I have been sitting back quietly enjoying the products Paizo produces for a long time now. I got a charter subscription to Pathfinder when Dragon and Dungeon left the fold.
The quality of the products Paizo creates is an amazing value for the money. Both in content and in materials. The new campaign setting is incredible. The list of contributors reads like a who's who in gaming.
I cannot wait to pick up the Beta Pathfinder book at Gencon in a few days. (And anything else they have on display that I cannot live without!Cosmo does an amazing job in customer support. The few issues I have had were resolved almost immediately. Eric Mona is very informative when he posts. Paizo folks get involved in the forums which I think is awesome. The answer peoples questions on a routine basis. These guys are true gamers.
Lisa Stevens: Congratulations on a fantasic team. Go ahead and plan on selling me at least one of everything you guys produce!!!
To sum it up, "Paizo Just Gets It!!!"
Great job.
Couldn't agree more.
Paizo delivers outstanding stuff, with great art and overall quality and has a veritable superstar cast of authors/contributors/developers.The CotCT AP is simply the best campaign I've ever seen, Golarion is full of marvel and potential, the staff is keeping us customers informed and comfortable with a continuous barrage of information.
Customer care couldn't be greater; not a single shipment lost, even with international hassles and whatnots.
I'm currently recovering from a bad case of trigeminal neuralgia (it hurts like hell! Zon-Kuthon would be very pleased!), and module LB1 along the August boatload of stuff is a great way to spend some much needed good time.

I just have to take my hat off to a company that is nimble enough to jump when it is time to jump, and speak when it is time to speak.
I have grown used to being surprised by you guys every three months. This past year was like a revelation in gaming, and it was all from Paizo. You guys were supposed to be submissive followers to "the world's most popular roleplaying" trendsetters, not striking leaders in retooling the current system. I cannot imagine why someone would let you all out of the cage. You may as well turn off the electric fence in the velicoraptor pen (bloody arm hanging off the power switch and all).
I really can't believe there are employees at Paizo reading this right now. Someone wake me up.
Cheers,
Zuxius

My gaming library, lovingly compiled over the years, combined with my husband's and expanded greatly during our marriage (nearly 22 years and still going!) fills up three and a half bookcases. And one and a half of that is all D&D, AD&D and various incarnations through the decades.4E is not among them.
Congrats! The husband and I are just reaching our 10th. We collected everything D&D until 3.5, then we slowed down a bit and got into 3rd party stuff. We hadn't realized how poor the quality of some WotC products was until we looked at some other offerings. We have a huge collected of Scarred Lands, DCC, and Necromancer Games. But our new love is Paizo. Paizo rescued us when we thought we had lost our favorite game.
I guess that's the long way of saying "I'm with you, sister".
Oh, and I'm relatively new...don't suppose I could have one of those cookies...please?

Dont mean to throw porridge on the love fest but the editing for the guide to Darkmoon Vale was a little hit & miss
You're not wrong. But to restate, "Some tasks that use to be real problems are tons easier now, some projects that needed love are all hugs and extra help." I'm not going to get into excuses here, but don't expect Darkmoon Vale to be par for the course in any regard.

Honestly, though, it's still true. We keep finding out how to make things run smoother. Some tasks that use to be real problems are tons easier now, some projects that needed love are all hugs and extra help, Pathfinder's actually on schedule, we got new comfier leg shackles for our desks, etc etc. So yeah, every day the suck quotient gets a little bit closer to reaching that hypothetical 0 and we're not going to stop reaching. At least not until we put out the PERFECT RPG book.. like, The Pathfinder's Guide to the Dragon-Drow-Demon-pocolypse Adventure Path 900-page hardcover, boxed set, hologram (only $14.49)!
Hardly perfect. You forgot ninjas, pirates, and space hamsters.
So . . . when can I pre-order? :P

Publishers must leave room for a sequel.

I'm another long-time lurker here, who just recently started posting. I took a long break from gaming after college during the 2E days, and I credit Paizo's work on Dragon and Dungeon to bringing me back into the hobby. I picked up a copy of each one day at the book store, and was immediately hooked back in. I can honestly say that those two magazines were the best they ever were under their direction, IMHO.
When WoTC went to 4E, and with limited gaiming funds, I had to make a choice where to spend my money. After buying and reading Classic Monsters Revisited, it wasn't a difficult decision. While I'm not a subscriber (yet ...), they have earned my loyalty for the forseeable future.

Thank you for that FWS. I appreciate a company who can admit when they didn't do such a great job.

Although I probably won't add anything to the discussion that hasn't already been said, I want to chime in, too.
I particularly want to praise Paizo for being so trasnsparent and so interactive with their customers. There's nothing like feeling as though you're part of a community, and yet, it's easy to feel that way around here. From customer service, to open playtesting, to the responsiveness of Paizo staff on these boards... there's just nothing about this company and their products that I don't like.

The Guide to Darkmoon Vale is all kinds of awesomeness! I'm not going to let a few typos get in the way of enjoying a well-written and evocative setting book. It's really sparked my imagination. For the last couple of weeks, I've been developing stories-that-must-be-written-- all based in Darkmoon Vale. Thank you Mike McArtor and the Paizo staff for delivering such an inspiring product!

I tried to get out, but Paizo pulled me back in!
Add me to the list that agrees "Paizo gets it" I was in a gaming slump. Our group stopped playing D&D and started playing Indie RPGs and such. To me, D&D became stale. I stopped buying splat books. For example, I have none of the Complete series, which a lot of people have. I just wasn't ineterested in D&D anymore. Then came the cancellation of Dungeon and Dragon.
I let my subscription go into the APs to check them out. I was floored! Although I wasn't playing, I couldn't wait for the next Paizo shipment. I was reading them like a novel. Since then, I have joined a new group and am looking forward to giving the PFRPG a go with an AP.
As for the Paizo content. I look at it as Paizo is thinking outside of the box. Not so far outside that its ridiculous or stupid, but just outside the line. Whether its Golarion history, the gods, psionics, whatever. It's different and unique but not too crazy which is perfect. I have never been a big fan of Campaign settings, but I caved. I can't wait for the next installment of Golarion. I love it!
Lastly, customer service and plain old communication is top notch.
Go, go, Paizo!!

I’m not subscribing, but I buy almost everything I found (even 3 copies of Dragon and Dungeon magazines of last year). I’m reserving the Patfinder’s Adventure paths in the comic book store I buy.
I have to admit that I haven’t read all, but even a few that I ask myself “why did I buy this?” surprise me when I read them.
I am INNOCENT!!! INNOCENT I tell you! How dare you blame me!
You are a PIAZOholic, admit it! (I don’t want to admit it myself, so I’m pointing my finger to others). <_<

All newcomers to the Paizo boards get free cookies! :D Those that need a good sugar rush on Friday afternoons get free cookies too.
*makes a mental note to safely ensconce the fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies she has at home*
Lays odds that McArtor's ninja minions purloin Lillith's fresh cookies, swapping them out Indiana Jones style with Oreos to thwart the boulder trap, then sneak off into the night.
Also lays odds McArtor's minions will be found by Lillith, then fed into a mulcher for thier low Will saves, failing the DC 73 'resist nomming' check to refrain from devouring said cookies in the local shrubbery.
McArtor, your ninja minions will be missed.
