As the good folks here said, and I might add that it was invented, so to speak, by a Danish guy. Which just makes me proud.. being a Dane and all ;-)

Just Google the thing and you will be thouroughly enlightened.... :-)

And what is old?

I'm 36... Is that old?

I mean, you are as old as you feel, right?

My great-grandmother fell and got herself a black eye because she wanted to show her great-granddaughter how to skiprope... I think she was 91 at the time.... ;-)

Surely, you are not that old :-)

Me too, I always miss the hubby. However, having Monday's off helps. ;)

I can sometimes be a lil slow. ;)

Speaking of slow, my internet connection is really slow today.

Good morning. :/

maybe I shouldn't be trying to download all the porn that Flash sent me. :)

Well, at least I got my grocery list done. Not looking forward to braving the grocery store, but at least I'm no longer contagious.

Well, that goes without saying. :)

Okay - I'm better now. :)

Tonight I am making my 'I'm too lazy to make this the proper way' black beans and rice. One of the few dishes my son will devour happily.

Edit: Oh, cool! I got top of page. :)

We are having tacos tonight. And then i have to get stuff for Moorluck to fix tue and wed, and then thursday I am making meatball sandwiches. Looking forward to those! ;)

So I was at a used bookstore the other day and found a copy of the BESM d20 Monsterous Manual. I bought it hoping for lots of anime/manga style illos of all of the SRD monsters. Instead, I got a few splash pages with some of the monsters engaged in battle, but nothing like I had hoped for. I am very disappointed.

Well, I only have the baby today. My lil girl went to the beach with my mom and my Aunt. I was supposed to go with them, but I really wasn't feeling up to chasing my 1 year old all over the beach. Maybe I should have though, my aunt is only in town for a few days. :\

Tacos yum! I just made tacos last week, so I'm not sure my picky eaters would be happy to see them again, but they still sound good to me. :)

Well that stinks. :/

On a lighter note, I got my kids to sit down with me and role up Pathfinder characters. My youngest, who is six, is playing a wizard. When i asked him if he wanted a bonded object or a familiar, after explaining what it meant, he said "I think I should have a magic wand because I'm a wizard."

Hey.

I just watched this very anger inspiring video and now I can't stop crying. How can people seriously hurt or kill a child? A two year old? And why is so freaking common? That poor little girl. And why is it, might I ask that her mother and step father only got 30 years in prison? Killing a child should be a life sentence or worse. They serioulsy do not deserve to live. I think I am going to spend some time loving on my little boy here. All I can think is that she wasn't much older than him!

Well, hopefully you'll get another chance to spend time with her. I know it can be frustrating. I remember many family gatherings where I basically got to talk to nobody because I spent all my time child wrangling. So at least you skipped the frustration and went straight to the guilt. Think of all the time that saves. :)

This is much awesome! Our oldest is playing a ranger. He enjoys it. :)

Oh I will, I plan on going to see them for an hour or so this after noon after I get the boy from school. I just for one, hate the beach, two truly don't feel all that well, and three, really didn't want to chase them around, like you said, you get no time to really talk to anyone. But yeah, the guilt has settled in.

It's like the closing line of Desperate Housewives last night. For the record, I dn't watch it, my wife watches Brorthers and Sisters and DH always runs a little past the top of the hour. Any way it said, it is easy to find sin in the suburbs, just look behind any closed door. But every once in a while someone comes along to remind us that there is a difference between sin and pure evil.

I stuck my nose outside this morning and it was almost blown off by the 40-50 mph wind out there. Autumn's coming in with a vengeance here in Wisconsin. It's raining like crazy out there, too. Good to see that the boards are busy with their usual insanity -- porn downloading, berserk leprechauns, the lot! :) Good morning, all .... hope you're all no worse than usual today! ;)

I hope this clears it up. As an ex-cop, I know first hand the evil that people are capable of. Some parents just can't handle the responsibility and snap. These are the ones I feel sorry for. Some of them grow to resent their children for the "freedom" they believe they take away from them. One case I worked, which a friend used as inspiration for a CSI episode he wrote, involved a mother killing her ten year old daughter because she thought the daughter was coming on to the mother's boyfriend and trying to seduce him. And some people are just plain evil.

That was a non sequitur, by the way.

I like pie. Cherry pie, or strawberry pie is the best.

This I understood, what I don't get is what people are capable of.

Personally I prefer rhubarb, but cherry pie is good.

See stuff like this, this is what i don't get. As a parent, nothing is more important to me than my children. I love them so much that it hurts. I couldn't even concieve hurting them like that.

Apparently they have no issues with hurting me though. lol, I just got whacked in the face with a sippy cup. Right in teh lip, and oh yeah, its bleeding. I guess he was done being tickled huh? :)

Peach is great, and so is pecan and pumpkin. :)

I feel your pain. :)

My son broke my nose twice when he was younger. He had a real thing for headbutting and those were the times when I just didn't dodge fast enough. One of the times he broke my glasses too. Oddly enough the eyeglass repair guy didn't find this in the least unusual. Apparently there are a lot of small children out there prone to breaking glasses.

I can't argue with any of those. Although I prefer pumpkin cheesecake to pumpkin pie. It's too bad you don't live close or I'd make some grape pie for you. It's awesome! :)

Mmm, I have never had grape pie. That sounds good. Yeah, we are looking to move in the next two years, and your hubby has invited us to move to your neck of the woods. :)

Kellen once nearly broke my nose, Thankfully I was wearing contacts though. He too had a thing for headbutting. Those times really hurt.

The thing is that a good chunk of our society doesn't think that way, at least not anymore. We were actually talking about this very thing in church yesterday. One of thechurch leaders shared the experience of sitting on an airplane and talking to a young couple. Eventually the subject of kids came up. "We're not having kids," the woman said. "We have dogs. Dogs are easier than kids. They are less messy, we can leave them on their own when we want to travel, they don't talk back, and we don't have to ground them." We live in a very "me" oriented society these days, and the idea of putting someone else's needs before your own is not a popular one anymore, and is in fact alien to a lot of people.
