Why would her sword be on the floor? She had the net out to begin with and was whacked by the guy before she could do anything else. I keep trying to draw it but failing because of the various circumstances.
Sorry, missed that. Correction: Ka'kara draws her sword, ready to charge. I suspect that Roylenna's spell will render the acrobatics check moot. And on an unrelated note: make a Fort save against 10 as your stomach doesn't quite agree with the potion.
Sandros manages to hit the warrior with the flat of his blade, concussing him slightly, but he keeps fighting. Roylenna casts a spell, causing Ka'kara to grow to a fearsome size.
Proteus is up, then the warrior.
Proteus
Proteus moves back to 0721 so that his spell radius will not include the groups "enemy" and chants "Vitae," healing 7 hp to Royl, Hella, and Ka'kara, even though I believe only Ka'kara needs it.
Black Tom
At the sight of the enormous barbarian woman, the warrior growls: "I don't care how large you are. You will all be chastised." At that he takes another swing at Sandros, but once again the fearsome sword is too large and clumsy for our agile hero.
Sandros, Ka'kara and Hella, then Roylenna and Proteus.
Sandros Highmount

Thank heavens! The instant that thing comes down on me, I'm toast!
Sandros, seeing that his first attack had some effect, strikes again, with much the same result.
Nonlethal rapier attack, with flank (1d20+5=23, 1d6+2=5)
Crit confirm (1d20+5=6, 1d6+2=4)
I'm not sure I've actually managed to confirm a crit this entire campaign...
Ka'kara Furyheart
Doesn't the warrior have to make an save every round to hold onto his greased weapon? Ka'kara is only damaged 1 hp now just as an FYI for everyone. lol, my huge self on the map made me laugh though I think I am just in front of Roylenna and just behind Hella as I moved there last round.
Fortitude save: 1d20+7=20 Actually, should be an 18 since she wasn't raging yet when she drunk that but still made it. What was in that potion?! Does it make her feel woozy?
BAB (+2) Str(+4) Raging (+2) overhand chop non-lethal (-4) blessed (+1) over-sized sword attack with flank (+2) 1d20+7=19, 3d6+14=27
Ignoring the man's words, Ka'kara seems to struggle with herself to avoid using the lethal edge of her sword and tries to bring the flat crashing down on the warriors head right above Hella's own. :sigh: the follies of being good.
Sandros Highmount
What was in that potion?! Does it make her feel woozy?
The woman who made it was, in Sandros' opinion, something of a crank. But better that than dead, so...
BAB (+2) Str(+4) Raging (+2) overhand chop non-lethal (-4) blessed (+1)
I keep forgetting the bless, dangit. Wouldn't have changed anything in any of the rolls so far, but...
Black Tom
Sandros manages to score another hit, but Ka'kara's efforts to be merciful slow her down and the warrior easily parries her blow. As he does so, however, his sword slips from his grasp and falls clattering to the ground.
And don't forget that Ka'kara has a -1 size penalty to her attacks.
Hella, Proteus and Roylenna are up.
Ka'kara Furyheart
And don't forget that Ka'kara has a -1 size penalty to her attacks.
Actually, I didn't forget but good catch anyway :). You get a +1 to hit for the strength boost but a -1 from the size increase so it's a wash for the spell and thus I ignored it to keep things simpler
Proteus
Future action
Proteus moves forward to 0827 pulling his sap out along the way, then taking a swing at Vladoff in an attempt to bring him down. Attack; subdual damage (1d20+3=21, 1d6+2=3).
Roylenna Brenoien
Roylenna, then Vladoff.
I feel like I'm slowing y'all down. If that's the case, I apologize. It's not been a good week for anything outside of work and sleep...
Roylenna will move up to the sword to try and grab it so she can move it out of the warrior's reach.
She will move to avoid the AOO (0825, 0826, 0927 - drop crossbow here, 0828 - grab sword). Due to its size, she's not trying to lift it, just take possession of it. She'll only lift it enough to get both tiny hands around the hilt -- if he's taking it away from him, he's going to have to come down and get it -- which should provoke AOO for the movement or the disarm, I'm hoping. I think she is out of actions with that.
"Vladoff, listen to me! We do not wish to fight you! Tell us how we may help you redeem your friends! Can we help you take their bones back to the blessed sky so that they may be forgiven their transgressions?"
Reflex save to get a grip on the sword: 1d20+6=14
Black Tom
I feel like I'm slowing y'all down. If that's the case, I apologize. It's not been a good week for anything outside of work and sleep...
No need to apologize. I don't expect any of you to post more than once a day. Anything above that is a bonus, not an obligation. And I think the game is running rather smoothly actually.
Roylenna rushes forward to grab Vladoff's sword and manages to hold on to it with some difficulty. Finding himself without a weapon, Vladoff jumps down from the ziggurat and runs toward 0127 and further west, granting an AoO to Hella and Ka'kara.
If he's still standing after that, Sandros, Hella and Ka'kara are up.
Ka'kara Furyheart
1d20+7=14, 3d6+14=22 The quick warrior moves to quickly as the giantess Ka'kara clumsily swings hitting only air.
Black Tom
Still standing, Vladoff is in ... er, -0123. There is a small room at the end of the corridor where three dead bodies are arranged each against one wall, with their gear neatly laid out at their feet. "Forgive me, Frist, but I must borrow your sword", he says as he's reaching for a longsword on the floor.
Sandros, Ka'kara and Hella, then Proteus and Roylenna.
Hella
With the warrior's attention towards acquiring another weapon and his back to us, Hella slinks to the western wall and tries to become very small.
In other words, she's moving out of line of sight and charges, and attempting to hide in 0429
Stealth: 1d20+12=30
Ka'kara Furyheart
Taking giant strides after the man Ka'kara comes up behind him and smashes the flat of her sword into the the man's midsection attempting to knock the air out of him. I think my 40' move easily gets me within range
1d20+7=26, 3d6+14=21
Crit confirm:1d20+7=13, 3d6+14=27
Black Tom
Ka'kara's mighty blow does indeed knock the breath out of Vladoff. He goes down like a ton of bricks and then lies still, breathing slowly.
And you have netted yourselves another 200 xp each.
The room he was running towards is small, only 20 feet square amd has no visible exits. In it three bodies are arranged in a macabre fashion. There are skeletal remains of an elf in rotted robes, a dwarven cleric in chainmail and a human in tattered leather armor. At their feet their belongings are neatly arrayed, including a masterwork dagger, two light crossbows, a mighty composite shortbow (+1), a masterwork longsword , a heavy mace and a large steel shield.
Ka'kara Furyheart
What about his great sword? Was it special in any way?
The giantess hefts the man easily so that Hella can bind him securely. In a booming voice, "He is mind sick then? Is there anything you can do for him Proteus?" Looking over toward the various equipment, "I could smash through those goblin doors with that mace if they prove to be a problem."
Roylenna Brenoien
There is nothing magical among the equipment, and the only thing magical Vladoff himself carries are his bracers. Roll for Spellcraft or Appraise, if you like and have Detect Magic.
Roylenna would and does:
Spellcraft 1d20+6=24"I detect a magical aura on only these bracers, though much of this equipment seems pretty nice to me."
As an aside, are either of the men in our party injured? IIRC, you are the only ones my Heavenly Fire would benefit...
Proteus

I'm at full, thanks!
EDIT: "We should relieve him of his things in case he gets squirrelly when he awakens. Particularly, those magical bracers. No need to make things difficult if we have to put him down again. We can keep them safe and give them back if we find he is deserving."

Roylenna, you know Ka'kara is good, right? That is why she asked you to set her on fire was to heal her.

No, I didn't. I thought Ka'Kara was neutral, sorry. That's why I played confusion at the request. I think Proteus has already fixed you up, but I will remember for next time. Sorry 'bout that.
"I have to agree with Proteus' idea. Let us remove his gear until we can ascertain whether he can be reasoned with."
Proteus
"Hmmmm," Proteus puzzles over the inability to remove the bracers. "We can't just leave him here like this and his disease is beyond my skill to heal. I suggest we tie him up and gag him while resting here. Then, when we awaken, we need to return him to Warwik and leave him in the care of the Temple of the Sun. Once we have done that, we can return and see if we can find Fenton."
Ka'kara Furyheart
Vladoff's greatsword turns out to be masterwork despite the fact that it could do with some polishing.
The bracers give off a mixed aura of moderate transmutation and abjuration. Strangely, they won't come off.
After returning to normal size Ka'kara picks up the greatsword used by the warrior and goes through some practice swings with it. She seems greatly pleased with it's balance and edge. Turning toward the others,"I'll hold onto it until we fix him up. With any luck Proteus can help him. He would be good to have around as he is quite able with a blade." She absentmindedly rubs the area where she was slashed as she says this.
Edit: ninja'ed!
Upon hearing Proteus' thoughts she shrugs and says, "Haven't been there. Do you think this "Fenton" will survive down here that much longer?" She straps the second greatsword across her back along side hers.
Roylenna Brenoien
Then I'd say, let's leave in the morning. We were due for a rest anyway, weren't we?
I vote we rest before we proceed. Will we be able to transport the remains? Maybe we can inter them into one of the tombs off the hall of mirrors. Can I tell how they died? (For example, did they die from a large sword?) Heal check 1d20+4=21
Black Tom

Yes, the two armored ones look like they died from a large sword. The wizard still has an arrow sticking out of her.
Sandros Highmount
20 gp says its the bracers he's wearing. How much for a scroll of remove curse back in town, eh?
"He killed his companions in his madness," Sandros says sorrowfully, processing the idea. "We should perhaps bring something of them with us, in case he wishes to pursue some sort of resurrection magic."
Proteus

"Good thinking, Sandros. Hopefully, too much time hasn't passed. We'll set out after our rest."
Black Tom
The other two passages from the ziggurat room meet behind it. There is also a small alcove to the west. You find the rest of Vladoff's equipment in another small room (20x20) where the passages meet. There are two winter cloaks, a pair of winter boots, 2 vials of antitoxin, a sunrod, a healer's kit and a gold pendant in the shape of a lightning bolt. None of this is magical.
Any particular sleeping arrangements? I think there is enough time left this day to allow Hella to level up before you go to sleep.
Black Tom
Ka'kara will examine the ziggurat very closely (takes 20) thinking it may have something to do with the warriors madness.
The ziggurat is circular, three-tiered and looks rather mundane. The floor around it is littered with bones and other debris. The walls are decorated with frayed tapestries depicting pastoral scenes bathed in sunlight, and there are several everburning torches set in sconces around the room.

Oh-ho! Ka'kara takes the everburning torches thinking she will be able to use them to explore this place further. If it goes out when she takes one, well, she'll just put it back then.
