Originally a crpg-datesim PC/PS3 game by the same makers as Utawarerumono, this anime features demon kings, harems with lots of women, nods to arthurian legends, magic, and wars.

Funny that you should mention K-ON!; it was one of the more popular spring 2009 anime offerings- no doubt influenced in part by being animated by Kyoto Animation, that studio behind Haruhi and Lucky Star.
If cutesy anime girls playing in a hurriedly assembled band, along with their charmingly mundane trials and tribulations does it for you- then you're certainly in for a treat.

While both anime versions are being produced by two different anime-animation companies, both of them should stay fairly faithful to their respective game storylines. ;)
And what can be better than having one reason for Triskaidekaphobia? When you can have two, of course- especially when those two just happen to be the 13th subtitled episodes of Slap Up Party Arad Senki and Guin Saga.

New Inuyasha TV Anime Confirmed

Long running classic Inuyasha is set to be given a new series dealing with the as yet unanimated portions of the manga (which itself finally concluded after a marathon run some time ago).
The new series will see volumes 36 to 56 of the manga animated, so it looks set to be a long running production (the original anime ran for four years).
The anime is set for an autumn broadcast, by which time much additional information will doubtless have been made available.
The previous anime continuation made nary a ripple, but doubtless this will be a different matter…
And at long last, the 15th subtitled episode of Guin Saga is out- now with a 100% more romance, one final pirate bashing or two, and plenty of intrigues and battles. The episode can found here and here.
Not to be outdone, the 8th and 9th subtitled episodes of Souten Kouro surfaces up as well; The eighth episode can be found here and the ninth episode can be found here.

Hollywood Grab Gungrave

A Hollywood adaptation of stylish shooting things anime Gungrave has been announced, to be undertaken by Convergence Entertainment, also responsible for King of Fighters…
Yasuhiro Nightow’s epic gun series Gungrave, will start production next year, with a modest budget of some $30 to $35 million, financed through “strategic partners in Asia”. To help them with the adaptation, they have also hired Red Entertainment’s Yasuaki Nagoshi to produce the movie.
Gungrave is well known through the anime adaptation of the original PS2 shooting game; the title is known for combining a variety of themes, from gangster action to sci-fi shooting.

Have to admit the latest fillers have been the best I've seen... But since 227 and 228 are actually based on the omake chapters I don't think they count as filler.
Bleach 230 - A New Enemy! The Materialization of Zanpakutou
While I haven't seen it yet I've heard people say good things about the latest Arc/Filler. My only real problem is... YOU DON"T GO INTO A COMPLETELY NEW ARC WHEN YOU'RE IN MIDDLE OF SOMETHING EPIC!!! You either go into hiatus or do something else. Not straight into a filler arc (no matter how awesome it may be)!
Another Spring 2009 anime that I've been keeping track of: Shin Mazinger Shougeki Z-Hen. It's based on the famous Super Robot series, Mazinger Z, created back in the 70's by Go Nagai.
Some of you out there might remember Mattel's Shogun Warrior Mazinga toy (based on the sequel series Great Mazinger), the Mazinkaiser DVD release by ADV, or the late 80's syndicated TV show Tranzor-Z. The Shin Mazinger 2009 anime is a modern retro-style retelling of the Mazinger (and other Go Nagai) franchise; a redone modern day incarnation of "Rocket Punch", if you will- all courtesy of Mr. Nagai and Yasuhiro "Giant Robo OVA Animation" Imagawa.
