See that hits on my non good, and especially on my non lawful radars. Giving them over to a crowd is not justice, especially without a trial. While Bean wouldn't mind seeing them get something like that, it does cause the worry about what the people will do after, and that another riot/mob may cause further problems/ get the banites involved again in subduing people. However stopping them from reproducing and removing their ability to enjoy the act of it doesn't necessarily hurt them in the long term, and doesn't cause a huge ruckus either. Subtle, and I don't think these types of 'men' would really be the ones to complain out loud that their functions don't work properly anymore either.

Ah a sunite viewpoint, however for those people who depend on this place not to suffer as a result of our interference we'll need to ask them to take over the running of this business and hope they don't fall prey to the same vices as the current administration

Agreed. Not that I'm adverse to them getting their just due in addition to the above, I don't see throwing them to a crowd as a great idea (they could even escape).

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Course you could just hand them over to the watch

Yes Mostly Human Geek 12/ Mountain Biker 8

Are we sitting here philosophizing over the sleeping form of an unbound enemy? Yes, yes we are. Keen is on the edge of killing them all. His rage is burning fiercely now.

Seeker, are you going to handwave the non-lethal bit from the paladin?

GM

Yeah I am but, heh it was a most interesting read.

Reg hovering over the sleeping form cover the mans mouth and as he stirred brings his hilt down quickly to send the man back to sleep. Tying him with his blankets keeps him out of the way of the coming events as the group is left standing looking at the light coming from under the door. Shadows move as who ever is in there paces the room.

Reg move's toward the door followed by Celena , Keen then Bean. As the door is pushed opened you get your first look at what lay's inside. A single large desk stands in the eastern part of this large office, transformed into a makeshift bed by a bedroll and several blankets and pillows. A table and three chairs sit to the West; several papers lie strewn over the table’s surface and a chamberpot sits under it. One of the papers is pinned to the tabletop by an exquisite silver dagger. A Man Paces by the tables. He is a handsome man who wears Korvosan Guard livery and armor. He looks weary, tired- the look of a make with to much on his mind and little sleep.He looks to be unarmed but a Bow and a spear lay on the table near by, this is the man from this morning.
"He turns as you come in and with a look of anger says "You!" in an venomous tone

Init

Reg=8
Vancaskerkin=7
Hakeem=4
Bean=3
Celena=1

Actions?

M Human Sorcerer 1

Most likely Vankerskin will have his weapon in hand by the time I acts so I'm going to cast grease on his weapon.

Reg moves rapidly intercepting the former guard from his weapons and makes sure the others have a clear line of sight on this foe.

Raising his axe Reg approaches the former guard.
"Yield here and now and you get to stand and face your superior with whatever honour you have left, any trouble and I solemnly promise to drag you to them by your heels," Reg growls quietly.

Intimidate 1d20+4: 15+4 for a total of 19.

GM

Are you trying to demoralize him?, and I made your AoO

just a quick question before I go -- Reg went before Van in the first round of combat, on a charge from what I understand. Van is flat footed, unarmed, and being charged. Charging prevents the AoO unless Van had readied an action, if I recall right you can't AoO while flat footed. I don't mind the unarmed part so much, as the weapon is close to hand and he could have the quick draw feat, however I'm not understanding the AoO. In the future would you prefer such questions be asked in OOC mode, or in the discussion thread (or not at all ;D).

GM

Well Reg did not charge I don't think, he just moved 10 feet. The AoO's was Regs as Van provoked it by grabbing the weapon. I rolled it for him save time, I normly do that. sorry should have wored that better but my OSP hates me and it took 7 tries to post that lol

Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2

Oh, that makes much more sense ok I'm good sorry.

GM

Nah don't be sorry, If I am not clear or You think I did something wrong, ask. I am still tying to learn all the changes and juggling a few d20 games. So I may get something wrong. We are learning together

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena draws herself to her (Not all that impressive)full Height and in as powerful a voice as she can muster "In the name of The korvosan Guard you are under arrest for the crimes of desertion, Murder, Kidnapping of a member of the watch and whatever the hells selling parts of people as food falls under."

"Does inciting a riot with malicious intent count as another charge?" Reg asks curiously.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"I guess so." Celena mentions not sounding entirely sure "I'll check to make certain later."

Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2

Bean keeps quiet but casts Guidance on Celena.

GM

will give Celena and Keen till I log on in the morning to act b4 I NPC them and move this along

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena will take a ready action (If the man continues to make a fight of it Celena will attack)

Yes Mostly Human Geek 12/ Mountain Biker 8

We're still in the first round right? I am going to stick with what I said above, cast grease on his spear. (Sorry haven't posted the rebuild yet just slow)

GM

Yes round 1 still him and reg had acted .

GM

Keen casts his spell greasing the spear, or trying to yet Vancaskerkin holds it firm in his grip. Bean calls upon Sune to guide Celena as the gnome moves forward and ready s herself for vancaskerkin's next attack.

"Lies!" He calls " WE were helping!"

Reg=8
Vancaskerkin=7
Hakeem=4
Bean=3
Celena=1

I moved Celena up near Reg so she could use her action if Vancaskerkin attacks.

Yes Mostly Human Geek 12/ Mountain Biker 8

"Perhaps in the morning you can explain to the people who show up here in a few hours how you were helping them by feeding them human flesh?"

GM

Anyone like to go this round?

M Human Sorcerer 1

Keen spits at Vankerskin "What kind of foul creatures carve up humans as food?"

Does his spear have reach?
If Vankerskin attacks Reg Keen is going to move into the room almost opposite Reg and try to angle close enough to get Vankerskin with burning hands. If he can't safely get him with burning hands Keen will use the wand of magic missiles again.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Well we've tried talking if you wont listen we will have to do this the old fashioned way"

Using ready action to attack

1 d 20 + 5=21

Damage

1 d 6 + 2=8

Male Chessentan human Paladin/Rogue 1st/1st

Sorry missed this earlier but Reg had an AOO that missed and he took 10 damage from Vancasterskin's spear? if thats the case wouldn't Reg have had his normal attack?

GM

You moved more then 5 feet and took a standard action. You did get an AoO , which you did not hit with

Male Chessentan human Paladin/Rogue 1st/1st

Okay, Reg's next action is to try and use the blunt end of his axe to inflict subdual damage on his foe, unfortunately his smite evil has now activated: 1d20+3-4+1 (if whats his name is evil I believe you have mentioned him as the one goading the crowd) for a natural 20, unfortunately the confirming roll is a total of 3 (rolled a 3 if the smite doesn't work) so the damage roll is 1d8+2+1: 2+2+1 for 5 points of subdual damage unless you rule the smite counts as lethal but I don't know if this is actually possible to do subdual damage with the reverse of his axe

Reg winces in pain at the jabbing spear's blow.
Unseen both of his worn holy symbols' glow with a blue and red aura which noticeably spreads out across his body as it reaches his axe arm as he reverses his axe to strike at Vandercaster its edge literally crackling with an aura of static electricity.
Reg shifts his guard up and maneuvers to let the others get their attacks in knowing he can't take this foe down alone.
The shimmering seems to fade, but Reg focuses on his opponent remaining unaware that the others can now see his two glowing holy symbols and that he isn't reacting to the effect at all.

Reg is unaware he has activated his smite ability, I believe this foe is the one who goaded the crowd and had a direct hand in Euphengina's death and whilst Reg is keen to take him in alive the above knowledge has unknowingly kicked in his ability just as it did when he faced Gaedren

GM: The two holy symbols' is just for effect only any idea what colour is favoured by the Red Knight?

GM

Reg not the same man that egged the crowd on. He is dead with an ax to the back of his head thanks to the gnome. This man was there but only after the fight broke out. Also your smite does not work on him. Oh and The red knight favors red in her colors :)

Reg moves forward to strike at v with the flat side of his axe, doing little damage. Who slashes at Reg with his spear6 hp His spear seems slippy in his hands but he holds firm. Celena Gives hims a slash with her sword as Keen moves into the room and let's loose with a cone of fire which licks the walls of the room, singes the table and flames exposed papers. Little fires spark and die under the fiery arc.. Bean calls upon the power of Sune and her loving warth fills Rag, healing some of his wounds +6 hp

Reg=8
Vancaskerkin=7
Hakeem=4
Bean=3
Celena=1

New round folks I went for bean, had him CLW reg

Exactly what I was going to do, just arrived too late sorry. Um... I believe I am out of first level spells now, so I'll Aid Other for Reg's AC I guess, blocking incoming blows as I can.

Much obliged, by the way given the characters have been converted over to Pathfinder rpg is character hp equal to their HD+Con modifier now instead of adding a racial hp bonus? Sorry of this has been asked before

GM

Leave Hp as they are now. We will rework everything one you guys level. After this fight you will be level 2. At that point we will make everything all legal, more or less

Female Gnome Paladin 5

How Obvious is that Reg tried to smite evil the guy? If it is something that is not very obvious Celena will continue to hack away normally If not she will hold back a bit and try to knock the guy out

Attack

1 d 20 + 4=22

18 If she goes the non-lethal route

Damage

1 d 6 + 2=3

GM

Anyone else want to go this round:), Also Regs smite glowed for a brief moment red but then faded before his blade struck

M Human Sorcerer 1

Keen uses his wand of Magic Missiles on Vankerskin.

1d4+1 » + 3 [+1] = 4

GM

Reg strikes again at Vancaskerkin but the man doges aside,he brings his spear back to strike at Reg but with bean's help he dodges the blow. As Keens magic blasts into him,Celena gives him a slap with the flate of her blade.

Hurting and outnumbered Vancaskerkin sinks to his knees his spear falling from his hands "You ruined everything' He says quietly as he hangs his head in defeat.

Now what?

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Trust me what we ruined wasn't very nice to begin with if what your two friends downstairs were doing is anything to go by." Celena pulls the spear away from him as she speaks

GM

He looks at the hafling confused. "We were helping people !" He yells.

Cough Gnome Cough

"Well please tell how kidnapping me was helping people? or what your two friends were doing downstairs?"

GM

Gnome, halfling same thing :)

Seeming confused he looks at you and says "Kidnapping, what the hells are you talking about.'

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Some of your Associates walloped me in the back of the head and left me hanging from a hook in a storeroom like a piece of meat. Unless things have have changed since yesterday that is generally considered kidnapping"

M Human Sorcerer 1

"Kidnapping, also cannibalism. What sort of monsters are you people." Keen manages to resist lashing out at the guy but instead looks away. "Dogs like you should be put down. The only reason I don't kill you right now is the bounty on your head and the knowledge that you will be put in prison to rot."

Keen's rage threatens to boil over again but he calms a bit.

"You guys bind this... monster. I would likely kill him for what they did to Euphegenia."

Keen wrote:

Using detect evil focused on him

GM

He seems really confused " cannibalism? What the hells are you talking about, this kidnapping seems like a way to cover your own ares after you caused that riot this morning and kill my men!" He says defiantly

Celena

Spoiler:

The man does not carry the taint of evil about him

While we are doing this go ahead and start leveling to level 2 and switching over to the finished rules. We will be switching to the normal HP as well

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Nope not getting anything off him and I'm pretty sure if he was directly involved in what happened in the Kitchen (Or whatever that room was) I would be able to feel it."

GM

If everyone is ready we can cut scene and move along if ya like, or we can RP this more, up to you
