Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Jean-Paul looked down at the fallen boy and shook his head in frustration. What on earth had driven this boy, barely out from his mothers skirts, to take on a well armed man.
He was starting to get very frustrated with being the victim of attacks. Tonight he would ask Saul who he felt was behind all this and what he planned to do about it. Jean-Paul was ready to take the fight to the enemy.
Looking up at the monk in front of him he grinned. "Nice punch Rorsius. Remind me not to get you too angry eh!".
Bending down he quickly rifled through the boys clothes, hoping to find something that might have information about why the boy attacked Zareby.
Perception 1d20=2. Hopefully if there's anything on him its not hidden :)
Sighing deeply, he stood and again looked to Rorsius "You want to be the one to explain to the Gendarmes or you want me to do it?" he asked, nodding at the dead body.

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Jean-Paul pulls out the note he finds in the boys money pouch before dropping the still full pouch onto the body. He reads it to himself, his eyebrow raised in interest before handing it to Rorsius.
"Well, well. I think it's time we asked Saul if he wants us to pay this man a visit of our own."

Kratos |

Looking up at leux Kratos smiles and holds up her new prize "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Look what I found !!! Lookie!" she squeals bouncing up and down like a small child on a sugar rush.
" It was hanging in the curtains , it's all pretty and green and , Look! see the little patten in the knots ! It has 4 twists, Four!! and , and look he wraps around maybe 3 times I mean look how well formed the twist are and the green just catches the light like magic!' She says with one breath while holding up her prize to be inspected.

Rorsius |

Looking long and hard at the lifeless criminal, he pays no heed to Jean-Paul's words at first until he produces the letter. Reading the crumpled paper, He nodded simply and added "The best Defense is a good Offense, and I'm tired of waiting to be attacked."
Turning swiftly he stopped in front of Zareby and stood silent, looking back and forth between The man's face and his side. He has a questioning look on his face, but no words find their way past his clenched canines.

Jean-Paul nods at Zareby when he agrees to talk to the guards. He tells him about the note then turns and walks back into the Goblin.
He quickly finds Sal and tells him about the note. "I think it's time we let people know we aren't here to be pushed around Saul".
"hmm" thought saul, "i agree get the others and see what they think,"

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Jean-Paul moves around the gambling establishment and gathers all of his companions. e responds to any questions with "Not yet" until he has everyone together in a safe and quiet meeting place.
When they're all gaehred he shows them the note from the boys body outside. "Saul thinks we should maybe let these guys know not to keep messing with our business. I'm all for that, but first I'd like to know what the boy was attacking you for Zareby?". He turns a questionin eye towards the gambling man as he asks the question.
Details of the note are in the spoiler marked loot further up the page. Cheers

Just want to make an apology for the lack of posting on weekends lately. My weekends have been pretty crazy this summer and are progressively busier. They're starting to drag out into the week. But i'll do my best to catch up and resume posting as normal. Thanks for all the patience and such friends.

Not a problem memento! having a lot of things going on my self at the moment, what with novel writing and getting back into world of warcraft, but i think i can pick up the pace a bit soon if you guys are all up to it? hopefully we'll get kayos back too soon!

Zareby Grenache |

"You read the note, didn't you? I lied to his boss, his boss told him to either get more information or kill me, I didn't tell him good information, so he tried to kill me. Mind watching the kid for a few seconds, I'm just going back in for a few seconds." With that, Zareby goes back inside and makes his way to Kratos. "Hey, beautiful. Got anything for a stab wound?"

OK guys lets get going! i have a shiny new avatar to push me forward as well=D
Zareby went to Kratos for some healing but the young gnome has no power in the healing arts, and instead went to see the dead person.
While Zareby was inside Bojask Sauls bodyguard had come out side and told Jean-Paul he was to dump the body somewhere and headed off after telling Jean-Paul he should probably make a plan to attack Zincher with the others.
Meanwhile Saul walks up on to the catwalks to see Narnel and tells him that Jean-Paul wanted to see them all to make a strategy of attack.
Zareby, Narnel, Jean-Paul, and Kratos all head to meat in there room, now relieved that the body has been dealt with and they can plan the attack on Zincher.
ok your now all in your room, commence the planing people, do you want to scout out his place first? maybe gather information in the morning? what?

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Jean Paul looks at the bleeding man before replying "I can try and stitch that for you if you like. I'll need to get some of Sauls medical supplies adn I've no prefessional training in it, but I might be able to stop you bleeding to death". The offer is genuine, but so is the fact he's only ever seen others do such things.
No matter waht Zareby's response, he also tells teh others "We need to send this Zincher a message of our own. I'm tired of waiting here to get smacked around by some two bit criminal." He pauses and looks around for somethign to write on.
"First we need a plaan, and an idea of wht Zinchers place looks like, wht his movements are, how many men he has. That kind of thing. Anyone got any ideas?"

Zareby Grenache |

"Go ahead, it'll be better than nothing."
"Zincher? I think I heard something about his base..."

Narnel Gallion |

Trying to stay out of the way and watch the others for the planning, Narnel none the less steps forward to speak. "Did that thug have any reason to attack you, Zareby? I don't know if we are quite sure how connected this was to the incident with the snake, obviously it is quite a coincidence that such events would happen so near together, but I suspect Saul has more enemies then we know. Perhaps Zincher's arrival was simply to watch Saul's troubles after the snakes arrived? We should know all of the enemies we face before we strike, or we'll leave our backs open to them."

![]() |

Sadly Zareby cant quite remember what he heard about Zincher's building, but Narnel remembered he had seen it when he arrived in Riddleport and had asked what it was, It was a large five story building heavily guarded, and Zincher himself dweled right at the top.

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

"What we really need to do is catch him outside the place. Give him a bit of a scare. Alternately, we can target something of his that he covets, just like he's doing to Saul. Pick a place he runs and make things difficult for him."
While he talks, Jean-Paul begins to crudely stitch Zareby's side together. His finngers are certainly nimble enough for knife work and knots on a sailing ship, but this thread and blood stuff was anotehr thing altogether.
"If we do need to take the place though, lets not just go through the front door. If he lives at teh top, let's start there. Are there any buildings nearby that are equally as tall we could use as a means of access?"
Heal check (if required) - 1d20=2. Ummmm... you may want to get that looked at. I think I sewed your shirt to your intestine there.

![]() |

Jean-Paul didn't do anything as bad as sow his shirt to an intestine, but the current stitches aren't really helping at all and they will likely be very hard and painful to remove even for a skilled doctor.
As Jean-Paul asks about a tall building near Zincher's Narnel remembers seeing a five story inn just across the street from it.
