Humm every time I reloaded preview it game me the same roll, and when I submitted i got the same number
Someone posted upthread that you could use preview to change the result. I hadn't actually tried that.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
OK, it looks like you have to use the browser's back button and re-paste the message to get a different result, so at least it isn't as easy as repeatedly clicking the preview button. Sorry for that.

That sucked... just like my real dice! :-/
Yes, I used to think that dice hated me, when I would get a long string of extremely bad rolls. Then I started using a computer random number generator and printing sheets of predetermined die rolls... and those seemed to hate me too. Especially when they resulted in a TPK.

OK, I wanted to get an idea how easy it is to cheat. My first preview came up natural 20, but getting lucky on the first try didn't tell me anything, so I tried again. Then it took me 97 more tries to get another 20, which seems like pretty bad luck. Those 97 tries took 14 minutes.
It's enough of a pain that even if I was a cheater, I wouldn't bother most of the time. But if I cared about the result, it's not that hard, and if I was willing to settle for 15 or above, it would probably take less than a minute.

OK, the preview result is 12. I'll post that, then see if editing my post changes the result.
EDIT: Doesn't seem to change the result.
EDIT: That's pretty cool if editing your post doesn't change the result. You might think of something more to say about your character in a pbp and be upset if it changed the result.
EDIT: Can I add another roll? 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18. Yes, and it still doesn't change the earlier result.

Also, 1001 is a cooler number than 1000.

I don't like the fact that the modifier (+7) is printed twice, as in
1d20 + 7 := (3) + 7 = 10
Also, I don't want to see the unmodified result. No one needs it, and you can infer it with simple arithmetic. I really just want to see
1d20+7=10
Someone pointed out to me in another thread that the unmodified roll is useful for determining critical hits and also for games that roll a bunch of d6 and count a hit for each die with a high enough number. Looks like I was wrong about the unmodified result, but I still want to minimize the number of characters needed to represent a dice roll. Instead of repeating the modifier, why not
1d20(3)+7=10
Is there any plan to log dice rolls by character and thread, like Invisible Castle does? (Logging by thread implicitly is more convenient than entering the campaign name for each roll, as in IC, and it amounts to the same thing.) This would be useful for GMs and helps prevent cheating.
Can you hide the result in preview, as someone suggested upthread? I haven't seen any response to the problem of cheating yet. As long as it's this easy to cheat, even an explicit honor system (using real dice) would be better than this roller, which is not explicit about its susceptibility to cheating, and therefore pretends to be something it's not (a roller suitable for use in a pbp).
