Groodar from behind cover of the landing gear takes a shot at an advancing droid (as weapon was already drawn in previous post).

Sporting Blaster Pistol (with Point Blank Shot since the droids are within 20 meters/10 squares):
Sporting Blaster Pistol Attack Roll (1d20+3+1=18)
Sporting Blaster Pistol Damage Roll (3d4+1=7)

Profile character sheet updated for shots left on pistol

Groodar's sporting blaster fires, striking a droid squarely in the head. Its head spins, and lolls to one side. While the droid has many exposed wires and its head leaning precariously to one side, the droid does not seem to have ceased functioning quite yet.

"Be careful. It is probably best to hold them up here. We have cover at the top of the ramp, but with the wreckage around us, it would hamper us a great deal to try and press forward. Hopefully though, it will give them the same problems getting to us and give us a few good shots."

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Klonsa ignites his lightsaber and feels the Force flow through him.

I will ready my action to use Force Grip on the nearest droid when they get in range (6 squares).

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

Aruuna spends a moment calming her thoughts, preparing for the ecstasy of battle, taking a second to examine the terrain infront of her, hoping to find a good path to take when she runs through it.

Perception Check (1d20+1=13)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Basic: "Groodar got one, right in the face! Did you see that HK!"

Rodese:: "tIqDaq HoSna' tu'lu'"

Spoiler:

"Droid parts for all!"

Just to clarify the point, this area is filled with debris and slippery shieldleaf plants that cause it to be treated as rough terrain (-2 squares of movement).

Perception Check (1d20+1=13)

For Aruuna:

Spoiler:
Making your perception check, you realize that if you spend a swift action and make a perception check, you can find enough of a path among the less slippery, more stable shieldleaf plants to move at your normal speed.

Any character can do this, and you may point this out to them since you took the time to check on this.

This also counts as your check for next round's movement.

((Aruuna was going to just charge through the difficult terrain, and hope her acrobatics skill was good enough to hopefully catch the droids offguard . Can she do that next round and still point out the clear path to everyone else?

Actually, what Aruuna can point out is that anyone can take a swift action to make a perception check to find a path of stable shieldleaf plants. In other words, any given round, you can make a check to find a stable patch of shieldleaves to run across, so long as you spend the swift action to look.

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

((Excellent!

After taking a cursory glance at the terrain infront of her, she speaks to the rest of her companions. 'Looks like there's a way to cut through those leaves, if you guys want to avoid the rubble.'

Remar, still in the hold, draws his blaster and makes a few personal modifications (OOC: Class Talent) to it. Then, he moves the firing mode from stun to full, takes up cover behing the cargo door, and fires at the closest droid. (1d20+4=6 <5, if they're further than 20 yards> Since I doubt that hit, I won't bother rolling damage.)

(OOC: I know this is too many actions for 1 round. Due to my limited posting schedule, I thought I'd post Remar's next few actions and let you break them up over however many rounds you need to.)

Surprise round is over!

The droids seemed to have recovered from their initial surprise after the onslaught led by HK-22 opening salvo.

Two of the droids are no more, and one has had its head damaged, and at this point, they have identified all of you as threats.

"Hostiles identified. Activating assault protocols. Eliminate potential threats to continued activation."

The average initiative for the party is +5.5.

The average initiative for the droids is +8.

The droids roll an 18, and the GM has rolled a 13 for the PCs. The droids will take all of their actions first, but I'll call out Danguard and Klonsa if their readied actions come about.

I'm going to go ahead and post the droid actions that do not trigger any readied actions first.

Of the ten remaining droids, one moves within 9 squares (18 meters) of Aruuna, apparently not able to process the safe path in front of it. It double moves to get into that position, so its turn is done.

Droids from the back rank and second rank move up about 8 meters and commence firing on the adventurers. Of the 9 that have not used their turn yet, 7 move up and begin to fire.

The droids open fire, but most of their shots go wide or are deflected by the cover provided by the ship's landing gear or boarding ramp. Of all of the targets that the droids fire on, Ceelel is the only one singed.

For Ceelel:

Spoiler:
Ceelel takes 7 hit points energy damage from the droid's blaster.

Before the last two droids take their actions, you all feel a charge in the air, and see tiny electrical crawling on nearly every surface that you can see. Near the droids, you see these motes build up particularly around one of the droids.

The droid perceives the build up of electricity and side steps the charge as it bursts into a full fledged discharge in the droids area.

The charge does still appear to be in the air, however, waiting to build up again.

The final two droids to act take double moves to lumber across the debris and sheildleaf plants towards the ship. One of them ends up within two meters of Klonsa, triggering his readied action, and the droid whose head is nearly falling off moves within range of Danguard's readied action.

Dangaurd and Klonsa may both take their readied actions (meaning that they can take their readied action, then take their regular action for this round), and everyone can post their actions for the heroes initiative turn next.

Remember you can spend a swift action to make a perception check to try and negate the difficult terrain.

Once one of the two droids advancing on klonsa reach 4.6 meters of me [3 squares] the follow action is triggered:

Readied action to Jump into melee and attack:
Danguard suddenly takes to the air in a mighty leap, leaving the smell of scorched ozone in his wake from his humming lightsaber. Clearing four meters in a single bound he takes aim with his white saber on the closest droid and...

Attack Roll: (8)
Damage: (10)

Taking my new round to try and attack again Danguard doesn't seem to fare any better:

Attack Roll: (7)
Damage Roll: (14)

Snapping his lightsaber in front of him now Danguard expects to need to block some incoming shots.

Troy's lightsaber missed the droid during his downward arc, and upon recovering his guard and swinging again, the droid again manages to step out of the way of the Jedi in front of him.

"Bzzz . . . krtk . . . this unit . . . bzzz . . . sensors compensating for damaged perspective . . . performance acceptable . . . "

The droid lolls is nearly separated head toward Troy to keep an eye on the Jedi that is now adjacent to it.

For Christy:

Spoiler:
Don't forget, you didn't loose your force blast from your powers because you rolled a natural 20, and thus recovered it as soon as you used it.

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Klonsa reaches out with the Force to crush the chest cavity of a droid.

Use the Force check for Force Grip 1d20+7[15,7] = (22) Damage 4d6[6,6,5,1] = (18)

Then quickly scanning the area around him he looks for a safe path to move closer to a grouping of the droids, once he gets as close as he can he feels the Force flow through him like a tidal wave and throws it down upon the droids.

Perception check to find an easy path to move. Perception 1d20+7[1,7] = (8) Then Use the Force check for Force Slam if I can get within a 6 square cone for at least 1 droid. Use the Force 1d20+7[14,7] = (21) Damage for Force Slam 4d6 [4,5,5,3] = (17)

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Bracing himself after one of the droids blaster bolts sears across his shoulder, Ceelell calls out to the others. "On your guard, men! These droids are capable. Take them out!"

Since I'm not going to be moving down from the cover of the ship unless we are abandoning this posistion, I just want to make sure you are still considering my inspire courage ability active. If I was using it too long ago, I spend my swift this round to use it again.

Ceelell fires down on the droids with his blaster, trying to pick off one that looks like it has the best vantage point.

Blaster Shot and Damage(Ion) (1d20+2=17, 3d6=13)

Hk-22 shakes his head at all the senseless violence being perpetrated on his fellow droids... And then adds to it.

Another volley of autofire, fired at the closest clump of droids not in melee with Jedi..

Attack and Damage: 1d20=2, 3d8+2=21

Hey look! Half damage for everyone, hooray! Groan...

HK-22 takes a swift action to look down at his rifle. Clearly the time passed has affected its usually reliable destructive capabilities...

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

Aruuna looks quite pleased with seeing combat start, as she strides almost casually up to the droid in melee with Danguard, getting very close to it before tumbling past him with a quick sweep of the legs, in an attempt to get into a flanking position.

Acrobatics Roll (1d20+7+1=25) ((The +1 there is from Ceelell's inspire confidence.))

She then, with a simple flick of the wrist, activates her lightsaber and attempts to bury it in the back of the droid.

Attack Roll (1d20+2+5+1=28)((Natural 20! The +5 was from her Acrobatic Strike Feat, while the +1 was from Ceelell's inspire confidence))

Damage Roll ([2d8+1]x2=20)((The x2 for the Crit isn't in the Invisible Castle Roll, as it gave me an error when I attempted that))

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Reminder that Groodar is by the ship remains with cover behind the landing gear

Groodar fires his rather unimpressive small blaster pistol at an advancing Droid. He tries to fire at the droid he has already wounded if it is still functionable. As a move action he speaks in Rodese at the holocommunicator his is holding to direct Author to start a retreat to his direction, continuing record mode and remaining in stealth.

Basic: "Who brought grenades?"

Sporting Blaster Pistol (with Point Blank Shot):
Sporting Blaster Pistol Attack Roll (1d20+3+1=17)
Sporting Blaster Pistol Damage Roll (3d4+1=7)

Shot capacity of measely Energy Cell starts to twindle and is updated on character sheet.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Ceelell glances to Groodar. "I'm afraid that the grenade I have would not be of much use against these creatures. When preparing, I had expected the Sith themselves to be of greater threat then the droids guarding them. Things seem to have moved quite far from the plan in the intervening centuries."

Returning his attention to the battle at hand, its hard to tell if Ceelell was trying to be dryly humorous with his comment or if he is genuinely discouraged that his planning was foiled by the hibernation.

Female Jedi 1 / Soldier 1

Swift action to use Perception to find a path: 9(ew)

Not seeing a path she felt comfortable with she instead calls again on the force to blast a droid close to her.

Roll: 15
Damage: 12

Christy once again summons the force into a swirling mass of compressed air and debris and lets loose to a droid closest to her.

Klonsa wrote:

The droid nearest to Klonsa collapses with his Force grip.

Klonsa has a difficult time finding a good place to move on solid ground, and only advances about 8 meters, just barely close enough to get to use his next Force ability to scatter the pieces of the next closest droid.

Blaster Shot and Damage(Ion) (1d20+2=17, 3d6=13)

Ceelell takes aim at the droid straight ahead of him, fires his ion shot, and the energy finds a home, causing the droid to be covered with a web of electrical discharges before it shuts down.

While not accurate, HK-22's barrage of blasts is effective, perforating his fellow droid in several places and shutting the unit down quite effectively.

Aruuna deftly maneuvers behind the droid, and her lightsaber cleaves the damaged droid neatly in two pieces.

Groodar ends up taking aim at one of the droids in the back rank of droids, since his immediate aggressor was just cut in half by Aruuna. Barely within his point blank range, the blaster pistol still strikes the droid, piercing its central core, but not quite destroying the droid.

HK-22 laments yet again how the violence of the world has forced him to take the life of a fellow droid. Oh cruel world.

And then he fires at another droid, single shot this time:

Unfortunately, he can't until next round.

Remar will take his shot next round, so this should be the end of everyone's actions for this round.

The discharge that you saw building up and arcing towards the droids begins to build in the air again, and this time if flashes out again, toward Danguard Troy.

The discharge arcs towards him, but is very easily sidestepped.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar, having seen his second shot hit lets out a warcry in Jawa Trade Language.

Jawa Trade Language: "Utini!"

Spoiler:

"Huzzah!"

Next Round

Note: Most of the droids are now last row droids moving up, meaning that most of them are 26 meters from the ship, except for one that is about 10 meters from the ship and only about four meters from Aruuna and 6 meters from Danguard.

GM: no, sorry I did forget, but I'll leave that up to you if it still counts.

The droids all continue to march towards you, and once they advance toward your position a few steps, they begin firing.

The one nearest Aruuna fires on her, attack roll 23, and the blast does 12 points of damage to her, as the blast scorches her.

One in the second rank aims at Christy, attack roll 6, and has its bolt dissipate harmlessly into the ground near her.

The third remaining droid fires on HK-22 and scores a natural 20 on the attack roll. The blast hits HK-22 squarely doing 23 points of damage to the stalwart droid.

The last remaining droid fires on Klonsa, getting a 23 on the attack roll, and the shot hits the Selkath Jedi squarely for 12 points of damage.

After the droids take their shots, the natural charge in the air begins to build up again, and once it coalesces near one of the droids, an arching tendril of electricity lashes out at one of the droids.

This time, the droid cannot avoid the arc, and one of the droids in the rear guard of the droids is struck solidly, frying until its central power unit overloads the the droid blows.

Christy strike one of the droids with her Force blast, reducing their number by one. (This occurred last round, and doesn't count against her actions this round).

There are three remaining droids, and you all may take your actions for this round.

To begin the round, Remar's shot fires from the boarding ramp and missed the nearest droid.

Jumping again to bypass the terrain I take aim and swing a wild arc through the sky. (same distance as last up to 4.6 meters)

1d20+4;2d8+4 [8,8,4] = (20)

Danguard's leap carries him right next to the nearest droid, but the droid narrowly dodges away from the lightsaber as the Jedi lands next to it.

Basic: "HK-22 are you still combat functional?"

Groodar continues to return fire at one of the back row droids 26 meters away. He continues to direct Author to move to his location, maintaining recording and stealth functions.

Sporting Blaster Pistol attack roll (1d20+3+1=11)
Sporting Blaster damage roll (if it hits) (3d4+1=5)

Yes, if Author moves, he would have to make another stealth check, with no penalties as long as he doesn't move more than his normal move action movement in the round.

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Author continues to move as per his master's directive. It flies its normal movement while trying to remain stealthy amidst the shieldleaf plants and other debris (8 squares or 12 meters).

Stealth check for Author (1d20+22=33)

This is some great footage Groodar thinks to himself.

HK-22 takes a swift action and uses his second wind to heal 7 HP. This brings him up to 14 HP and -1 on the condition track.

"Statement: EAT BURNING OBLIVION, RUSTBUCKETS!"

He then autofires, focusing on the droid who shot him: 1d20-1=11, 3d8+2=20

Seeing their allied droid take such a solid blast, Ceelell calls out "HK-22!" and takes a wild shot at the advancing droids before trying to move to HK's side to better assess his condition.
