Eee, well, I'll go t' foot of our stairs, our Devlin.

Sorry, random Yorkshire-ism.

Incomer :D

My Grasping Shadows plan backfired :(

It happens. Hey, I thought jumping out in front of the prison battle would be motivation enough to inspire my koboldian brethern to join in. Alas, it was not so. They turned out to be really hard to conjole into helping with their own freedom. Stupid kobolds. I am all for hunting the dirty old man after we get finished with Thoran and company.

That grasping trick would have been better if the shadows actually grasped the people in the burst, instead of just slowing them down. immobilization, I think, is the effect you were looking for. it is times like this that i miss the old hold person spell. before the 3.5E nerf.

Grimy, disreputable and reliably dishonest, yes. Old, no. Devlin is in his early 30s. Whether he makes it to his 33rd birthday depends on how fast he can run.

Male Human Geek 10

Yeah, but Snaggletooth is a kobold, and trust me, 30 is old for a kobold. :)

And so the end draws nigh.

First and most important, my grateful thanks to you all for making this so much fun to run. You're a wonderful group of players and it has been a privilege to DM for you all.

For those of you continuing on, I'll have a new thread up this evening (UK time) and you can start building the new pcs (if you're rebuilding them) or re-tooling the existing ones. It might be necessary to take a hard look at party balance if Caine turns into a straight up fighter type. We're losing Cronin I believe, so that will leave you dependent on Leo for healing. Someone might want to multi-class.

Fabes and Pat - you'll be much missed, but thank you both once more for playing. Either or both of you are completely welcome to change your minds at any time :D

Thanks all. Fairwind's going to go where the deer and the antelope play and leave this crazy bunch behind. :D

Shadow Lodge

It's been fun. Looking forward to more!

Fabes, Pat always a pleasure gaming with you guys. You're characters'll be missed

Into the Blue, your all new Faerunean foray, starts here

Thanks all, and thank you, Rev, for convincing me just to do a hiatus so Cronin could come back for the climax!

I'm on other games with most of you, so be seeing you.

Since you aced the last skill challenge, Lady Saheral came through with some extremely funky magic items for you all. Please check the final DM post on the Spellgard game thread to examine your gifts and update them into your profiles.

Once more, many thanks to you all and CONGRATULATIONS! You did the near impossible and finished a pbp adventure :D

I'll move across to Into the Blue from now on, but I'll check back here occasionally in case anyone surfaces and can't find us all.

I thought she merely upgraded the items we already had, was that the case or does Leo still have a +1 longsword?

Strange I actually thought we were going to bite the big one in that last encounter, going to be interesting to see what happens next though!

Human

Upgrades was what I had in mind really, as that seems substantially more mystical than the clank of weaponry fallng from the ceiling.

Naturally there was a good chance some of you would die. It wouldn't be a decent final encounter if it was easy, now would it? I was seriously impressed with how much damage you sucked up between you though. Good fight.
