My thoughts: he and Jax are the only two to make it back. To Garroth, this is a complete and utter disgrace, so when he and Jax are drowning their sorrows at the base tavern (or similar facility), another (semi-inebriated) Black Cap makes an off-hand comment to the two. At which point Garroth proceeds to beat him to (near?) death. Guards come, he's thrown in the brig, and that's where we start. A little bit of a trope, I know, but I think it would be fun to see if he can maintain his lawful discipline in light of his failure and hatred of the enemy ...

I vote to start right after the escape, because it agrees with my backstory. I was thinking that my character could have been put in the brig or something, though. Not sure.
I would also vote for option 2. It's just a little less confusing. I have my character almost finished, and will have her info typed in tonight. Sorry for the delay. Between the kid getting into trouble at school last week and my husband's birthday this last weekend, it's been crazy here. Well, it's always crazy here, but this was crazy even for here.:)

Thanks for the welcome Bryan. I'm looking forward to my first ever Eberron game. I know absolutely nothing about the setting, so I'll probably have all kinds of questions once we get started. Prepare to be pestered.:)

Actually, when I started this PbP (and his Savage Tide PbP set in Eberron), I was in your exact shoes. I have only the various DRAGON magazine articles plus Seeker's provided info. But he's been excellant with providing details when we need them - feats, spells, background, etc. So pester away!

I'm assuming it has more to do with the fact that this game is in Pathfinder Beta, and the base races have gotten a minor power-up. The kobold, meanwhile, has not.
Also, I'm fine with either 1 or 2.

Nah it was mostly do to the fact I have seen no less then 5 kobold write ups and I wanted to know the bases of yours.... I 'll update it to pathfinder now that I know

-4 str, +2 dex +2 wis
I will leave the str at -4 just as it's kinda a flavor thing, but the neg con is gone . I also gave them a bump to wis as they are known as miners and trapssmiths...so much like a drawf they get a wis bump

heh If it works ya might bring it up to the high command, as airships are less then 30 years old many tricks have not been made standard practice yet. After all you seem to be standing on the first pure bombing craft
