You can also download demos of the game on Steam, WildTangent, and Perfectworld.com. You get 2 hrs to demo the game. You can also buy the game from those sites, but I encourage you all to buy directly from Runic Games so they get 100% of the profits!

This game is single player only for now. In the next 18-24 months they are going to add an MMO aspect to the game as well. If anyone is familar with Mythos then you will understand how they plan on doing it.

So, check it out! It's probably the best indie game that has come out in years!

I really, really enjoyed Torchlight.. it was well worth the fee to purchase it.

Once you beat the game you can just keep going in the neverending dungeon.

I do recommend going to their forums though and getting the respec potion addon. It makes making a mistake less maddening in character building.

I, too, have this awesome bit of dungeon-crawly goodness. I got it on sale from Steam for $5 a couple months back. Good stuff. Highly recommended!

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd bump it up to let others know this game is now on xbox live for $15.

As a fan of Diablo, I immediately downloaded it. Let the hoarding begin! I can easily play this game for a few hours and not even realize it. Good stuff.

And to get the respec potion, all you have to do is 'gift' a friend, even if they don't have the game. If they do, they get one too!
