Liberty's Edge

Anyone watching this? It's kind of a UK version of The Stand.

Link

Here's an interesting link that shows where King may have gotten the idea for his novel. The original show aired in the UK before King published The Stand.

Scarab Sages

I think I saw the original Terry Nation series on PBS when I was in high school. The series was more about how humanity reacts to and finally adapts to life in a world with less than a million people. Jeremiah would be a closer analogy to Survivor than the Stand.

What is Jeremiah?

Scarab Sages

Jerimiah was a short run show staring Luke Perry. The setting took place in a world where a man made plauge killed all the adults. Think lord of the flies but world wide not just an island.

Liberty's Edge

I just noticed, in the first episode, there's a copy of The Stand in Price's cell. Luckily, the jailer lets him out before he eats his cellmate...

Scarab Sages

I don't think it's being shown in the U.S. yet. I check it out when available.
