You might be able to get some of our freelancers (Nick Logue, Richard Pett, and Rob McReary come to mind, since all three were at Gen Con UK last year). I do not think actual members of the Paizo staff flying out to England is in the cards this year, though.

Actually, it's looking like I might be at Paizocon US this year... :)

Oh? Are you one of the to-be-announced "special guests" hinted by Mr. Frost? ;-)

I wonder if Boomer drinks beer?

Boomer drinks many things, including beer. When he was in town for our road trip to VCON, I took him to Pioneer Square to a couple of places and then (per his request) to... ummm... another establishment on 1st Avenue which he wished to explore.

So... if you are fixin' to curry favor with the Booms by purchasing him a frosty beverage, I am sure he would not turn it down.

You better be going to Gen Con (US) 2009...!!! If so.. We can split a room :-)

Well, I have "Peasant Magic" that allows me to brew my own Beer. Should have like 5-6 different ones ready to drink near June.

Planning world domination is evidently much easier than I thought if you don't need a break from it... :D

If... no make that when we have a time and place fixed on, who should we ideally use as a touchstone at Paizo to pester for email addresses of contributors, autographing of T-Shirts, last certified PFS event in Europe status, etc, or to keep updated of any/all plans? You, Josh, anyone???

PaizoCon! WOOT!

Okay, thank-you for the clarification. :)

Curious, booking through the website leaves me wondering if there is a promotional code that I need to get the correct room rates. Must everyone call?

Did you get the $129/night rate when you booked through the website? So far as I know, you have to call to get our special rate.

The Exchange

I did not book yet, because I couldn't get that rate. However, there was a promo code spot, just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here first.

Josh:
Thinking ahead what sort of licensing do we need for PaizoCon UK 2009 if we want to use PFS faction symbols and so forth on any promotional material or PaizoCon UK 2009 related webpages elsewhere on the web? I'm unclear if we would be covered by a fan license given that we need to charge for tickets to cover our expenses.

Hi Josh,

How do I do that? I've tried sending emails about Paizocon UK to your paizo email address but no response so I'm not sure if they are getting through. What is the best way to get in touch with you?

I am not the licensing guy. I've forwarded the request to the licensing guys. I've also received multiple requests from multiple parties and I'm not able to respond to everyone. This is being discussed, I promise. It's outside of both of our licenses so decisions need to be made regarding things I'm not in charge of (IE, licenses.) Patience, please.

Great. I just needed to now that messages had been getting through. Thanks for replying Josh. Just to point out that regarding multiple requests about PaizoCon UK, I'm the one who is leading on this so any communication should be sent my way (paizoconuk[at]hotmail.com)or my personal email address.

Thanks.

I was just curious, do we have to bring our own d21's for the PFRPG events, or will some be provided?

Thanks!

Wow, things got quiet over here! We still have tickets available for PAIZOCON 2009! Tell your friends! Tell your family! Tell your family's friends! Tell your game group! Tell your favorite postal employee! Extra exclamation points!!

I plan to have our event sign-ups go live in early May. I'm giving everyone extra time to make the decision to buy tickets before event sign-ups go live. Once they go live, it'll be harder to sign up for event as space is limited. Don't hesitate--get your tickets today!

Anybody from Paizo want to send a letter to my commanding officer telling him that my presence at PaizoCon 2009 is a requirement that trumps the ship's mission requirements?

For those who cannot make the Seattle event, but might be able to make a convention a month or so later, inspired by our american cousins we are hosting the first PaizoCon UK on the 11th & 12th July in Birmingham (UK). *Website Link*

OK, OK ... I give. I bought the ticket.

It was those extra exclamation points that did it, you know. ;)

Just reserved my room earlier today and came upon a lower price deal through their site. The catch is it is a PRE-PAY, NON-REFUNDABLE arrangement, but it does save a chunk of change. Started a separate thread when I made the reservation.

What's the current time frame for event sign-up? Just curious.
