While I'm waiting to see if my group try to repair their boat or setoff inland, I have another thing to worry about. The party wizard has the permanency scroll from the Thunderer and has decided to make his favourite spell permanent. Arcane Sight!
Now I'm all for charactes being good at stuff and I'm not going to say no just because it makes things tricky for me. I am, however, wondering how spooky Olangru's tricks will be if he has this spell on all the time.
(Since he could justifiably cast it any time while being hunted/ haunted, it's something to think about anyway.)
How would this affect, say, the illusions the Big O creates?

Don't forget that Arcane Sight has a 120 foot range, so as long as Orlangru's illusions are a fair distance away (an easy task for the illusion of the Olman priest throwing himself off the cliff) some of them will work just fine. Also, don't be afriad to let him see that they are illusions sometimes. It can still be freaky, and make him wonder just who is casting the spells.
The only possible problem I foresee is if Orlangru tries to sneak around them with invisiblity and the PC spots his magical aura. I can recommend one change that I added. I replaced one of his feats with Brachiate (it seemed an obvious choice). He can now move through trees at his speed and use his considerable hiding skills to pester the PC's without resorting to invisibility.
Just my thoughts. Good luck!

Uh, in order to perceive a magical aura, one has to be able to perceive what is emanating that aura.
Otherwise why have See Invisibility as a level 2 spell as compared to the Cantrip?
And in the dead of night, coupled with heavy shrubbery concealment and/or cover and invisibility AND a disgustingly high Stealth (Hide/Move Silently) bonus, Olangru is a deadly foe to confront in his chosen field of battle. Combined with at will telekinesis and you have a foe that could pretty easily slaughter them all at a whim in the outdoors jungle hell of the Isle of Dread.

Plus, I’m of the mind to have players experience the full consequence of their actions. Arcane Sight “makes your eyes glow blue...” How will the Olmans react to this character with glowing eyes? How will the inhabitants of Farshore react, for that matter? What will Lavina think given what’s happening to her brother (especially after ToD)?

Good question. How does this spell differ from "Detect Magic?"
Now that I think about it, why WOULD you see a magical aura from an invisible creature. It is, after all, invisible. The "spirit" of the spell seems to be for looking at treasure to determine which items are mundane and which are magic. I don't think it's intended to negate invisibility (or illusions of any kind, for that matter).
Even if you do deterine that the mage can see the invisibility aura - I don't think that gives him "line of sight," for Magic Missile or what have you. Further, it doesn't help the other characters much, either.

I see no reason why someone can't use detect magic or arcane sight to see an invisible character's magic aura. Invisibility hides someone from sight, but it doesn't mask you from detection spells. Under the previous assumption, they wouldn't even show up on other spells like locate creature or detect evil.
I think a PC can use arcane sight to see an invisibility's aura, but he wouldn't neccasrily know what spell it is or if it's an invisible creature or not; he would only see the location, the strength, and the school of the aura. He wouldn't see Orlangru, or even be able to use arcane sight's other more powerful use, the discerning of another's spellcasting power.
That's my take, anyway.
I suppose my point is moot anyway, since Orlangru's superb stealth skills make invisiblity a secondary option, anyway. :/
