Devlyn nods.

"But a female drow going out and leading an operation personally? That sounds like something far less obvious is indeed going on, especially when combined with the fact that she also possesses powers of the mind. I think she marches to a different drummer than the norm."

"Any clues to her affiliations? I need something solid. Did she have any distinguishing marks?"

"She was accompanied by two minotaurs, one of which was the color of ivory, and had a strange symbol on her necklace."

"What did this symbol look like? Can you draw a description for me?"

Mornin' all :)

Devlyn pulls out a bit of charcoal and some parchment and draws out the design of the drow woman's symbol.

And I'm so glad I stated that Devlyn committed that little trinket's appearance to memory.... ;D

Once Delvyn finishes the symbol, Ogiva looks at it for briefly then his eyes widen. He hisses deeply from the depth of his throat.

"Are you sure that's whatyou saw," he says through clenched teeth.

"Yes sir. I take it this is one piece of information you actually didn't want, is it?" Devlyn asks, noting Ogiva's reaction (and performing some quick Sense Motive goodness to make sure it's genuine).

Time for me to wander home. G'Night All :)

Happy Friday All :)

He rolls his tongue in his closed mouth. "It misfortune to speak her name and misfortune if you've crossed the path of those that serve her. That symbol belongs to a demon queen. She calls herself Decca, Queen of Ruin. She despises faiths and deity worship of all kinds. She servants are called Ur-Priests. They steal from the divine and use the magic for themselves."

Allura looks at Devlyn. "That doesn't sound like good news for us. Could be worse news for someone else. Or someones more like."

Allura wrote:

Oroth gets a chill up his spine. He knew they weren't thinking of him, but a lot of his power was divine. Still he couldn't help worrying more about the others.

"Should I go warn them?"

"Should I go warn them?"

Devlyn eyes Oroth when he asks that, noting how his body tensed up for just a moment.

"Let's make sure we have the whole story first, Oroth, before we run off to act on incomplete information."

He looks back to Ogiva.
"You've had dealings with her devotees before, I would guess. Any suggestions on 'dealing' with them?"

Time to go home and get ready for my RL game tonight. A happy weekend to all! :)

Mornin' All

Sorry for delays, but my friend and boss of nearly ten years is headed for open heart surgery tomorrow. I've been helping with his house and keeping his cherished dog happy for the last two days. So I hope everything is successful without a hitch.

Ogiva's brow narrows. "You've misread me. I have heard of her and her mercenary band, The Company of the Ebony Harlot, but I have no direct dealings with her. It is rumored she has another high priest who attends to the flock, a devotee a herlot-goddess of misfortune and black luck. They say Decca is very selfish and possessive of her chosen, whenever and however she gathers them."

"Charming - the bad guys always invent such catchy names for themselves, don't they?"

"So you're saying there are two priests of this demon queen running things in the Tunnels?"
Your post was a little confusing - just trying to clarify what Ogiva was trying to say... :)

"I deal with only information and cyrptic knowledge, and sometimes what I learn isn't good enough. I believe the cleric is in her service and he worships a deity called Beshaba. That's what I've heard. And no one operates the Tunnels. They're too large and too deep to garnish total control. More Tea?"

"Yes please," he says with a nod as he puts his cup down for a refill.

"Beshaba is a name I recognize, and that doesn't make for a pleasant pairing, even if it is most likely a temporary one. At least they haven't carved out an entire empire under the city to deal with, though."

"Well, it sounds like these folks aren't going to be good for anybody's business here if left to their own devices. I guess we need to see about relocating them elsewhere."

And now to go home. See everyone tomorrow :)

Mornin' All.

And good morning again... ;D

Sorry about the long gap in silence. I've been helping a friend, his daughter, his grandson and keeping an eye on his houise and dog for the last two days. Gary went to heart surgery yesterday afternoon and was released to ICU around 7:00 P.M. last night. The thing is there were no complications during the operation and it looks like he will make a speedy recovery.

I'll try to post soemthing today or tomorrow morning. I need to look back through the last posts so I can get a sense of where I'm going as to where I'm heading.

P.S. Paizo Rocks!

No worries man - we figured you were busy with all that. Great news that all went well in surgery. Give him our best wishes for a speedy recovery! :)

Good to know everything went well with Gary BP.

That's my line! >:P

Glad to hear that your friend is recovering well, BP. I hope that continues and he has a speedy recovery. And of course we can be patient about the game while you're helping out there. Friends come before game every time.

"Rumor on the street says they are looking for someone who can access a particular place not easily accessable to the Bazaar. Perhaps you should try and find this person before they do."

Yup. Looks like I'm going to dock you some experience points for that mistake. :-)

Hey - it was a great party at the Jacks' Clubhouse. Wish I hadn't been working the whole time while I was there, but you can't have everything, neh? ;D

"Someone who can access someplace that isn't all that accessable to the Bazaar. That could be a bit tricky to pin down on short notice. Doesn't sound like there's much choice in the matter, though. I guess we'd better get started. Thanks for the tea and the atmosphere," Devlyn says as he settles up the tab.

Aidan and Oroth pay for their tea, they may not have done anything but listen, but the tea was still good.

"Good fortune to you." Ogiva collects the tab then moves towards the bar's main counter

Mornin' all.

Devlyn and the rest of the group leave the tavern and return to the Bazaar.
