Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Jean-Paul slips the dwarf a confident wink and states with a smile "Aye then, I'll take that offer up. he offers his hand in a warriors shake before moving off into the crowd, back towards teh bounders table.
As he moves, he scans the crowds, looking for trouble, trying to get a sense of danger from the room. With this much gold and grog flowing freely, and every man and whore in here armed to the teeth, something was going to happen. He planned on being there to stop it if he could.
Spot and sense motive (in order)1d20=5, 1d20+5=14 . Well I can't see past teh glitter of the event, but maybe I'll pick on the mood of the room. :)

Well good luck my friend another hand Places all the tokens he has in 16 gold, and 105 silver for a total of 26g and 5 silver All or nothing here's a chance for you 1d20+2=8
Scoty I need more power

Rorsius |

Rorsius glanced back at Rashmi and nodded before making his way into the lavatory right behind the bouncer. If him and the bouncer are the only ones inside, then he will quickly turn and lock the door behind him. He breaths deeply and wastes no time in delivering a flurry of subdual blows to the bouncer.
Flurry of blows 1d20=20, 1d20=18

Yep...sufficiently bad @ss.

Zareby Grenache |

Narnel Gallion |

Narnel makes his way over first to where Zareby and Leux are playing, leaning down to whisper to each of them in turn. "Be alert, friends. I'm not quite sure just what is going on, but Rorsius seems to think that there is some sort of trouble afoot and Rashimi certainly believes him. I don't know if its anything, but he suggested I warn you just in case."He frowns and glances about, his brows knitting together when he doesn't spot the monk. "It may be already starting."
No doubt, Zareby. That would have murdered me. Would have been unconscious the first hit. By the last one I would have been at -10, so 1hp away from negative con. Though being a bouncer unconscious may constitute a crime, so the rule may be don't commit non-violent crimes around Rorsius.

Leux |

Will do my friend but it may seem that I might not be in here long enough to see the action. But, I will keep my eye out friend He looks around noticing the placement of the bouncer/gaurds and for anything out of the ordinary perception check1d20+5=10 maybe the event is blocking his sight

"Oh, Rorsius thinks something vile is happening? He always thinks that. If someone sneezed too loudly he'd think it was indicative of society's descent into chaos. Besides, if something bad is going to happen, he won't be able to stop it. Just relax and watch what unfolds."

Narnel Gallion |

Narnel nods to the two, mostly agreeing with Zareby, but at the moment he is willing to take the monk's word far enough to at least be cautious. Seeing the gnome approaching he opens his mouth to speak and then catches himself, considering that a different tact might be more appropriate with the smaller one's penchant for disorder. "Haven't seen any signs of trouble, have you?" He smiles, trying to joke some though he's obviously nervous. "Or caused any for that matter?"

"Nothing Personal."Rorsius remarks dryly upon deaf ears as he hastily dons the man's uniform and takes any identification.Kind of assuming things here. He checks himself in the mirror to make certain the uniform looks as straight as possible. untrained disguise check 1d20+2=18
Satisfied with this he walks out with the door locked behind him and makes his way to the door Saul went through of the cashier's cage, hoping that Leux's failings would be enough of a distraction for him to slip though relatively unnoticed. stealth check 1d20+6=24

Rashmi |

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, Jean-Paul returns to the table he was winning at earlier. "I'm back" is the simple statement by which he greets the punters.
"Lets up the the Ante somewhat shall we. After all, its only money. " He places 20 silver on the table and rolls. The wooden dice tumbles briefly before settling on a 1d20=4 . "Pretty good dice, I'm thinking here. Double me up!"
The second dice fairly skips from his dexterous fingers and stops on a 1d20=5 ."HAHAHAHAHAH! he booms out, " Ahhhh, lady Desna. How fickle you are.". He passes across the coins and again scans the room, looking for trouble. This is a pattern he plans on repeating for a while. Maybe three more hands before he changes positions and games.
Perception when he scans around the room 1d20=16 . Now that's a little better. Must have been a gap in the corwd or something. Assuming anything bad is about to happen that is.

Rorsius
Rashmi And Jean-paul
both rashmi and Jean-paul notice the same things at the same time you spot a dark green robed wizard having just withdrawn a scroll and entered the lavatories. also a human woman with only one eye just drops alot of chips, and then shuts her eyes along with 4 rough looking men just near her.

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

DM
Watching the events unfold as if in slow motion, Jean-Paul realises something bad is about to happen. He acidentally drops one of his silvers and bends to lick it up, dropping him out of sight of the people he witnessed earlier and closing his eyes as well. He had a feeling that wizards was going to do something nasty that involved flashing lights and he wasn't about to lose his sight when a fight started.
Spoilered this so the others are surprised if something actually does happen. Cheers.

Rorsius |

Rorsius didn't hesitate, spinning on his heel to face the Cashier with great distress in his eyes."Didn't you see you fool?!"He exclaimed. "A robed man followed Saul, an assassin no doubt! I don't have time to bicker with you, I have to protect Saul, stay here and stay calm, you don't want to alert any of his accomplices he might have." Bluff 1d20+2=19 Confident in his rushed lie, He made his way to find Saul.

Leux |

Wait, wait. I know I am out of chips just guide me out good sirs as he walks out he pulls his fiddle and in a somber mood starts to walk to the door and starts playing a dirge the notorious funeral march to sort of do a distraction perform strings 1d20+11=30 all the while searching for his companions perception1d20+5=17

And you all hear several wepeons being drawn and a shout Get down on the grounds folks and this will be easy!
Sorry for going almost an entire day without a post

Kratos |

YAY, a hold up
If not blinded kratos will hide under a table
stealth 10, not very good at hiding..oh she gets a +4 for small so 14

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Will save 1d20=19 . Lucky I rolled high since my modifier is zip.
DM
Not that I think it'll make a difference given my roll, but does the fact I'm bent over behind a bounders table with my eyes closed make a difference to the save, or was my action too slow to protect me? cheers

Narnel Gallion |

Narnel turns from the gnome to follow the red streak of light with his eyes, trying to catch just what spell was cast. Spellcraft 1d20+9=24
(Presumably) guessing at the effect just before it happens, he tries to turn his head and shield his eyes, though maybe not fast enough. Will 1d20+2=14

Rorsius |

Rorsius moves swiftly to the other side of the desk before grabbing Saul and slamming him into the desk forcefully , sending gold coins flying every which way.His ears perk up as he hears the drawing of weapons and other commotion in the next room."What do you know? What are you up top Saul!?" Exclaimed his gravely voice. His eyes flickered wildly as his face was twisted into a frightening scowl.Intimidate 1d20+7=27
Huzzah Natural 20!

Leux |

will save1d20+4=17 tries to close eyes in time and hits the ground and tries to draw his rapier

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Jean-Paul heard the spell go off, and even glimpsed the increased brightness as a pattern of red splothces through his closed eyelids. Smiling to himself at his good fortune in spotting the trouble, he drew his longsword and shortsword, but stayed crouched behind the table. He carefully peered aound the legs of the game table, looking to where he saw the lady and her thuggish companions earlier.
Perception - 1d20=18; Stealth - 1d20+1=2 plus whatever mods he gets for being low and behind the table. Probably still gets spotted though I'm guessing hehe. Gotta love those natural 1's.

As the flash of light bursts out Zareby who sadly had not been blinking at the time is blinded along with 3 of the bouncers and almsot all the crowd is blinded (no one else is blinded just Zareby)
the crowd start shrieking most of them drop to the ground but atleast a quater of them start running towards the exists, and even one or two try and grab a money puch or silver ornament, one man even grabs a ghoulette wheel.
The heist seems to be led by this woman and wizard along with four thugs
all roll for inititive please
The wizard charges out of the lavatories pushing past the screaming crowd to the chest in the centre
The one eyed Woman similiarly go's for the chest and floors a bouncer with a fist to the side of the head She's holding a rapier in the other hand
two thugs runs over to a ghoulette table and starts grabing money from the patrons near it
the other two run randomly into the crowd acasionly throwing a punch and mostly stealing money pouches

Zareby Grenache |

Zareby cries out in shock as he is blinded by the light. He hides his eyes behind his arm and takes off the glove from his right hand, revealing that his fingernails are longer and more pointed than they should be. He begins chanting in a harsh, hissing language while he waves his hand in front of him, and a disc of force can be seen briefly.
If you speak Draconic, he was speaking random nonsense. Casting Shield. Init: 1d20+2=12

Jean-Paul d'Austaire |

Initiative - 1d20+3=13
Jean-Paul moves to intercept the girl with the eyepatch and rapier. She looks to be a leader and pretty good with that blade. Hopefully one of the bouncers Or maybe one of the other patrons will take out the wizard before he can cast anything else.
I'm off to a live game today, and tomrrow is easter so doing lots of family stuff. If I don't get a chance to post in time for intitiative etc, Jean-Paul will try to engage the girl. Feel free to run him as you see fit Apathy as I don't want to slow the pace of the game down. Cheers.

Narnel Gallion |

Narrowly turning his head away just as the blast of the spell goes off, Narnel frowns a bit and glances around in surprise. He presses himself back against the wall to try and not get trampled by anyone fleeing the building. As he glances around to try and take in who seems to be involved in this and where his new friends are in the confusion.
For never having been in a fight before, he's surprised by how clear headed he manages to stay, taking everything in quickly in his logical way.1d20+2=21
I'll watch how initiative is coming up and let you know just what I do since it looks like I'm going to be one of the first to act. Is the woman armored up or anything? And how much of a penalty would I be with a ray through the crowd? Finally, while the thugs are looting to they seem to be staying fairly close to each other, or did they seperate for different tables?

![]() |

Ok here it is!
Inititive order
Narnel
Jean-paul
Zareby
Rorsius
Leux
them 5
Leux and Rorsius are both exactly the same with the same inititive so i rolled again for them to speed things up Leux rorsius
The thugs all split up to different tables, the woman is whering leather armor and there will be a minus 4 penalty for the crowd, youc an tie him up with your silk rope if you like or use his own belt to tie his hands?

Narnel Gallion |

Hmm, ok that makes it rough. Leather armor means reduce person probably wouldn't hurt her that much, probably couldn't hit with a ray of enfeeblement with the crowd, the thugs splitting up spoils grease... Ok, lets give this hand of the apprentice a shot. It doesn't look like Rashimi or Kratos have got their initiative up yet, so assuming they don't go first, or at least don't drop the lady or yell for me to do something different, I'll do this below.
Narnel focuses his gaze on the one-eyed woman, and as he does so an etheral elven hand appears, drawing his sword from its sheath and whisking it towards her, swiping sharply but widely, missing the woman. 1d20+5=7
I figured a 7 missed her, even if she is flat-footed. That was my hand of the apprentice power(first level as a universalist wizard) and I figure I'll be using it fairly often until I get more spells so I don't burn out so easily. Basically it acts as mage hand, but can draw a weapon as a free action and make an attack at a target within 30ft using my Int, but it doesn't threaten and can't flank. If I stop concentrating on it it returns the weapon to my sheath and winks out.

Kratos |

19 init, that should place me 2nd.
Takeing aim at the wizard from under her table Kratos mutters "Besmara lend me your fury" and unleashes a storm bust at the wizard.
22 to hit, 2 damage, info in my profile
she will move closer if she needs to do so
