Rhiannis goes forward two steps curses the next skeleton and unleashes a barrage of psychic fire at the cursed undead.

Rhiannis destroys one skeleton and, naturally, two more appear. Three arrows hit the only obvious target, Frivry (-12hp).

"This is getting troublesome. We need to figure what's going on and fast!"

"All I've been able to glean from our settins' is that Bahamut is the principle deity of this place. I have yet to understand why such an honorable god would be throwing hoards of undead at us!"
Quinn looks up at the lighted ceiling.
"Great Protector, we beseech ye' to quell this attack. We are goodly folk seeking to cleanse this place and mean your chapel no harm!"

Quinn is suddenly blessed with a burst of insight and, when his turn rolls around again, will kneel in prayer at one of the draconic altars.
"Bahamut, ally of Moradin and the other goodly gods of this world, please relieve us of this endless peril. We seek only to rid the world of the menace that now infests this once wondrous keep."

The light in the eastern area becomes bright, bathing the entire western corridor in dim light. The remaining skeletons re-enter their sarcophagi, which close with loud bangs. The hall is quiet, and filled with bones and weapons.
Male Human Paladin/3
"Good work Quinn" Gran sighs and relaxes beside the sarcophagi.
"Perhaps not the best place to be resting, but really I could care less"
Is there a bow and quiver near by? And if so how many arrows can I gather from the remains of the skeleton archers?
Male Eladrin Warlock 2
Rhiannis takes a deep breath and sighs. "Whew! It is certainly very cramped in those sarcophagi. Thanks, Quinn!"
Female Eladrin Wizard 3
Dyrnwyna keeps chanting, possibly just a little louder. Having started, she is determined to finish this ritual, whether it's needed or not.

Gran Rey wrote: Is there a bow and quiver near by? And if so how many arrows can I gather from the remains of the skeleton archers? There are lots of shortbows, quivers, and as many arrows as you want. And longswords, if you care.

Frivry sighs and says: "Fiou! Thanks, Quinn."
He begins to move in to take back the daggers he throws.
Male Dwarf Cleric 3
"Thank ye fellas'. I need to remember to have faith in the other gods, not just me own."
Quinn will stand with a grunt and move over to the rest of the party. He doesn't need to spend any surges but, if everyone is willing to wait 10-15 min., can use his powers to quicken everyone elses's healing.

In alphabetical order
Drynwyna= 10 extra hp if you spend a surge
Frivry= 8 extra hp if you spend a surge
Gran= 9 extra hp if you spend a surge
Rhiannis= 10 extra hp if you spend a surge
This would take about 10 minutes to do. You are free to spend any more surges if you need them.
M Halfling Rogue 3
Frivry is up to 18 HP and uses 4 surges.

Anybody doing anything else while waiting on Dyrnwyna?

He'll dump the shortsword he's been carrying for one of the long swords.
After picking up on of the bows he turns to the others "There are still some bows here. It would be best for those of us without ranged abilities to take them"

"No need here, lad, I've got my dwarven bows right here."

"Hmph," Dyrnwyna mutters, and rises to her feet awkwardly. Without explaining, she marches back down the hall to look at the writing on the first sarcophagus, and then to look at each of the remaining ones for any more clues -- or signs of treasure.

While standing up from his kneeling position, Quinn's dwarven stoneworking knowledge helps him spot a stone on the altar that is out of place. He reaches out and attempts to open the secret compartment.
"Ye' may all want to take a look at this."
M Human Expert 7
The secret compartment contains five small dragon statues of silver and platinum (60gp each).
There are large double doors opening to the east of this area; no other obvious exits save back through the bones.
Female Eladrin Wizard 3
"Well, that's a start," Dyrnwyna says, eyeing the statues with something that is slightly closer to a smile than a frown. "Shall we carry on through these doors, since we're here anyway?"
M Human Expert 7
Male Human Paladin/3
"Better these doors than trying to go through that gauntlet again"
Male Dwarf Cleric 3
"I'm not thinkin' those creatures will bother us again. This place feels much more....settled than it did before."
Quinn hand out a dragon statue to everyone in the party.
"Here, for good luck," says Quinn with a smile.
"As for where to go next, we should probably explore explore as much as we can while we're here. We may yet find another boon in this place."
M Human Expert 7
The doors open into a crypt, with a dais at the far end of the room. The raised dais holds a single coffin. Carved on the lid of the coffin is a warrior in plate armor with a sword laid across his chest, the point toward his feet.

Frivry observes the room and waits when his companions take the decision, because he knows he needs more a great rest than jumping in the fire.

Quinn looks around nervously, stealing several glances back to the coffin.
"Hmmmm...I'm not likein' the looks of this lads. Mayhap we should leave the dead to sleep?"
Male Human Paladin/3
"Agreed, no point in the waking or angering the dead"
Female Eladrin Wizard 3
"Oh, come on," says Dyrnwyna. "Isn't it a bit late now to be worried about disturbing the dead? We've just practically emptied a cemetery. Besides, this area was clearly protected by those altar of Bahamut. Probably the undead wouldn't have been able to pass these doors. Don't you at least want to look around?" Dyrnwyna is visibly itching with curiosity to examine the sarcophagus closer.
Male Human Paladin/3
"It's better to let sleeping dogs lie." Gran shoots the eladrin an irriated gaze.

Sorry, schoolwork caught up with me.
Quinn will tug on Drynwyna's sleeve.
"Come on, 'tis best not to be gettin' ourselves into more trouble with the Protector. There are still plenty of other places to explore."
Female Eladrin Wizard 3
Dyrnwyna rolls her eyes. "If I wanted to leave things alone and not cause trouble, I'd have stayed at home and married some some brainless blond lute-picker. Honestly, you sound like my mother."
Nevertheless, she allows herself to be led away from the tempting sarcophagus. "Where to next, then? I still would prefer to make sure that there are no enemies lurking at our backs before we go down those stairs past the rune traps. There were some doors we left unopened on the first level, right?"
Male Dwarf Cleric 3
"I understand what ye're sayin' lass, but I for one am a cleric first and an adventurer second. If ye' could see fit to indulge my beliefs in this case, I would be very appreciative."
"As for other doors. I recall that we left several passages unexplored from the room were we first entered. However, that door is barred and without a good solid axe, it'll take awhile to get through. Ye' could try blowin' it apart with yer' magics but we should avoid usin' fire, as we don't want to suffocate down here."
Female Eladrin Wizard 3
Dyrnwyna mumbles something mostly inaudible, waving her hand as if in surrender. "Right, let's go look at this barred door, then. I'm sure we can find something to do about it."
M Human Expert 7
As you turn to leave the crypt, the heavy coffin lid explodes in a flurry of dust. A humanoid skeleton girded in plate armor rises from the cloud. It holds aloft a longsword. “The rift must never be re-opened!” it croaks. “State your business, or prepare to die!”
