Proteus
Someday, I'll hit this goblin (1d20+3=17, 1d6+2=7)
Proteus takes a frustrated swing at the goblin which strikes true. Assuming that takes the goblin down. Proteus then hurries toward the rest of the group. "Where's Rana?" he cries.
If I did not hit the goblin in the northern room, or if I didn't do enough damage to him to bring him unconcious, let me know, BT.
Sandros Highmount
"We still might have a chance for Rana!" shouts Sandros. "Healing for Ka'kara, Proteus, as fast as you can!" He looks at the barbarian. "Don't worry, me and the toothpick will handle them for as long as you need to take a break." He winks at her, then charges toward the goblins.
Charge attack on the goblin in 4517, moving to 4417 in the process.
Charging attack with bless (1d20+11=23, 1d6+2=4)
If the one in 4518 tries to get up:
AoO (if needed) (1d20+11=24, 1d6+2=7)
Roylenna Brenoien
If 4418 is still clear and Goblin 4517 is down when it's Roylenna's turn:
Color Spray, 15' cone, I believe the best coverage I can get is 4518,4618,4718,4617,4717. Will save DC 11 or be unconscious, blinded, stunned for 2d4 rounds, blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and stunned for 1 round.
If Goblin 4517 is still up or 4418 is occupied by an ally when it's Roylenna's turn:
In either case, she shouts over her shoulder in Goblin,
Ka'kara Furyheart
With a grim look, "Rana is dead." Ka'kara advances up to 4418 and finishes off the one still standing in front of Sandros. She pulls back the her blade and looks down at the other one prone in front of her, "Just try to get up."
To hit: 1d20+7=16, 2d6+8=16
Black Tom
Proteus finally takes down his enemy and joins the fray.
Between them, Sandros and Ka'kara finish off the standing goblin, and Roylenna burns the prone one. As he tries to crawl away, Sandros kills him.
The two behind gingerly try to rise and advance on you. 4617 manages to get to 4517 and take a swing at Sandros, while his friend remains in 4618.
The goblins behind them back off to 4816 och 4819, shifting their morningstars to their left hand and readying javelins. More goblins keep pouring into the room.
Sandros Highmount
Sandros' usual smile is gone, replaced with a grim focus. He stabs at the goblin that attacked him, but he seems already to be considering and reconsidering options that include the rest of the goblins.
Blessed rapier attack (1d20+9=14, 1d6+2=7)
IC has really not been my friend this fight.
On the off-chance that actually drops the goblin:
Ka'kara Furyheart
Between Sandros' and Ka'kara's blows the advancing goblin perishes. She then readies a javelin of her own.
To hit: 1d20+7=25, 2d6+8=15
So roughly how many goblins are we talking about here?
Proteus
Black Tom
So roughly how many goblins are we talking about here?
Somewhere between ten and fifteen, and more seem to be coming.
Ka'kara squashes another goblin, while Hella wounds one. Sandros's rapier can't seem to find any purchase.
Roylenna is up, then the goblins.
Roylenna Brenoien
Black Tom
Even with the crowd blocking her line of sight, Roylenna still manages to hit the goblin, bringing it down.
The next line of goblins hurl their javelins. Ka'kara is hit twice for 6 points. Sandros easily dodges.
At the back you hear a sickening crunch as the goblins bring their morningstars to bear on the fallen Rana. A moment later the helmeted goblin holds up Rana's severed head and cries in Goblin:
More goblins advance to 4916, 17, 18 and 19, but they are wary of the greasy deathtrap (and possibly of the imaginary wolves).
You're up.
Proteus
Um, I'm small, but I was standing there first. ;-) Retcon: Let's put Roylenna in 4217, yes?
Sorry, missed it in the spoiler, then I will have to wait to until Royl clears to heal Ka'kara, so that will be my action this round.
Ka'kara, don't forget to add 7 hp to your total.
Ka'kara Furyheart
With a grim look of her own, "Hun ur sumak sha thuri et ur miowatha ono jus a unma os kihomenk" She hefts the javelin in her hand, letting it fly and pierce one of the unwounded goblins up front (4816).
To hit: 1d20+2=17, 1d6+4=7 Not that it matters but that is a 18 to hit, forgot the bless
Tharbrian:
Got the healing Proteus, thanks. She is currently 12 of 24 hitpoints after your heal.

Two of the goblins fall and one is severely wounded. However, new goblins just move up to take their places. Javelins rain upon you. Ka'kara is hit for 1 point and Sandros for 3 poitns of damage. Meanwhile, the black-clad goblin, safely tucked away in the crowd, casts a spell at Ka'kara. Will save vs. 14.
It's you again.
Sandros Highmount
Starting to feel those javelins...
Unable to shoot past the mob to the spellcaster, Sandros picks a closer target and lets fly.
Shortbow attack, at an unwounded goblin (1d20+6=20, damage 1d6+1=3)

Attacking my strong point again I see ;p
Will save: 1d20-1=18 Ha! The IC gods are with her today! Anyone have any clue what he tried to cast on me? Proteus? Roylenna?

Shaking her head to clear it from the magic energies directed at her she glares at the goblin chieftan and says to the others, "If there is a way to clear a path to him, I'll cut him down with one blow and send this vermin screaming into the darkness. He's some sort of goblin shaman." Pulling the javelin stuck in her armor back out she throws it back at the goblin that launched it, missing by a few inches.
Javelin to hit: 1d20+3=10, 1d6+4=8
Proteus
Proteus moves back through the door and channels positive energy forward to his comrades.
Hopefully with doors and walls, it will only be useful to my allies.
Channel Positive Energy (1d6=6)
I'm beginning to think we need to close with the javelin throwers. But I'll leave that up to those closer to combat.
Ka'kara Furyheart

I think they have thrown 2 javelins each so far, they might be out or running low. Do they have many more BT? Oh, and btw how much damage does a goblin sized javelin do? 1d4? She probably going to pick up more of them soon and throw them back if this keeps up the way it has.
Roylenna Brenoien
This is Roylenna's fourth action since casting the Grease spell, which would normally last for 10 rounds, for those that might be curious.
Roylenna begins to sing an epic song of overcoming incredible odds, her voice carrying clearly to her friends despite the pitched battle.
Bardic Performance to Inspire Courage: +1 morale bonus to saves vs charm and fear effects; +1 morale bonus to attack and weapon damage rolls.
BT, does that damage bonus apply to my Heavenly Fire, too?
Black Tom
Another goblin falls and one is wounded and withdraws. The goblin leader curses as Ka'kara shrugs off his magic. He reaches for a scroll case and pulls out a dirty piece of parchment, as he mutters orders to the goblins.
The goblins in the front use their dead comrades to build a grisly (and squishy) bridge over the slippery area. Those squares are now difficult terrain (full of dead goblins) but passable.
As if to prove it, two goblins advance on Sandros and Ka'kara. The latter is hit for 4 points. More goblins follow with their morningstars at the ready.
Your turn, spartans.
...and this will have to be a cliffhanger since I'm going to the Canary Islands for a week. See you next Sunday.
Ka'kara Furyheart

Sounds like fun, I'm jealous
Ka'kara smiles as the goblin comes into range and lashes out with it's morningstar. She doesn't seem to acknowledge the pain that must be caused by the weapon striking. Her opponents have once again come into range of her greatsword and will swiftly rue the day as she cleaves the goblin with the audacity to face her.
To hit: 1d20+7=20, 2d6+8=15
Sandros Highmount
Sandros drops his bow, whips his sword free of its sheath and stabs at the goblin Ka'kara didn't just reduce to a paste.
Blessed rapier attack (1d20+9=10, damage 1d6+2=4)
Apparently the move is too quick, however, as his aim is so badly off that he very nearly hit's Ka'kara instead.
IC continues to hate me... :P

Roylenna Brenoien wrote:Those attacks don't appear to take my bardic performance into account. Don't forget the bonus to weapon damage......or my already silly damage. Wasn't sure you ended up sticking with it myself.
That's why I thought I would pipe up and let you know. It might be a mistake, but I'll have to live with it. Just like someone actually going through this and not realizing when their abilities do or don't stack would have to live with it.
Proteus
Proteus, how are you doing on channels? Can you stand far enough back from the line Ka'kara and I are (trying) to hold to heal us but not the goblins as they come across?
I've got one more channeling and four more CLW scrolls. I think there is a spot where I can stand and use channeling where only we benefit (like last round, did you get the 6 hp back?).
Proteus
In preparation for BT's return, I have placed a new updated map on the website. I assume that Ka'kara's blow was enough to slay the one standing in front of her. If there are any changes to be made, let me know.
Proteus moves forward back to his position behind Sandros, pulling out another scroll on his way. He reads the scroll and touches Ka'kara's back. CLW on Ka'kara (1d8+1=5)

Thank you! 18 of 24 hitpoints now :)

Hella notices that Sandros is having trouble with the goblin that is attacking him and takes a shot at him:
Crossbow Attack: 1d20+7=19 -4 (firing into melee) = 15
Damage: 1d6=3 +1 more if Roylenna is singing.
Roylenna is indeed singing.
Roylenna attempts her Heavenly Fire again. She will fire at 4517 if he's still standing, another random goblin if one comes within 30'.
Black Tom
I'm back! That was the first entire week without internet in a long time. Quite refreshing actually, although I missed you guys. ;o)
The goblins keep pressing on, filling the corridor. The black-clad leader is now in 4717. Although Ka'kara and Sandros (with the help of Hella) fell the two goblins before them, new ones keep milling in. Roylenna blasts one with her fire, but that doesn't stop it. Ka'kara is hit for 4 points, and Sandros for 3, taking some vicious blows to their knees. Worse, the spell-casting goblin casts another spell at Ka'kara, forcing a new Will save.
I don't think bardic music applies to the damage of the Heavenly Fire, since it only affects weapon damage rolls. On the other hand, I've decided that the 'fire' part is metaphorical, and that it's untyped (holy) damage. That doesn't help much now, but it should be a small improvement.
You're up. There are goblins everywhere and the one in front of Sandros is slightly wounded.
Sandros Highmount
Welcome back! Hope your trip was good! We definitely missed you too.
Sandros says something incomprehensible but probably not learned in his mother's house as he takes another wound, then attempts to strike back.
Music-boosted rapier attack (1d20+9=13, damage 1d6+3=4)
The wily creatures continue to elude his blade, however.
Oh, c'mon... I need a 6 or better to hit these guys. How do I keep missing?!?
Ka'kara Furyheart
Will save: 1d20-1=11 Don't remember whether the bless or Roylenna's song effects this save, if so add 1 to the result
To hit: 1d20+7=17, 2d6+8=15 If she still gets a strike. Here it is.
Facing the onslaught of the horde Ka'kara holds her ground and hacks them down as quickly as they come (hopefully). As the goblin falls she steps on the corpses strewn before her, closing the distance to the leader so but a goblin stands between them.
Black Tom
Will save: 1d20-1=11 Don't remember whether the bless or Roylenna's song effects this save, if so add 1 to the result
Neither helps in this case, so you are paralyzed. You can spend your action to try to resist the magic, though, making a new save. Since this came from a scroll the DC is 13.

New will save: 1d20-1=14 Whoohoo! I had a feeling that is what he kept trying to do to me. Wait til I reach you and you will feel pain, goblin!
Feeling her muscles seize up Ka'Kara gets a momentary panicked look but then her brow furrows in concentration as she focuses on moving her arm. The arm begins to move slowly, then her torso, finally breaking the rest of her body out of the paralytic grasp of the magic. Through gritted teeth, "That.....trick.....isn't......going.....to.....save....you..goblin."
