Fables

I found this article on the Sci-fi Channel's website talking about a TV series based on DC's Fables comic series.

I love the series itself - Bill Willingham is a fantastically creative writer who really knows how to tell a good story. I just don't think that Hollywood can do the series justice.

Thoughts?

Wow..."Fables" in the hands of Disney (ABC).

I doubt this show will stick very close to the comics plot-wise. More likely they're just borrowing the setting and characters to tell their own stories, maybe with the occasional nod to the comics continuity. I'm not sure if that's something I'd enjoy or not.

There's an actress on the new TNT show "Leverage" who would make an excellent Goldilocks, I think...Beth Riesgraf, who plays the cat burglar Parker.

And as Snow White...Sarah Michelle Gellar with a dye job.

It scares me, though the Tinman moving was pretty good. Maybe not as scarey as it could be. But still Disney... :sigh:

The Fables series is quite possibly my favorite comic book series of all time. I hope they can do the series justice.
