The boards were down for most of the day yesterday. It's happened to me before, but never really found out why.
Hope your feeling better Apathy. Tell me, was it a self induced illness? possibly a consequence of the concert you attended (hehe). Good to see you back on your feet.
Oh, and Kayos and Memento, that was pretty deep conversation you two monks had. Kayos, have you done studies in Hindu caste systems or was that just a general undestanding of things? Any way, made for some great reading.
Cheers

The boards went down probably due to WOTC all of a suddent put essientally a cease and dessist order out for all PDF documents. Paizo customers were allowed to buy untill midnight of 4-6/4-7 pst. and download only untill noon pst on the 7. But yeah that slowed me down also. There was utter outrage all day yesterday because of it. That and my character is a personable person and we kinda went out seperate ways I guess in the tournament.

Yeah, the boards had these problems before when the beta first went up and there was a sudden flood of traffic. I suspect it might have gotten hit hard because of the WotC announcement and a lot of people who aren't normally on the forums were trying to voice their anger over it.
I was able to peek on and off throughout the day, but it was definitely down most of the time. I wasn't complaining that we slowed down, I just figured piping in about that would get our chatter going again.

Narnel Gallion |

Just out of curiosity, is anyone else in the party planning on being pretty light-armored? I figure that buff would help the monks a lot should anything pop up, and I know I could have used one for myself(but I plan on standing behind people who look like they won't die if glared at forcefully for the time being). Just will give me a better idea of what sort of spells I should prep to give boosts to people.

Leux, is a bard doesn't want to try the arcane failure to much so light armor right now wearing studded leather. I probably will be around Narnel if battle really picks up since bard abilities an whatnot. I am trying to be a dex guy so i could be like a shield for you. Also, question if I loose all my tokens am I kicked out of the Goblin or just ushered to the nonplayer's bar?

Narnel Gallion |

Sounds like we are going to have an overall really light armor wearing group, since I am guessing our two weapon fighter is going to go pretty light armor too. A wand of mage armor at some point might be a total blessing, since even at 1st level it still lasts an hour and at least 4 of us are going to want it cast on us before any given set of combats.
Just means we'll have to pick and choose who needs it until we are a bit more powerful, since I would burn my whole level list and my bonded item just to give it to the 4 people who would get the full benefit from it, no less the others who are wearing some armor but would still get a +2 or so out of it.
This just gives credence to Narnel accepting he's not much in terms of a fight and passing out that buff to others.

I do have dodge, and could pick up a buckler later on. right now big wish is mw chain shirt because I could always go supression fire role with my bow later on with the right feats of course but now I am content with the back row.

A mixture really, past knowledge, some general understanding, reading the Vudrani article in the campaign setting several times and rereading some stuff on Hindu caste systems. I'm having fun with it, it helps me round out Rashmi as a character to remember her motivations and outlooks :)

Fair enough. I haven't got the campaign setting, though i think I should get it since I've got a 35% discount on PDF's at the moment. I also don't know alot about the caste system. Just some things I've read and some conversations with students from out that way that I've had the chance to teach. It's interesting stuff from an outsiders perspective.
Enjoying this game. The pace is great, so I've always got plenty of reading material. Haven't really got into my character properly yet though. I'm still trying to some aspects of his personality out. Enjoying it though, especially since we're probably about to have a fight and that's what Jean-Paul does.
Cheers

maybe percise shot might be a good investment. :)
Also Happy Belated Easter for those of you in Australia. And happy easter for everyone else
on another note. I am looking to get into running a game in real life any ideas on a good AP to pick up and please don't say second darkness don't want to run it until either we get done with the first chapter here so I don't get the spoilers before we get to them here.

Well, I've finished running RotRL for my RL group and they definitely enjoyed it, its a great way to introduce them to the pathfinder world as it takes them all across varisia. We are most of the way through CotCT at the moment and that seems to be going over well if your group likes an urban adventure(the 4th and 5th books take you elsewhere, but everything else is set in korvosa).
Both of those are RP heavy and rather dungeon light, for the most part(the 5th book in CotCT may as well be a dungeon, but beyond that its almost all event based). If your group prefers the heavier dungeons to go along with their RP, I would also totally recommend the Shackled City Adventure Path. That is out in hardback form now and is a lot of fun, I know that by the time we had finished that one the group was wanting to play Age of Worms and Savage tide and the other guy in the group who runs games sometimes picked up a copy of his own just to read through it.

Nothing to appologize for Apathy. DMing is tough at the best of times let alone in a PbP. You're doing a great job.
As for enjoying it, I've won some moeny at gambling, cracked on to a hot succubi girl with a promise of things to come, and scored a critical hit in my first fight. What's not to enjoy!!
Cheers

I very much like this group. We have a good balance of rp being done here. Also since tax day is upon us here in the states I will have a hard time posting for the next couple of days, between work, school, and work I am going to be pushed for time and endurance, maybe I should take a check to see if I can keep it going for the next 48 hours, now how do I do that again.

Woodraven |

heh, sorry about the belt I over looked we where in a diff room now and ment to get the other wizards belt, but this is fun too :)
well if my pants drop out of nowhere in the middle of battle I will be looking for Kraytos, or somebody loves practical jokes with mage hand.
Here's a thought could someone use open/close on a belt buckle, and require a concentration check or lose the spell? You know a wizard ready to cast a spell and in the middle of combat go Is there a draft in here sorry my mind wander's to strange topic when at work and sleep deprived.

Narnel Gallion |

No worries Seeker, Narnel will just have to be extra cautious around you from now on.
And it makes me sad that I know this, woodraven, but if I recall correctly there was a spell in the book of erotic fantasy called 'disrobe' that was something similar to that, though its primary purpose was to remove opponents armor in combat.
