I've noticed on a few orders in the past, that sometimes Medial Mail is an option, and other times, it isn't.
I've seen a couple of threads questioning this, and I think it had something to do with USPS restrictions on what is considered legit - bound printed material, CDs, etc.
What about Parcel Post? I couldn't find any threads that mentioned this, and was just curious why this wasn't an available option? Transit time appears to be similar to Media Mail, but it's not nearly as expensive as Priority Mail is at times.
On that note, is there any system in place that accomodates Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes?
Thanks for appeasing my curiosity!

When we offer "Standard Mail," that's actually a catch-all for any number of relatively low-priced services that have similar transit times. We compare eligible services and pick the cheapest. We don't actually use Media Mail, as eligibility requirements are very strict, but we do use Bound Printed Matter mail where that makes sense. (We use it a lot.)
Our Priority Mail offering also has a lot going on behind the scenes. We silently determine whether your Priority shipment will fit into Small, Medium, or Large Flat Rate Boxes, or if it's cheaper to go by weight, or even if it's eligible for the special APO/FPO rate for military destinations, and we then offer you only the cheapest of the eligible options.
