get a more calm informed and measured response. If however changes go to slow then well that causes a backlash as well. Things like bra burnings ect... I think that over the next 10-20 years we will have a second sexual revolution and if it goes too fast we will have riots and angry religious backlashes.

If I sell all my plasma, too, I might be able to afford to live off of that. I'd be dead, but that's a minor detail.

Congratulations.

I was able to sleep in til 0800 today! Wahoo!

Been cleaning house ever since and reorganized my desk while I was at it: unhooked and moved the printer to a small stand next to my desk and moved my computer parts (keyboard, monitor. mouse, and tower) from one side of the corner desk to the other which required crawling under the desk to unhook and rehook everything. I am done cleaning for today.

We have a lot of snow on the ground for around here. It changed from snow to sleet for about an hour and is back to snow again with high winds. The temperature should stay below freezing (low 20s) all day and get into the teens tonight.

It should get a little over freezing Sunday (enough t melt some of the snow on the roads) and then drop back into the low teens on Sunday night. Perfectly timed to freeze everything before I have to get out onthe roads at 0400 Monday morning to catch a flight. :( But, hey, it will be 80 in San Diego. :)
