Yep, assuming they don't get prereleased on the DDI in the meantime. We do have some hints as to what they'll both look like when they make it though!

Cheers! :)

Yep - the lack of a druid in the PHB is a big problem. In my opinion that is the most glaring problem with the class selection for 4e.

And Manual of the Planes along with the Forgotten Realms setting and Martial Powers books before the druid is intro'ed? Hmmm...that does not sit too well with me.

I think they're trying to keep new classes from being introduced in areas other than the PHBs for the most part, although one is supposedly coming out in Dragon next month, and one of the FR books later this year will carry the Swordmage, an Arcane Defender.

I don't really mind, but then I never played Druids too much.

Cheers! :)

Yah..Unfortunately, this is a BIG deal-breaker for me as my wife exclusively plays druids. Too bad, since I like the game.

Maybe she could try a fey-pact warlock and see how she likes it? It's a shame to lose out on playing time.

Each new PHB will have new classes using new power sorces, The Druid and Barb will have a Nature powersorce, We also know that we will get Shadow, Psionic, and a bunch more (all talked about in the PHB)... It;s a little sad that we don;t have the Druid and Brb yet. But It will come...

You could probably make a decent barbarian using the Fighter class, focusing your points into Strength and Constitution, and grabbing some bonuses in Nature and Perception.

Also, check out the human berserker in the MM on page 163. They have an encounter ability called Battle Fury that I am sure you could give to a PC as a power with a minimum amount of work.
